Chapter 123 - Chapter 123 Ice and Demon

Just then, a faint sound of footsteps broke the silence.

A cold voice came from behind.

"Intruder, is that you?"

Ezreal turned his head and saw a figure in a silver cloak silently appear in the shadows not far away.

The person wore a silver horned mask, revealing only a pair of deep eyes, which exuded an undeniable presence.

Behind him were three strangely shaped people.

A Pink-haired Girl with pink twin ponytails, wearing a black mini dress and black over-the-knee high-heeled leather boots, with two white feathers on the back of her clothes, her hands clasped in front of her chest, her lips painted with pink lipstick, and blue eyes, looking very delicate.

A short gentleman with blue hair, wearing a long robe, with his hands clasped behind his back, looking somewhat scholarly.

The last one was rather strange; he was tall and thin with brown hair, wearing a small dog hair clip on his head, bare-chested, with sharp, long fingernails that looked more like claws, and a somewhat dazed expression, appearing not very intelligent.

"You've come at a good time." Ezreal carefully sized up the four people, then smiled gently and said, "I was just looking for someone to talk to."

Ezreal clasped his hands across his chest, his body descending from the air back to the ground, the white light on him slowly fading.

The Pink-haired Girl, walking on the far left, stared at Ezreal unblinkingly, her hands pressed to her chest, her face slightly flushed.

"Ah, so handsome, my heart is pounding. Is this love?" The Pink-haired Girl felt a surge of excitement in her heart, yet maintained her composure, observing Ezreal up and down.

The more she looked, the more satisfied she became, and her eyes grew brighter.

"This is…"

The Pink-haired Girl, whose attention was entirely on Ezreal, keenly noticed the Fairy Tail emblem on the back of Ezreal's right hand; her expression subtly changed, and her eyes cleared considerably.

The Pink-haired Girl softly reminded the masked man leading the group, "Be careful, Lord Zero, this emblem, he seems to be a Mage from Fairy Tail."

The blue-haired youth, about 1.5 meters tall, stepped forward, standing alongside the masked man referred to as Lord Zero, a smile on his face as he looked at Ezreal, "No wonder he could deal with the guards so easily. So he's from that most troublesome Fairy Tail."

The Dog-eared man opened his mouth wide; his mouth was filled with sharp, pointed canine teeth, and his voice was also very harsh, "Fairy Tail, huh!"

Ezreal gave an awkward smile, thinking to himself that his reputation truly preceded him, both good and bad.

Ezreal nodded, "That's right, I am a Mage from Fairy Tail."

The masked man leading the group, referred to as Zero, looked directly at Ezreal, his gaze from behind the mask carrying a chilling coldness, "Why did you break in here?"

Ezreal's smile remained unchanged; he pointed to Deliora, who was frozen behind him, and then to the quartet opposite him.

"Isn't it obvious enough?" Ezreal retorted.

The masked man spoke again, his tone deepening, "How did you know of Deliora's existence?"

Ezreal held up a finger and waved it, "That's not important."

Ezreal looked at the four people in front of him, the smile on his face fading slightly, "A life consumed by hatred certainly seems very difficult."

The trio, who had been on alert behind the masked man, all stiffened, their expressions showing subtle changes.

A faint chill emanated from the corners of the masked man's mouth, and the temperature in the air suddenly dropped; he spoke word by word, "Who exactly are you?"

Feeling the rapidly intensifying cold in the air, Ezreal looked at the masked man with interest, "Good magic power, but you're still a bit lacking. Just an ordinary A-rank level, a little stronger than Gray, but very limited. If you want to become stronger and surpass Ur, you should work harder. At this level, you're still far off."

The masked man suddenly raised his hand and waved it, and ice-blue cold air gathered from the ground, forming a path of ice thorns that rapidly extended towards Ezreal.

"Dustless Ground." Ezreal's smile remained unchanged; he lightly stomped his foot on the ground, and a dazzling white light, in the form of a circular shockwave, spread outwards from his center, carrying extreme high temperatures.

The white shockwave, formed from intense solar energy, easily shattered the incoming ice thorns, and its momentum remained undiminished, almost instantly sending the masked man and his three companions flying.

Violent explosions and dust permeated the cavern, but after a brief two or three seconds, the dust slowly dissipated.

Ezreal, composed, maintained his posture with his arms crossed; the ground within a ten-meter radius around him had been flattened, and the original rubble and stone pillars had been reduced to dust by the shockwave.

It seemed the cavern had become considerably more spacious all at once.

On the other side, the masked man had a massive Ice Wall in front of him, its surface covered in fine, spiderweb-like cracks.

Behind the Ice Wall, the Pink-haired Girl and her two companions hid behind the masked man, their faces filled with fear, looking incredulously at the blonde youth not far away.

Ezreal smiled at the four of them, "Good reaction, but if you are rude again, you will lose the right to stand and speak to me."

The masked man shattered the already crumbling Ice Wall in front of him with a punch; a massive amount of ice-blue cold air surged upwards from his body, as he fully unleashed his magic power.

"Bastard!" The masked man roared in fury, his ice-blue gaze piercing through his mask, fixed intently on Ezreal.

"Don't yell." Ezreal's smile slowly faded, and his eyes glowed with white light, followed by a massive amount of light-attribute magic power emanating from his body as white light, an incomparably bright and dazzling white pillar of light shooting up into the sky.

Within the intense light-attribute magic power, there was a fierce, beast-like aura.

Moreover, whether it was an illusion or not, the masked man and his three companions seemed to catch a fleeting glimpse of several pairs of eyes, of various colors but filled with malice, flashing within the towering white pillar of light.

The white light expanded rapidly, almost instantly covering the entire cave; the air vibrated, the ground shook, and under such a massive magical aura, the cave felt as if it had become a muddy swamp, making breathing difficult and movement sluggish.

The masked man, who had been in a state of explosive power, was suppressed by Ezreal's magical aura, and his ice-blue magic power was directly forced back into his body.

The masked man had originally been in a state of fury, but with the surge of Ezreal's magical aura, his entire demeanor cleared.

Even through the mask, his astonishment was palpable.

"This is impossible… this kind of magic power…" The masked man muttered in disbelief, his body trembling slightly.

The trio beside him were even worse off; their faces were pale, their foreheads and backs covered in cold sweat, and their bodies involuntarily retreated several steps, with only the masked man barely managing to stand his ground.
