Dahlia's POV

"Got it," I said, ending the call with a decisive click.

Lorena stood nearby, practically radiating fury, and I couldn't suppress a small smile. "Relax, I'm not throwing away a single cent on that bastard."

I pulled up the Silverlight Hotel booking system and reserved two presidential suites under Cobb's name. Each room ran fifteen thousand per night. Not outrageous by luxury standards, but enough to send a clear message.

Less than five minutes passed before my phone buzzed with Cobb's incoming call. His voice carried that familiar edge of irritation. "Dahlia, what the hell are you thinking? Two presidential suites? And you charged my card without asking?"

I kept my tone casual, almost bored. "The deluxe rooms were booked solid, so I upgraded you to presidential. Your card seemed like the logical choice."

"Besides, I've been swamped preparing for the charity auction. That ruby centerpiece is absolutely breathtaking, by the way."
