In the late afternoon, after working hours, Liana quickly tidied her desk. She felt nervous about having to attend Desy socialite gathering.
Suddenly, David stood in front of her desk.
"Come on, I'll drive you home," David offered to Liana.
"I can go home by myself, Sir. Besides, I have an errand before heading home," Liana explained.
"What errand?" David asked, confused.
"You don't need to know. Besides, how can a son not know about his mother event?" Liana said, teasing David.
"What event, Liana?" David asked, genuinely curious.
"Sir, your mother just invited me to join her socialite gathering. As a good employee, I'm obliged to attend," Liana stated.
"Socialite gathering? Are you sure you want to go there?" David stressed, a little worried.
"Yes. Why?" Liana asked.
"Oh, nothing, it's up to you. But I just want to tell you not to feel inferior there. Because all the ladies there are very fashionable," David explained.
