Chapter 4 - Everyone in the prison is a talent

Green Dolphin Street State Prison is a prison built on an isolated island, connected to the mainland by only one ten-minute drive across a sea bridge.

Therefore, to facilitate the Guards' work within the prison, an apartment complex for Guards was specifically established inside the prison.

The apartments were right next to Block One, connected to the main control building, and only a twenty-minute walk from the Men's Prison for an adult.

After returning to his apartment, Cain quickly ate a sandwich, then eagerly began to adapt to Star Platinum's abilities.

Besides its time-stopping ability, Star Platinum's most commendable feature was its almost invincible five A's and one C stat panel; in addition to its basic A-rank in both power and speed, Star Platinum also possessed the rarest attribute for a close-range power-type Stand: A-rank precision.

Throughout Parts 3 to 6, the only Stand that simultaneously had A-rank in both power and speed and A-rank precision belonged to Jotaro Kujo.

During its clashes with The World, which also had A-rank in both power and speed, Star Platinum could silently place magnets on DIO's sleeve while delivering high-speed ora punches—this was the advantage of high precision.

"Buzz—"

Just then, an irritating sound reached Cain 's ears. Cain tilted his head slightly, and Star Platinum's figure instantly appeared behind him.

Its extremely high precision provided it with the ability to identify images precisely, allowing Cain to easily see the creature making the sound.

A fly!

"Its exterior has a metallic sheen with a black luster, its entire antennal arista is feathery, the second antennal segment has a distinct indentation, and there are two dorsolateral bristles and a posterior humeral bristle at the lateral to anterior suture..." Cain , having thoroughly read the encyclopedia of insects, was well-versed in these characteristics, and then made his final judgment, "This is a vomit fly, a Calliphora vomitoria from the Calliphoridae family, found in temperate and tropical regions."

"It lacks a post-scutellum, so it seems this fly is somewhat underdeveloped."

Cain smiled, then gave Star Platinum the command to attack.

"ora—"

Star Platinum punched at light speed, pinching the fly's two wings within 0.04 seconds.

"Buzz—"

With its wings pinched, the fly's buzzing became even more agitated, and it struggled continuously. However, with such little strength, it would be difficult to escape even from a child's hand, let alone Star Platinum.

However, Cain had no intention of harming the fly. He then walked to the window and tossed it out.

The moment it was released, the fly flew again without any hindrance.

Its wings, thinner than paper, had not sustained any damage from the recent pinching.

Turning around, Cain leaned against the windowsill and took out a bag of steel beads he had prepared earlier.

"Next up is shooting practice..." Cain controlled Star Platinum, picked up a steel bead, and assumed a flicking posture.

Not all enemies would engage Star Platinum in a direct brawl within its Stand's range.

More often, battles would occur beyond its range.

Using steel beads, within a controlled environment, could ensure an effective range of twenty meters. Compared to a handgun, steel beads were more convenient to carry, thus becoming Cain 's [preferred ammunition].

"So, the first shot..."

Cain 's eyes sharpened, instantly locking onto a dartboard on the wall opposite the window.

With a 'bang,' a steel marble embedded itself in the center of the target.

Immediately following were two more whooshing sounds.

"Whoosh—"

"Whoosh—"

Two steel beads successively hit the bullseye, driving the previously embedded steel bead deeper into the target.

Cain walked closer to inspect and found that it had penetrated the target and embedded itself into the wall.

"The aim is also fine." Cain nodded, "However, the next test cannot be conducted in this room."

After precision, what Cain wanted to test was Star Platinum's rapid-fire punches.

He dared not easily attempt punches exceeding the speed of light in his own room.

Although room damage could be repaired at public expense, or he could directly switch rooms through connections, it would inevitably attract Father Pucchi's attention. He currently wasn't confident in fighting Father Pucchi... At least not until he had fully mastered Star Platinum, would he avoid a direct confrontation with Father Pucchi.

With this conviction, Cain went to the Guards' usual activity room.

Since it was still working hours, the activity room was empty except for one inmate cleaner.

"Hey, the room is already very clean. You can go clean somewhere else."

Cain waved at the inmate, then walked to the fitness area in the corner of the room.

The inmate quickly exited the room, closing the door behind him as he left.

"Bang—"

"Bang—"

Not long after the inmate left, continuous striking sounds began to emanate from the room.

Until the sound of a heavy object falling was heard.

The next second, Cain pushed open the door and walked out, a slightly damp towel draped over his neck.

After Cain left, the inmate cleaner emerged from the corner of the stairs.

He had just heard the sound of a sandbag falling!

"Creak—"

But when he pushed open the door, he found that the room was even cleaner and tidier than he had imagined.

"What, what on earth is going on?!" The inmate was puzzled.

The room now was even cleaner than when he had left it after cleaning.

The inmate searched every corner, attempting to find a speck of dust.

But the result left him greatly disappointed.

None!

Almost perfect cleaning!

Even in the most difficult corners to clean, not a single speck of dust could be seen.

"But, wasn't there a sandbag here before?" The inmate Lorence scratched his head, but he didn't suspect Cain .

After all, when Cain left, he hadn't taken anything except a towel.

Surely, he couldn't have hidden a forty-plus-kilogram sandbag under his sweat-drenched clothes, could he?

Impossible, absolutely impossible!

Walking out of the spotless room, Lorence's feet scuffed on the corridor floor, making a rustling sound.

"What is this?" Lorence bent down and lightly brushed the ground.

Brown particles, with a metallic sheen.

"It looks like the filling from a sandbag..."

But the next second, there was a flash of silver light.

Lorence's body tilted forward, but then he suddenly straightened up and staggered towards a corner in the blind spot of the surveillance cameras.

"Yare yare, this prison really is full of talented people. Wouldn't it be better to be a bit more foolish?"

Cain supported Lorence's body, placing him in the corner.

Then he stopped time again, cleaned up the sand on the ground, and scattered some leaves.

Only then did he leave the scene.
