Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Explosive Growth

Chen Ping escorted Han Jue through the training camp for a while longer before finally dismissing him for the day.

The wilderness survival expedition had just begun. The Thunder Dojo's designated hunting ground was Antarctica, a desolate frontier teeming with powerful sea monsters that made it a human forbidden zone rivaling even the Australian continent in danger.

As an instructor, Chen Ping needed to depart immediately to supervise the students participating in the expedition.

That left only Pan Xi and Carl behind to manage the training camp.

"So this is chalcedony?"

After making a quick phone call, someone delivered both the chalcedony and Purple Source Crystal to Han Jue's villa.

Standing in his room, Han Jue picked up a test tube containing viscous jade-colored liquid, studying it with fascination.

Following the provided instructions carefully, he swallowed the chalcedony in one gulp.

Suddenly, a cool sensation spread from his stomach throughout his entire body.

Hiss!

Han Jue shuddered involuntarily.

The chalcedony decomposed rapidly in his stomach, releasing strands of icy energy that permeated every corner of his body, from his bones to his flesh and blood, even reaching the surface of his skin. It felt as though cold air was emanating from every pore, wrapping him in a cocoon of frost.

Profound changes were occurring within. His cells constantly metamorphosed under the chalcedony's stimulation, dividing and growing as they replaced damaged or inefficient tissue with something far superior.

Soon, the icy sensation faded.

A large amount of impurities were expelled from his body, leaving Han Jue feeling remarkably lighter and cleaner than before.

But it wasn't over yet.

Han Jue retrieved the Purple Source Crystal.

Following the instructions once more, he crushed the purple crystal and cut a shallow wound across his palm with precise control.

The substance within the Purple Source Crystal flowed into his bloodstream through the wound, circulating continuously through his blood vessels until it penetrated deep into his bone marrow.

Nngh!

Han Jue gritted his teeth against the searing pain, as if his bone marrow was being torn out and regrown from nothing. The agony was excruciating, nearly overwhelming his considerable willpower.

The newly transformed blood began changing his constitution, perfectly complementing the chalcedony's effects rather than conflicting with them. The stinging pain in his bone marrow gradually subsided, replaced by a comfortable warmth like soaking in a natural hot spring.

Hah!

Exhaling a breath of stale air, Han Jue stood and immediately headed to the bathroom to shower off the expelled impurities.

Refreshed and clean, he approached the villa's punch force tester and unleashed a powerful strike!

"21,087 kg!"

Mid-level War God physique. He still had some distance before reaching high-level War God, but the progress was remarkable. The combination of chalcedony and Purple Source Crystal had roughly quadrupled his physical capabilities in a single session.

Han Jue also briefly tested his speed.

"163 m/s!"

Excellent.

Han Jue nodded with satisfaction.

He donned his 9-series combat uniform and retrieved the Everlasting Sword his uncle had gifted him. It wasn't that better equipment wasn't available, he simply didn't need it yet. The 9-series suit and his uncle's blade were more than sufficient for his current level.

Today was August 3rd. Technically, Han Jue should have reserved hunting for even-numbered days according to the training camp schedule, but who was going to stop him? With his strength dramatically improved, it was time to test his capabilities in real combat!

Meanwhile, in Jiangnan Base City, Zhuge Tao looked genuinely surprised.

"You said you're a Spirit Reader?" he asked, leaning forward with obvious interest.

"That's correct," Luo Feng confirmed, demonstrating his psychic abilities.

The books surrounding them suddenly levitated into the air, hovering in perfect formation, undeniable proof of Luo Feng's claim.

"Hmm..." Zhuge Tao stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Your current mental power is equivalent to that of a junior War God. Combined with your martial arts performance and age, you definitely have a chance of entering the elite training camp. Let me submit your application. There should still be spots available for China this year."

"Thank you, Supervisor!" Luo Feng said gratefully.

"Supervisor, I have another question," Luo Feng hesitated. "If I join the training camp, what about my family..."

"Don't worry about that at all," Zhuge Tao said with an immediate, reassuring smile.

"The elite training camp, do you know what the outside world calls it? The War God Preparatory Camp!" His voice filled with pride. "Who would be foolish enough to provoke a future War God? Not to mention that you're a Spirit Reader among War Gods, one of the rarest and most valuable types of warriors!"

He waved dismissively. "The Extreme Martial Arts School will be responsible for protecting your family. You don't need to worry about anything."

"Then I have no concerns," Luo Feng said with obvious relief.

