Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: One Person Eats, the Whole Family Starves

After a while, she grew tired of the scenery. After all, outside the window was just a desert; besides piles of rocks or occasional vegetation, there really wasn't much worth admiring.

Bored, Kanna involuntarily rubbed her stomach. In fact, as a "Young Dragon," one meal could actually sustain her for a long time.

However, she had discovered earlier that the food she ate not only served as her physical energy but also allowed her to convert the food's energy into "electricity" within her body.

And in these past ten-odd days of eating and drinking heavily, her internal "electricity" had only charged up to about ten percent.

As someone with OCD and a low-firepower syndrome, this deficit made her very uneasy, so after each meal, she converted most of the energy into electricity, leaving only a small portion for her body's operation.

This was why she would get hungry and eat large amounts every day.

Noticing Kanna's movement, Outcast spoke. The team found a secluded and relatively safe place to stop the car. Several Operators from the team skillfully set up stoves and began preparing the day's food.

After all, they had been delayed quite a bit last night because of Kanna. To return on time, they would have to compress their already limited free time, so the team decided to prepare all of the day's food in the morning. Afterwards, they would take turns driving, trying to reach their original destination without stopping.

However, their plan quickly fell apart, naturally because of Kanna.

When the Operators started cooking, she squatted beside the large pot, her eyes shining with excitement.

As soon as the food was ready, she looked at the cooking Operator with teary eyes.

The Operator couldn't bear it and served her a little, but when he turned back, he saw a clean plate extended in front of him, along with a pitiful, pleading look behind it.

After this happened repeatedly, everyone noticed Kanna's unusual behavior. At this point, Misery walked over and took the place of the cooking Operator.

He looked at Kanna curiously; he wanted to see just how much this little one could eat.

Then, amidst the other Operators' expressions, which ranged from shock to numbness and finally a bewildered "Who am I?", Kanna let out a satisfied burp and happily collapsed into Outcast's arms.

"Hmph hmph! Kanna is full, Kanna wants to sleep."

Looking at the little one in his arms, whose belly hadn't distended at all and whose weight remained the same as before, Outcast couldn't help but show a wry smile. This little fellow couldn't possibly be fed by an ordinary family, could she? It should be said that if a family didn't own several mines, even the cheapest, most common black bread would be enough to bankrupt them.

You see, this was food prepared for two teams, fifteen people, for an entire day. Yet, everyone else didn't even get a sip of soup before it all went into Kanna's mouth.

But what was even more terrifying was that after eating so much, her belly still showed no change, making one wonder if Kanna's mouth was connected to another world.

"Alright, I'll take two people to find some prey nearby! The rest of you continue to rest here, but necessary vigilance must be maintained."

Misery looked at the large pot, which now only had a thin layer of soup left at the bottom, and reluctantly decided to continue resting.

If he could do it again, he would never be curious about this Wyvern's appetite.

"Eats a lot" couldn't even describe it; it was completely a stomach connected to a mysterious realm. He could only express his admiration for this, wondering what kind of family could raise such a glutton. Perhaps her family simply couldn't afford her anymore, which was why they abandoned this little one in the wild.
