Raven looked around in disbelief. Had he really gone back in time? It felt so surreal.
"Ha, is fate trying to give me a second chance to right a wrong? Well, it's probably because of the Archmage. I swear, this time I'll grow stronger than ever and stop his wake of havoc." He clenched his fist.
From the corner of his eye, Raven noticed a white envelope placed on a desk. He shuddered. He had an idea what was inside, yet he still felt compelled to check. Opening it, he read the letter, and his expression hardened.
"This is the letter my sister wrote to me just before leaving for her mission to the Frozen Lands."
From the letter, a small necklace slipped out and fell to the ground. When Raven picked it up, his eyes widened.
"Where's the gem?! There was a bright red gem set in this necklace, why is it missing?"
Then it occurred to him. He read the contents of the letter again.
[...I left you a present in this letter. I found it in a dungeon near the Turflandian border. It's said to be an artifact belonging to the goddess Moirae. They say it can rewrite fate (not that I've verified it myself, huhu). But keep it as a keepsake, a reminder that I love you, my sweet little brother Raven...]
Raven's eyes grew misty, and he quickly rubbed them with his hands.
"Even in death, Dinah still protected me. This time, I won't let the tragedy of my past life repeat itself." He clutched the letter tightly.
His suspicions were confirmed. The necklace Dinah had given him was what caused his regression. The gem had vanished because it had fulfilled its purpose, only to be rediscovered later b
Wearing a stoic expression, Raven prepared to leave the room. That was when he noticed a blinking light hovering above his face. Almost instantly, the blinking dot expanded, and words spread across the air before him.
[Congratulations, you have awoken your bloodline...]
"Huh?! Bloodline? What is this supposed to mean?" Raven stared, stupefied.

Raven stared at the holographic screen, confused. He had the bloodline of a god within him? But why had it never awakened in his past life until now? Was it because of the gem?
In his past life, he knew there were people across the world with special abilities granted by gods. But he had never heard of bloodlines.
Did many of those ability users come from godly bloodlines? How many celestial bloodlines even existed? How many people were out there with unawakened ones?
Raven had countless questions, but one thing was certain: fate wanted him to grow stronger and defeat the Archmage.
"This will be a great tool. I won't just rely on my swordsmanship anymore," he muttered.
"But how do I even rank up? How does this Champion System work?"
[To level up, defeat monsters and people. Absorb core shards...]
"Should have expected that."
[To use skills and abilities, make a mental command to specify your request...]
"Hm. Quite easy, I must say. Too bad there isn't a skill I can test right now."
Raven stepped out of the wooden house into the open compound. In his hand was a wooden sword.
"In my past life, I reached the Soul Stage. But now, I'll have to start all over from the Mana Stage. Everything reset, except my memory. It doesn't matter. I now have the means to grow stronger, faster."
In the world of Heaters, the primary source of energy was Mana, an ambient force abundant throughout the universe. To wield this energy to its fullest, nations developed two primary paths: Magic Cultivation and Weapon Cultivation.
Each path was divided into six stages and countless branching disciplines.
For Weapon Cultivation, the stages were: Mana Stage, Aura Stage, Soul Stage, Spirit Stage, Mystic Stage, and Divinity. Its disciplines encompassed all manner of arms: swords, spears, war hammers, lances, and more.
For Magic Cultivation, the stages were: Low Level, Mid Level, Advanced Level, High Level, Legendary, and Divinity. Disciplines included Healing Magic, Elemental Magic, Teleportation, and more.
Raven was a Weapon Cultivator who took pride in the way of the sword. Due to his regression, his strength was reset, forcing him to begin again. Taking a slow breath, Raven infused his wooden sword with mana. It glowed red.
At the Mana Stage, mana was used to reinforce weapons, preventing breakage and enhancing damage output.
He began to swing, slashing the air with flexible yet disciplined movements.
"My body may be younger, but it still remembers my sword dance. Is this what they call muscle memory?"
Raven moved with superhuman speed, weaving through five trees set in a zigzag pattern. Seconds later, faint red lines appeared across their trunks. One by one, the trees toppled to the ground.
"Man, I feel alive! Hahaha, just like old times." Raven looked at the fallen trees, then let out a nervous laugh.
"I don't think any sixteen-year-old in the Mana Stage could do this with a wooden sword."
Straightening his stance, he smirked.
"All right. Time to increase my strength and level. Let's go hunt some monsters."
He fixed his gaze on the thick jungle ahead.
