Chapter 54 - Countless Applicants

The interviews were still going on.

The group after the one with the tall norwegian woman entered.

This time two out of five passed.

The first one was a man in his mid twenties. He was level 7 and had no skills.

The second was another man, but in his late twenties. He was level 9 and had the F-rank spear mastery skill.

The group after that had disappointingly not a single one that passed. No one in that group was the least bit honest.

At least after that group came a group with 3 that passed.

The first one was a woman in her early twenties. She was level 6 with no skills.

The second one was a man in his early thirties. He was level 10 and had the Archer class, which made Lucas happy. He only had the D-rank archery skills, but he didn't mind since archers were important to have.

The third person to pass was a man in his early twenties. He was level 9 and had the F-rank sword mastery skill.

The next group had only one that passed.

It was a man in his late thirties. He was level 11 and had the Spear Master class. His spear mastery was C-rank, which was above average.

'Most awakened really are in their twenties with also a lot being in their thirties.'

Lucas wondered how young the youngest awakened was.

'Probably 16-18.'

While lost in his thoughts and started to get bored, Lucas saw the new group.

He observed everyone for a while and was surprised.

All five were worthy to enter the Helios guild.

The first was a man in his late twenties. He was level 10 and had the Tank class. He also had a C-rank shield mastery.

The second was a man in his early forties. He was level 10 and had the Axe Master class. He had a D-rank mastery.

The third was a woman in her late twenties. She was level 10 and had the mage class. She had C-rank magic knowledge.

The fourth was a man in his mid twenties. He was level 11 and had the Assassin class. He had C-rank dagger mastery and D-rank camouflage.

The fifth and last person was a woman in her early twenties. She was level 9 and had the F-rank sword mastery skill.

Lucas was flabbergasted.

Not only did all five pass, four of them had a class and one was even a mage!

There was also an axe master which didn't show up today before him.

'This is the best batch so far.'

Lucas and Francesco were very happy.

The group after them had two who passed.

The first was a man in his mid twenties. He was level 10 and had the Sword Master class. His sword mastery was D-rank though.

The second person was a man in his early twenties. He was level 8 with no skills.

So far 41 people passed of who knows how many applicants.

In the next 5 groups only 6 people passed in total.

A woman in her mid twenties. She was level 7 with no skills.

A man in his late twenties. He was level 10 with the Mace Master class and D-rank mastery.

A man in his early twenties. He was level 11 and had the Spear Master class with D-rank mastery.

A man in his early thirties. He was level 9 with the F-rank shield mastery skill.

A woman in her early thirties. She was level 10 with the Assassin class and D-rank dagger mastery plus E-rank camouflage.

And lastly a man in his mid thirties. He was level 8 with the F-rank spear mastery skill.

The last five groups were very disappointing and it was finally time for a lunch break.

Lucas and Francesco left for their offices and have lunch there.

As they walked out, a lot of the awakened still waiting outside were looking at Lucas with admiration.

He had both an elegant and intimidating aura.

***

Lucas was currently eating his lunch in his office with Grishna and Elara.

Before eating, Lucas had sent Krasbert out to go hunt inside one of their E-rank gates.

It had been a while since he hunted for experience points.

Albert and William were busy with their respective crafts.

And Ghost was currently on a longer mission to scout all the cities in the canton to check their situations and also hunt some monsters to gain experience.

Lucas started to notice that he was itching to fight and kill monsters and grow stronger.

All this sitting around was uncomfortable for him.

But recruiting the right people would be impossible without Lucas.

'Haa. How annoying and boring.'

Elara spoke.

"Are you okay master?"

Lucas looked at her and said.

"I'm bored to death. I hope I can find someone really strong or special. It has also been forever since I saw someone with a unique ability and I have never seen someone with a talent."

Elara felt bad for him.

"I am sorry master. No one is worthy for you, but I'm sure you will find someone useful at least."

Lucas smiled at her and kissed her.

Grishna decided to speak as well after swallowing her food.

"Do you want us to make you feel better, master?"

Lucas chuckled.

"Not right now, but thank you."

Grishna frowned at first but then nodded.

"Okay master. But just know that I will do anything for you! I love you."

Grishna blushed when she said those last words. She still wasn't used to it.

Lucas answered.

"I know Grishna. I love you too."

He leaned in and kissed her passionately.

He then did the same with Elara.

Lucas then started thinking about his future plans.

'I still need 11 avatar points for the B-rank avatar summon.'

'After that I plan to summon a few lower ranked ones to increase my numbers.'

'I plan to have a whole army one day to rule over.'

'Once I find my brother, I can either live happily with him or at least get some closure, or revenge if necessary.'
