Chapter 5 - Uproar in the Canteen

Jenara arrived at school, slightly dazed and almost insane. She couldn't help but think about what happened to her last night. It was a truly shocking plot twist.

How could Mr. Edward marry her sister? Wouldn't it be embarrassing if Mr. Edward became her brother-in-law and they had a disgusting history? What if Sister Zeline found out about the breast-sucking yesterday? She definitely wouldn't forgive Jenara.

"Jenara!" Steven called from the parking lot. Jenara, who had just stepped into the school gate, smiled broadly.

"Why do all my problems suddenly disappear when I meet this one person?" Jenara muttered, her steps naturally moving towards Steven in the parking lot.

"Going alone?" Jenara nodded, her smile not fading from her lips in the slightest.

"Where are Mora and Fani?" asked Steven again.

"They've already left, they're on PMR duty today," Jenara answered casually.

Steven just nodded then gave the lunch box to Jenara.

"What is this?" asked Jenara as she immediately opened the lunch box.

"Your favorite chocolate jam toast," Steven replied as he took off his jacket.

Jenara looked radiant when she saw the toast, "Is this for me?" Steven nodded, making Jenara purse her lips thinly.

"Thanks," Steven just smiled and ruffled Jenara's hair.

"I have a basketball game tomorrow, if you have time, can you come watch my game?" Jenara was speechless when she heard the offer.

"Are you serious?" Jenara asked back, making Steven unable to hold back his small laugh.

"Yes, of course, I'm the one who asked you to come," Jenara really couldn't hold back her smile at this time.

Jenara nodded firmly, without removing the smile from her lips.

"I'll definitely come watch your game," Steven smiled and slung his bag over his shoulder.

"Then I'll go to class first, there's some unfinished assignment from yesterday," Steven ruffled Jenara's hair again before leaving.

Jenara, receiving this sweet treatment, jumped for joy when Steven left. Even some of the students who saw her stared in confusion and surprise at Jenara's behavior.

Who knows, in the parking lot, there was Mr. Edward who was still in his car, staring at Jenara and Steven all this time.

"What makes her so happy? Is it just because her hair was messed up that she became cheerful and smiled non-stop? That's ridiculous," Edward grumbled as he got out of his car.

His gaze was still fixed on Jenara, who was tightly clutching the lunch box Steven had given her. Edward chuckled softly and immediately walked away to his room.

When the bell rang for break, Jenara and her two friends were in the canteen.

Mora and Olea could only stare at Jenara in surprise and with many questions.

"How long are you going to stare at that lunch box?" asked Olea, surprised by Jenara's crazy, love-struck attitude.

Jenara smiled, looking at Mora and Olea cheerfully, "I don't think I'll eat it, how about I preserve it, with a writing as a memento from Steven."

Mora and Olea immediately went to the sink where they washed their hands and pretended to be throwing up, making Jenara growl in annoyance at the excessive behavior of the two of them.

"Sorry, we get a little nauseous when we hear someone bragging or being in love," Mora said while pretending to wipe her mouth with a tissue.

Jenara looked at the two of them in annoyance, drinking the orange juice in front of her until it was finished, "You guys are really too much, instead of supporting my relationship with Steven, you're like this." Olea raised an eyebrow in surprise.

"Support? What kind of relationship do you and Steven have? Are you special? Are you the only one? Did Steven ever say he loves you?" Olea asked her random but reasonable questions.

Jenara immediately pushed her empty glass to the center, staring at the lunch box with her lips protruding forward, "There's no special relationship, but I feel special to him. The proof is that I was also asked to watch his basketball game."

Mora and Olea immediately turned their faces away with the grumbling and all the curses they uttered.

"You think you're the only one invited to watch? All the other students were also invited to watch the game, so they'd have a large crowd," Olea said angrily.

Jenara could only purse her lips and pout forward.

"So what do you mean by giving me toast with my favorite chocolate spread if I don't like it? It must have been emotional, right?" Mora and Olea immediately exchanged glances.

Mora quickly opened the lunch box, making Jenara panic.

"You said you made burnt bread like this with your feelings? Those special sweet martabak sellers out there also use feelings but never build relationships with their customers. Do you think anything using feelings is called love? If that's the case, anyone can fall in love with anyone if it involves feelings, even bread like this makes feelings uncertain," Mora grumbled at length and with annoyance.

Jenara could only remain silent and put her head on the table.

Olea nudged Mora's elbow as Dera's group entered the canteen.

Mora immediately put the toast back into the lunch box.

Suddenly Dera crossed around their table, "Hey wait, isn't this your lunch box, Der?" said Cena who immediately took the lunch box that Steven had given to Jenara.

Mora and Olea exchanged glances, before Jenara got up from her chair and grabbed the lunch box.

"This is from Steven for me," Jenara said, not wanting to be outdone.

Dera narrowed her eyes when she heard that, "But I bought this for Steven." Dera snatched the lunch box from Jenara's hands again.

Jenara tried to grab it but Cena pushed her roughly until Jenara fell to the floor.

Mora and Olea quickly helped Jenara to get up.

"Don't be too excessive, this is just a lunch box, not gold to fuss over," Olea said angrily.

Dera immediately approached Jenara with a flat stare, "You know, you could be called a nuisance or a relationship wrecker if you act like this. All the students also know that you are chasing Steven, but what do you get in return, you seem cheap and lowly. Steven only sees me, not you." Olea, who heard that, looked furious and pushed Dera's shoulder roughly.

"There's no need to act powerful, let alone feel like you've won because you've gotten more attention than Steven, a model like Steven is the one being fussed over, Jenara can get someone better than him, Steven is the one who's itching and likes to give Jenara hope, the itching side can also come from guys, it doesn't have to be girls," Olea angrily said, making Dera clench her fists tightly.

Dera immediately pushed Olea, which led to a heated argument and fight.

What started as just an argument now turned into hair pulling, even the entire canteen was noisy with their argument.

And Dera and Jenara's situation is no longer stable. They're a complete mess and chaotic.

"Stop!" one of them shouted to end the argument.

"You are called to the teacher's lounge!" the student continued to inform.
