Chapter 45 - It's Marcus' Ghost.

Ava rested her head on Dr Wilson's chest. It felt protective, and too comfortable enough to erase her fears. She wished she could give him what he wanted, in return, but she knew she couldn't. Her eyes did not dart for anything beyond what her heart was content to give, neither did it race wildly for what Dr Wilson, had expected. 

Maria knew what she meant, when she said, she needed a man. If Dr Wilson's love was all that the world could offer, then she would ask if he could be a brother, or perhaps, her Father, but she was glad he respected his boundaries, but she wasn't sure if it hurt him. She adjusted a little in his embrace, and wished she could calm her fears from what was going to happen in about five hours.

Dr Wilson read against her fears. "Your heart's seems strong for Alfred's surgery today Ava!"
