Chapter 122 - Chapter 122 Moon Temple

Village Chief Moca took a step back and asked with a trembling voice, "What does that mean?"

Ezreal spread his hands and said nonchalantly, "Exactly what it sounds like. If you haven't harmed anyone, then it's fine. But if you have, then you'll die too."

Ezreal looked up, his gaze fixed on the highest point of Galuna Island, the ancient temple standing on the mountaintop.

Its pyramid-like shape appeared ancient and solemn.

Ezreal said, "Money isn't important. Your reward is quite high, but if I'm working for a bunch of scumbags, it goes against my code of conduct. I don't mind getting rid of you all after solving the main problem. It just so happens I haven't encountered pure-blooded demons before."

Village Chief Moca had been secretly putting his hand behind his back, signaling to the other villagers to leave quickly.

He was older and had already noticed that the golden-haired young man in front of him didn't seem to respect them, the clients for this mission, and even harbored some ill will.

This was evident from Ezreal's condescending attitude and his Summoned Beast, which he hadn't dismissed.

However, Village Chief Moca suddenly heard Ezreal utter the words "pure-blooded demon," and his hand movements immediately paused. He looked up at the golden-haired young man in disbelief.

Village Chief Moca said incredulously, "Pure-blooded demon? What do you mean by pure-blooded demon?"

Ezreal smiled meaningfully and said, "Of course, it's exactly what it sounds like."

Village Chief Moca's face turned pale, changing color several times, and he said with a trembling voice, "Do you mean..."

Ezreal again waved his hand, interrupting the Village Chief's speech. He lightly tapped the head of the Shadow Direwolf and said, "Let's save the small talk for later. I need to solve the big problem first. Let's go, to the Moon God Temple."

The Shadow Direwolf let out a low growl, its black wings, which had been folded at its sides, suddenly spread open. With a flap of its wings, the giant wolf carried Ezreal into the air.

The strong winds generated by the Shadow Direwolf's flapping wings caused Village Chief Moca and the honest man, who were standing close by, to squint their eyes.

Just as they were about to say something, they saw the huge black wolf flap its wings and disappear from their sight almost instantly... Galuna Island, Moon God Temple.

This was a massive and ancient palace, shaped like a pyramid, about ten meters high.

On the front of the temple, in the center of the wall, a large crescent moon pattern was carved.

Directly below the crescent moon pattern was a large, open stone gate.

Ezreal was currently standing in front of the stone gate, slowly walking inside.

Behind him lay a ground full of unconscious masked figures.

These people wore black robes and white hoods that covered their entire heads. In the center of their masks was a purple moon insignia.

Dozens of people lay motionless on the path leading up the steps, but from their slightly rising and falling chests, it was clear they were all still alive.

These people were all subordinates recruited by Lyon Zero, and their strength was not great, all at D-rank or C-rank level, a bunch of cannon fodder.

Ezreal walked into the Moon God Temple, his expression particularly relaxed and joyful.

The entire temple's air was filled with moon energy, which is a type of light-attribute magic power.

Moreover, it seemed to have some kind of purifying effect; there was no trace of evil in this temple.

This could be said to be the cleanest and most comfortable place on the entire island for Ezreal.

Ezreal walked into the temple. The interior of the temple was exceptionally spacious, with a crescent moon sculpture in the center and nothing else.

He looked around and then returned to the entrance of the main hall.

"In the entire temple, only directly beneath this spot, there's a strange magical aura," Ezreal crouched down, placing his palm on the ground, and forming a sword-finger with his other hand.

"Dimensional Summoning, Magic Share, Shadow Walk."

A white light flashed in Ezreal's eyes and then vanished. Immediately after, his body suddenly exploded into a thick cloud of black smoke, seeping into the floor tiles.

This was a magic belonging to the Shadow Worgen, capable of temporarily merging the physical body with darkness and traversing through it.

Ezreal's Dimensional Summoning training progress was good, and he was gradually mastering the ability of Magic Share.

Now, most of the magic he knew could be shared with his Summoned Beast.

However, sharing the Summoned Beast's magic with him was a bit unfamiliar, and he wasn't very accustomed to using it.

But it was barely usable.

Moon God Temple, underground cavern.

Ezreal, transformed into black smoke, followed the cracks in the floor tiles and arrived in the underground cave located beneath the temple.

This cave was extremely spacious, looking like a stalactite cave, with rich moisture inside, and some stone pillars were still dripping water.

And in the very center of the cave, directly beneath the Moon God Temple, there was a pale purple pool of water.

In the middle of this pool, a massive white block of ice encased a black demon nearly ten meters tall.

This demon had a green face, fangs, two small curved horns on its head, black scales all over its body, and a muscular build.

Its facial expression was a mix of ferocity and shock.

It seemed this big guy was also shocked at being sealed.

A cloud of black smoke quickly moved along the ground to the edge of the pool. The black smoke coalesced and reformed into Ezreal's shape.

Ezreal's eyes glowed with white light as he intently observed the frozen demon.

"Good, its life force still exists."

"Truly worthy of being an immortal demon, Deliora."

"Absolute Zero, a magic that consumes life force, sealed for over ten years, and it's still not dead," Ezreal couldn't help but exclaim, his voice filled with surprise.

In Ezreal's perception, although Deliora's life force in its frozen state was extremely weak, it was astonishingly resilient and tenacious.

If it were truly unsealed at this moment, this immortal demon might even be able to recover little by little through its astonishing regenerative power.

After all, creatures like demons possess an unusually tenacious life force.

A faint white light glowed around Ezreal as he floated into the air, coming to rest directly in front of the ice block. He extended his left hand and placed it on the ice.

An extreme coldness radiated through his palm, causing Ezreal to shiver slightly and frown.

"Ur's strength is indeed formidable; such extreme cold is truly terrifying."

"A fatal seal that sacrifices the caster themselves, Absolute Zero..."

Ezreal endured the near-freezing cold that threatened to stiffen his arm, carefully sensing the ice block and Deliora within it. After two or three minutes, he withdrew his arm, which was already radiating cold.

White light glowed on his arm as Ezreal shook his hand, using light magic to dispel the cold.

"It seems I can't delay; it's already very weak," Ezreal muttered to himself, his gaze shifting from the ice block to the pale purple water. "But before that..."
