Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Game We Buried

The gym lights exploded, plunging everything into blackness.

When Natalie opened her eyes, she was back in the classroom.

The bottle sat in front of her, perfectly still. Dust motes floated in frozen air.

Felix was gone. So was Anne.

Only Alex remained — pale, motionless, staring at something Natalie couldn't see.

"Alex?" Natalie whispered.

Alex turned slowly. Her eyes were wide, glassy. "He said the game never ends," she said softly. "And he's right."

Natalie crawled backward. "Where are they? Where's Felix? Anne?"

"They told their truths," Alex murmured. "Now it's our turn."

The bottle spun by itself, creaking against the wood. It pointed directly at Natalie.

Alex smiled faintly. "Truth or dare?"

Natalie's throat was dry. "Truth."

The world tilted.

Alex leaned close, her voice no longer her own.

"Do you remember what really happened?"

Natalie's vision blurred — flashes of memory, screaming, the shove, the blood.

Then another flash: Natalie's own body, lying lifeless on the gym floor.

Liam wasn't the one who died.

Her voice came out as a whisper. "That's not possible…"

Alex — or whatever was inside her — smiled. "You never left this place. None of us did. We've been playing ever since."

Natalie looked around — the classroom decayed in fast motion, wallpaper peeling, walls collapsing. The air filled with whispers of laughter and dares.

"Truth or dare?" the voices echoed.

Natalie screamed, but the sound died before leaving her throat.

The bottle spun one last time — and stopped, pointing at you, the reader.

A faint whisper crawled out from the page:

"Your turn."