"Good." Zhuge Tao nodded approvingly, then sighed. "Your talent is exceptional, and you'd rank among the very top in all of Jiangnan Base City. It's unfortunate that the Thunder Dojo produced Han Jue this year, and that Wang Heng somehow connected with the Han family. I don't know what kind of incredible luck allowed him to become a War God!"

He fixed Luo Feng with a meaningful look. "If you successfully enter the elite training camp, I hope you won't fall too far behind that Han Jue."

Han Jue?

Luo Feng thought to himself.

Unfortunate?

But I'm grateful for Han Jue's advice.

After Han Jue's cryptic words during the combat assessment, Luo Feng had finally come to his senses. Hiding one's abilities was ultimately useless. Only by revealing his talent early could he receive proper training and better protect his family!

At the very least, situations like what had happened to Luo Hongguo with Zhang Haobai wouldn't occur again.

At this point in time, Luo Feng had just passed the warrior assessment and hadn't yet offended Vulture Li Yao and his gang. His original purpose in hiding his Spirit Reader identity had been to avoid separating from his family too soon.

But that reasoning no longer held.

A genius from the Thunder Dojo?

Luo Feng secretly clenched his fists, determination burning in his chest.

I will definitely catch up with you, Han Jue!

Zhuge Tao noticed Luo Feng's expression and smiled faintly to himself.

Ambition, that's exactly what a young warrior should possess!

"Hm? News from headquarters?" Zhuge Tao's expression suddenly shifted to surprise as he checked an incoming message. "Inspector Yang will personally come to escort you to the global headquarters for your assessment."

His eyes widened slightly before refocusing on Luo Feng. "Get yourself prepared. This is a significant opportunity."

Two hundred kilometers from the training camp lay City 0999.

This was a deserted city, serving as the elite training camp of the Thunder Dojo's primary hunting ground, a testing area reserved exclusively for trainees.

Whoosh!

Amidst a herd of hundreds of monsters, Han Jue's figure flickered like a ghost, reaping lives with mechanical efficiency.

Most of the creatures in the herd were beast soldiers. Against Han Jue, they fell with single sword strikes, completely unable to impede his relentless advance through their ranks.

The only worthy opponent was the herd's alpha, a high-level Beast General known as a Rift-Fang Lizard.

Double burst of force!

Han Jue's eyes gleamed with focused intensity as he unleashed power equivalent to a high-level War God, meeting the Rift-Fang Lizard's attack head-on.

The Everlasting Sword swept in a devastating arc, cutting down all surrounding beast soldiers. Han Jue employed the second stage of the Everlasting Sword Technique, unleashing four consecutive bursts of hidden force. While the power couldn't stack multiplicatively, it didn't prevent him from attacking multiple targets simultaneously!

The Rift-Fang Lizard roared and curled its body defensively, attempting to use its heavily armored scales to resist Han Jue's assault.

Indeed, the toughness of the Rift-Fang Lizard's scales would challenge even a junior War God.

But that was precisely what made it an interesting opponent.

Six Eyes!

Han Jue's unique vision identified a weak point in the lizard's defenses. Without hesitation, he switched from slashing to a precise thrust. With four consecutive strikes in rapid succession, he drove the tip of his sword deep into the Rift-Fang Lizard's body!

The creature roared in agony, summoning the surrounding monsters to charge forward en masse, hoping to overwhelm Han Jue through sheer numbers while he was committed to the attack.

Clang! Clang!

The 9-series combat uniform absorbed the incoming strikes effortlessly. Han Jue gripped the Everlasting Sword firmly and thrust it once more into the Rift-Fang Lizard's body, twisting and stirring the blade viciously, attempting to shred its internal organs!

The 9-series suit was designed to protect against high-level lord-level monsters. Using it against high-level Beast Generals was absolute overkill, the creatures couldn't even scratch the surface.

The Rift-Fang Lizard lost all ability to resist. Han Jue's blade danced through flesh and bone, systematically dismembering the alpha predator.

After the Rift-Fang Lizard died on the spot, Han Jue's figure began weaving through the remaining herd. With even their strongest member slain, the other beast soldiers and Beast Generals stood no chance whatsoever.

When Han Jue finally stopped moving, corpses littered the ground behind him in a trail of devastation.

He stood amidst the carnage, breathing steadily, his expression contemplative.

"Comprehending Artistic Conception is truly difficult," Han Jue murmured to himself, sheathing the Everlasting Sword with a slight frown.
