Dahlia's POV
Cobb fired back without missing a beat. "Dahlia, my feelings for you never changed. Ivana said she was sorry. Why can't you just drop this attitude?"
A harsh laugh escaped my throat. "You want honesty? Fine. I don't love you anymore. And keep that psychotic sister of yours the hell away from me. Who in their right mind would believe a word that comes out of a lunatic's mouth?"
I needed everyone in this room to understand that whatever lies Ivana decided to spin later, nobody should buy into her act.
Cobb would never reveal what really happened that night. What man could handle admitting his girlfriend ended up in another man's bed because of his own screwup? If he even considered exposing the truth, the scandal would destroy him completely.
He abandoned his drunk girlfriend in the middle of the night to babysit his sister, and he's been covering it up ever since.
They never expected me to stay this composed under their manipulation.
