This was an island covered with virgin forests. Only a few civilians lived on the outskirts, and because of its secluded location, the people there were almost completely isolated from the outside world.
According to intelligence obtained by the Revolutionary Army, there was a high possibility of large ruins on this island, which was why it was named the Island of Ruins.
The reason Nico Robin, the archaeologist of the Straw Hat Pirates, ventured along the Road of Ruins without hesitation was partly her interest in archaeology—but more importantly, she suspected a connection between this island and O'Hara.
O'Hara, the country of scholars ruthlessly wiped out by the Demon Slayer Order, was also Robin's hometown.
After Victor and the others arrived on the Island of Ruins, the three soldiers of the Revolutionary Army remained with them. They were here as representatives and could act as guides to some extent.
Although Victor hadn't noticed anything suspicious about the three soldiers, he still instructed Enel to establish an electromagnetic field and use the mind network to closely monitor them.
If anything went wrong, it would be smashed to pieces by thunder.
At the same time, Victor also used the abilities of the Thunder Fruit and his Observation Haki to create his own magnetic field, keeping an eye on the surroundings.

"Hello! Don't worry, we are the Revolutionary Army and won't harm civilians!" a revolutionary soldier said politely.
"I don't know what Revolutionary Army you belong to, but if you want to attack our island… then kill me first!"
The thin old woman looked fierce, holding a wooden stick as if she were ready to strike.
"Mother-in-law, you misunderstand. I'm an archaeologist. I'm only here for archaeological research and will leave soon!"
Nico Robin, the Devil's Daughter, suddenly became very patient in front of the "evil" old woman. Seeing her, Robin felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity.
"Archaeologist?"
The old woman appeared startled but quickly raised her stick again. "I don't know what an archaeologist is, but don't even think about destroying our village!"
"Old woman, we didn't say we were going to attack. Don't worry, we have no ill intentions. We just want to pass through."
Victor took over the conversation. His Observation Haki was constantly active, capturing every detail.
This old woman clearly knew about archaeologists and seemed afraid of them approaching the village, as if fearing some secret would be exposed.
Victor discreetly hid behind Enel and investigated. With his speed, no one noticed him except Enel.
He inspected several buildings, all inhabited by women and children. Books were hidden throughout, many well-concealed.
This showed that the islanders did indeed have secrets and were deeply afraid of the outside world discovering them.
The thin old woman stared at Victor for a moment and asked suspiciously, "Are you also an archaeologist?"
"Uh… no," Victor shook his head. Although he claimed advanced archaeological knowledge to Robin, she clearly didn't believe him. Claiming to be an archaeologist here might have been seen as shameless.
"There are only forests and wild beasts on our island. Forget it, just go ahead and get eaten by wild beasts!"
With a fierce glare, the old woman turned and walked back toward the village with her stick.
Robin looked at her deeply, sensing something familiar, then followed Victor and the others into the primeval forest.

Just as Robin stepped forward, a gunshot rang out from behind.

Victor and Enel, already protected by the electromagnetic field, reacted immediately. Victor knew a mere bullet couldn't hurt Robin.
But Enel didn't hesitate. He waved his hand, sending a galloping thunderbird toward the trembling old woman, who still held the smoking pistol.
"Stop! Enel!" Victor shouted, but it was too late. The 30-million-volt thunderbird surged forward.
As Victor expected, the bullet hadn't harmed Robin. Her anxious expression showed she didn't want the old woman to die from Enel's attack.
Victor felt the same way.
He and Robin acted together to rescue the old woman.
Six-Wheeled Flower Transfer!
Snow-white arms sprouted from the old woman's body, helping her dodge the thunder.
When the thunder was almost unavoidable, Robin's intervention came just a step too late. The thunder was about to strike her, which would have charred half of her body.
A flicker of pity passed across Robin's eyes. Logically, she shouldn't have saved someone who tried to kill her—but she felt an inexplicable familiarity. Memories of O'Hara's elderly citizens flashed in her mind.
Boom!!!
Thunder roared.
Robin closed her eyes, not wanting to witness the potential disaster.
But her six-wheeled flowers were still in bloom, and the old woman… remained unharmed.
Robin slowly opened her eyes. The old woman had been carried several meters away by her six-wheeled flowers, safe and intact.
In the original spot stood a tall figure: Victor, who had destroyed the thunderbird with a single palm.
"Thanks!"
Robin smiled, her body trembling.
Victor simply nodded and smiled in response.
"Hey, Captain! That old woman attacked us—shouldn't we kill her?"
Enel yawned. He didn't understand why Victor had saved her. He still remembered Victor's rule: anyone who attacked them was an enemy and must be eliminated.
"Analyze each case individually. Practice is the true test of everything. Enel, learn from this. This is Robin's problem, and she will handle it herself."
Victor glanced at Enel and then at Cidao, who shrugged and continued indulging in his own boredom.
