Song Jie's Radiance burst out again and again, and before long, the ground was soaked in Nie Dong's blood.
At this point, Nie Dong was so weak he couldn't even make a sound. His body lay prostrate on the ground, trembling.
When he looked up at Song Jie, what he saw was no longer a man—
it was a demon.
"Take him back," Song Jie said calmly.
As soon as he finished speaking, Song Jie turned and left the room first.
Li Rui glanced at the two bloodline members who had just arrived. "Carry him," she ordered coldly.
The two subordinates looked in Nie Dong's direction and couldn't help but gasp.
"If we'd known this would happen, we'd never have gone along with him…" one muttered.
They shook their heads helplessly, then carried the half-dead Nie Dong back to the Northern Club.
Song Jie and Li Rui soon arrived at Liu Xian and Liu Ru's private room.
The two sisters had recovered somewhat, but their expressions were still filled with disbelief. They couldn't accept the reality that they had become bloodline members.
Moments later, the door opened.
Nie Dong—unrecognizable, battered, and drenched in blood—was carried in.
"I've brought him back to you," Song Jie said evenly. "You decide what to do with him."
Liu Xian and Liu Ru both turned toward Nie Dong.
This was the man who had turned them into what they were now—how could they not hate him?
But looking at his current state, barely clinging to life, their anger slowly faded.
What was the point of taking revenge on a dying man?
"I'll leave these two to you for now," Song Jie said to Li Rui. "Help them adjust."
He then gestured for the two men to take Nie Dong away.
Outside the private room, Song Jie instructed them, "I want the two blood fangs from his mouth. As for the rest of the body—dispose of it."
"Understood!"
The two nodded hurriedly.
They didn't understand why Li Rui obeyed this young man so unquestioningly, but they didn't dare question him either.
Before long, Song Jie held two Blood Fangs worth more than twenty million!
He returned to the private room just as Li Rui finished speaking with the sisters.
"Song Jie, perfect timing," Li Rui said.
"What's wrong?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"They still have one last ritual to complete."
"What ritual?"
"Blood."
Song Jie immediately understood—Nie Dong hadn't had the chance to complete the final step of their conversion.
"These two will stay with me," Li Rui said. "If you need them for anything, you can come to me. They'll be my responsibility now."
That arrangement worked perfectly. It gave Liu Xian and Liu Ru a protector while allowing Li Rui to cultivate her own followers.
Song Jie nodded. "Fine by me."
"Do you have any blood left?" Li Rui asked, her tone softening slightly. "The blood you gave me last time is running low—it's not enough for them to finish the final ritual."
The final ritual—recognizing a master—was something Li Rui had already explained to the sisters.
And she hoped they would choose Song Jie. His blood was far purer and more powerful than others'; it would give them a much stronger start as bloodline members.
"In that case," Song Jie said, smiling faintly, "let's begin."
His body shimmered as he entered his Demonified state.
Liu Xian and Liu Ru both gasped in shock and awe.
They were ordinary women—how could they not be startled by such a transformation?
"Do you want to bite my neck," Song Jie asked with a teasing grin, "or should I just pour it for you?"
At that, he looked like a waiter politely offering a menu.
Liu Ru looked confused, but Liu Xian and Li Rui instantly blushed.
"J-Just pour it…" Liu Xian said shyly.
Song Jie chuckled. He sliced his palm open and conjured a glass cup out of thin air.
Scarlet blood dripped into the cup, filling it halfway.
The intoxicating scent spread through the room. Liu Xian and Liu Ru suddenly felt an overwhelming craving, their eyes glued to the cup like predators eyeing a feast.
"Will this be enough?" Song Jie asked Li Rui.
"Enough," she replied quickly.
Li Rui divided the blood between the two cups and handed them over.
"If you're not used to it, we can step outside," she offered.
"No need," Liu Xian said firmly.
She lifted the cup and drank it all in one go. At this point, what was there to hesitate about?
Seeing her sister drink, Liu Ru followed suit, finishing her share as well.
To her surprise, the taste wasn't revolting at all—it was almost… delicious.
Song Jie turned to Li Rui, lightly tapping the side of his neck with a teasing smile. "Want a sip too?"
Li Rui's face instantly flushed bright red.
With so many people around, even if she wanted to, she wouldn't dare.
She realized he was doing it on purpose—and it made her heart race even faster.
So annoying!
Moments later, Liu Xian and Liu Ru could both feel power stirring within them.
Li Rui said calmly, "After drinking Song Jie's blood, you've officially become true bloodline members. You just don't know how to use your strength yet. I'll teach you."
"Thank you!" the sisters said in unison.
Li Rui continued, "From now on, you'll listen only to me and Song Jie. No one else."
They both nodded obediently.
"Let's exchange contact info," Song Jie said casually. "If you ever run out of blood to drink, you can contact me."
At that moment, he felt a bit like a supplier—but having two more allies was definitely a good deal.
To build strength, one always needed capable helpers.
Song Jie left the rest to Li Rui and went home to sleep soundly.
The next morning.
After waking up, Song Jie visited the Qingtian Hunter Agency and obtained a letter of introduction from Old Bao.
With it, he headed straight to the Magic Association, planning to ask Huo Tuo to craft a magic tool for him.
Soon, a man led him to a lounge to wait.
"What kind of tool do you want forged? Let me take a look," Li Junnan asked.
"What level can you forge?" Song Jie replied.
"Intermediate-level is no problem!"
"You're not worthy," Song Jie said flatly.
Li Junnan froze, then his face twisted in anger.
"Ha! And what kind of trash could you possibly bring that's beyond me?" he snapped.
Song Jie chuckled. "If I bring something you can't forge, will you call me 'Dad'?"
Li Junnan bit his lip, seriously considering it. After a long pause, he decided to take the gamble.
"Fine! But you have to bring out materials that I can't forge!" he said firmly.
Song Jie smiled faintly, completely unconcerned.
Just then, another figure appeared—Huo Tuo himself.
"Master!" Li Junnan said respectfully.
Huo Tuo nodded, then looked at Song Jie. "Since you've made a bet with my disciple, young man, don't hold back. Show us what you've got."
Without another word, Song Jie took out a large black scale—it gleamed faintly, exuding a mysterious aura.
"Take a look."
Li Junnan frowned skeptically, taking the scale to inspect it. After a moment, he burst into laughter.
"What kind of garbage material is this? And you dare to bet with me?!"
