Chapter 33 - 33

Gat, now!"

Just as the Olympus Mons, having just fired its cannons, was about to shift its massive hull, another large expanse of electric arcs appeared, spreading from the sky. Then, the Retribution, only two-thirds the size of the Olympus Mons, almost scraped against the right side of the Olympus Mons.

"Sir, our power is failing, we can't fire!" Looking at the Retribution so close, Salen Kotch was so anxious he almost slammed the table. However, the energy field generated by the warship exiting superluminal speed had completely crippled all systems on the Olympus Mons. For at least five minutes, the Olympus Mons could only float in the sky like an island.

"Little Sa!" Reyes, frantic on the ground, jumped onto the transport plane before its rear hatch was fully open. Only then did he remember that Rains had just asked him to watch Fisher.

"It's fine, I'm not running, you go do your thing!" Fisher found a relatively clean rock to sit on, then pulled out a box of compressed biscuits from a small pouch on his waist. "Um, do you have any water?"

Reyes, not knowing what to say, took the water bottle from Marine Sergeant Kashima and tossed it to Fisher, then waved his hand for the pilot to take off. They had to complete the boarding operation within the five minutes that the Olympus Mons was immobile.

And Fisher, just as he said, leisurely sat in place and began to eat and drink.

While the battle in the sky was incredibly lively, two Raven transport planes also flew over, and then UNSA's supreme commander, Admiral Rains, came down carrying a large bag of military rations.

"Your Martian compressed biscuits taste like shit, try Earth's! Mr. Fisher!" Rains waved the Raven away and walked up to Fisher, took a piece of the dry rations from Fisher's hand, put it in his mouth, chewed twice, and then spat it out.

"Then I won't be polite!" Fisher didn't refuse, tearing open the military ration package, then picked up the various flavored energy bars inside and crunched on them.

"So, who exactly are you?" Admiral Rains carefully scrutinized Fisher for a few moments. He found that the current Fisher was like a completely different person from the Fisher in the images left from his studies on Earth. If it weren't for various detection methods confirming that there was no difference between the two Fishers, he would have suspected that someone had replaced him.

"Me? Just a human, Admiral Rains. How about we make a deal?"

"What deal?"

"I have the deployment maps, patrol routes, and even the combat reserve warehouses of the Martian home fleet. I want all the technology for artificial gravity systems and warp drives!"

"What's in it for you?" Rains' first thought was that this guy was crazy, but then, considering the possibility of completely overturning the entire war, he patiently continued the conversation.

"That's none of your business. Just tell me if you agree or not. Of course, you can also lock me up or shoot me, but doing so will only prolong the tug-of-war between Mars and Earth for several years, even decades!" Fisher revealed a confident smile.

Fisher wasn't deliberately trying to scare Rains. In the original plot, after Reyes captured the Olympus Mons, he adopted Salen Kotch's tactics, jumping directly into the face of the Martian home fleet. Only after paying the huge price of the Olympus Mons crashing, the Retribution crashing, and only four survivors from the entire fleet, did he destroy Mars' orbital shipyard. All the warships accumulated by both sides over decades were gone. Fisher could guess the subsequent plot with his toes: nothing more than a twenty-year truce to lick wounds, rebuild strength, and then continue the war.

"Someone, take him away!" Rains pondered for a few seconds, then suddenly shouted, and the UNSA soldiers on alert nearby cooperatively put on fierce expressions.

But to Rains' disappointment, even with a gun barrel practically poking his nose, Fisher remained calm and unperturbed.

"Alright, you can go!" Rains sighed helplessly. He was truly too eager for victory. The dramatic ups and downs of the past few days had even overwhelmed this seasoned veteran, especially the recent bombardment by the Olympus Mons. If not for Fisher's warning, thousands of lives at UNSA headquarters would likely have become lost souls.

"I can't give you everything you want, at least not the warp drive!" Rains shook his head like a rattle.

"Then let's change it. Robots are fine too. I remember you guys developed some tactical enhancement robots, right? Those would work!" When it came to intelligent robots, Fisher was truly drooling. Not to mention Ethan, just the endless robot army from Mars made Fisher's mouth water. After all, compared to human lives, robots were truly excellent substitutes.

"That won't work either. We've spent billions of funds on that project..."

"Then do you still want to deal with Mars?"

Rains' forehead veins bulged, and just then, Reyes sent him a communication.

"General, we've entered the Olympus Mons and are engaging the enemy!"

"Good, I'll continue to send reinforcements, Reyes, you must capture that warship for me!" Rains hung up the communication, hesitated for a few seconds, then still chose to agree to Fisher's request.

"Okay, find me a room. I'll give you the intelligence once I get the data!"

"Alright!" Rains was even happier to hear this. Find a room and lock you in, I don't believe you can run away. If you're capable, just disappear into thin air!

Rains' thoughts didn't escape Fisher, but the latter didn't mind. He would leave after he got the data, so even if Rains locked him in prison, it would be useless.

After reaching an agreement, Rains immediately ordered his subordinates to transport the data Fisher needed. That's right, transport. Rains didn't choose to give Fisher electronic data, but instead had his subordinates bring over carts of blueprints and data. Among them, the blueprints for the artificial gravity system alone, which Fisher needed, filled half a room, not to mention other blueprints. But Fisher didn't mind, he accepted every paper blueprint that was delivered. He wasn't an expert in this area, but that didn't mean he didn't have experts under him. At that time, he would just need to hand these materials over to those scientists full of wild ideas.

After acquiring the large pile of things he needed, Fisher readily sent out the intelligence regarding the Martian home fleet. After verification, Rains found that the other party hadn't lied to him, so he relaxed his surveillance on Fisher. As a result, while he was waiting in the conference room for Reyes' battle report on the attack on Mars, Fisher, his people, and the blueprints vanished completely. Even the surveillance only captured a bizarre recording where the person was there one second and gone the next.

"Who exactly is this guy?"

Second update, time to sleep. Also, to answer some questions about this text, I am a very lazy person and like to solve one problem at a time. This book will address some historical issues left over from the previous book, and the historical issues of this book will be left for the next book. This means I'm too lazy to change the title, so if you find it disgusting, you can vomit, curse, and then leave. After all, I'm not RMB, I can't please everyone. Also, actually, the short message has been here for almost two weeks, and I've talked to my editor, Blu-ray. Because I have too many things to do after graduation, signing the contract and so on will have to be postponed. The editor also said it's fine, so those who want to invest can invest. After all, I'm just a struggling writer, and this is all I can contribute to you. Alright, that's all. Good night, everyone.
