His heart nearly jumped when he greeted his stepmother's arrival that morning. His stepmother usually never visited him on holidays, unless there was an ulterior motive. It wasn't just Diana's perspective that hated Callum; Callum also deeply resented Diana because his relationship with Edith had always been troubled by Diana.
Last night, Callum had hoped nothing new would happen to them. However, a new problem arose, and he had to do everything he could to keep Diana out of the house. If Diana found out about their rekindled relationship, he was sure she would torture Edith again.
"Why won't you let me in? Did I come at a bad time?" Diana asked sharply.
"I'd rather ask you a question. Why are you coming to me now? Haven't I always said I hate rude people coming into my house?" Callum replied coldly.
"Actually, I came to you now because there's something I want to discuss with you. Would you like us to discuss it here so that others can hear?"
