Chapter 1 - Chapter 1, "The Bridge of Both Tribes"

His eyes opened. Laying flat in the formation of a snow angel, his mind scattered back to ever since he was young. Ever since he was young, all he could remember being called was Satsu. A Northern Water Tribe name. But all he had truly known was the southern's snow plains. To him, it didn't feel like it was his true name, but when he searched for memories...he was shut down.

A sudden knock was heard on the door of the igloo that he resided in, and they didn't even wait for him to get out of bed. The icy winds flew through the door as it was opened by the beautiful but hostile Katara. "Where have you been all morning! We've been waiting for you!"

The words didn't even reach his face, his gaze fully focused into the beauty of Katara. Though, she wouldn't notice his perverted stare as she stormed out of the door..."HURRY UP!". Slamming the door.

Satsu groaned as he woke from his dream, his eyes sores as he acted like he was just welcomed into this world. He thought to himself...'What did she want from me...?' as he got out of the covers, he remembered that he decided to get a little adventurous. He was in his black underwear, with a massive boner.

He slid down the covers of his bed, realizing that last night he wished to get a little adventurous by sleeping nearly naked just in a pair of black underwear. His eyes slowly followed like the cover, and then his jaw dropped down as he saw his massive boner poking out as if it was about to rip the underwear.

His legs flung out of his beds, as he picked up his navy blue pants that were carefully threaded by Katara. Her duties spread along to both of them, where Satsu was extremely appreciative of this service. Then, he put on a black shirt that was meant to symbolize his heritage to the Northern Water Tribe.

Around the wolf pelt belt that he placed, he put a indigo blue sash between the loops that Katara had specially made for him. The belt also held a fabric that was known as a Kama to him, where the fabric from the back of the belt lead to the sides of the thigh. It had a white outline, with a symbol detaching off it and the main base Southern Water Tribe blue. The jacket was put on, a white line with buttons in the middle and wrapping around the hood, with a dark blue colour and wolf fur for shoulder pads.

Finally, he placed brown boots upon his feet that also had wolf fur at the top of them, this was the outfit that he wore. He stepped out of his igloo, and then his feet rapidly began moving upwards as he tried to move backwards making him slip. A small "Ow..." was heard from him, as he stepped up to grab his battle-axe.

An ornamental gift from his father, the golden and white blade was shaped in a crescent-moon with a spear protrusion at the top and then at the left of the blade was another protrusion. His handle featured a semi-circle guard with several small spikes around it. Grabbing it, he dragged the blade as he walked to the boat with Sokka and Katara already waiting. This was the last boat left by the men of the tribe in case if anything was ever to happen to them.

"Where have you been...- doofus!" Sokka yelled out in his unusually funny way as Katara steamed off into the boat.

"Don't worry, there will still be fish in the sea." Satsu said as he looked out to the endless seas. He placed one foot onto the boat and then lifted up, as he held his axe, he made his way to the front of the boat pointing his axe out. Pretending he was a captain of the ship, albeit he believed so.

"I can make up my lateness by water-bending us there with Katara aswell!"

"I don't care about your magic water stuff!" Sokka exclaimed towards Satsu.

Satsu went ahead and placed his axe down on the deck of the ship as he began using both of his hands in a spiral motion to release them out of the stationary position and then, released them forwards.

He looked back to Katara, her face lit up...her hands trembled and held close to her chest as she watched him.

"It's okay for you to bend the water Katara. You are the southern's only hope after all."

Katara looked towards him, moving her head to the side as her cheeks blushed a light sakura pink.

A loud groan from Sokka was heard, evidently tired of all this chat.

She began slightly moving her hands to push and pull the water in the direction that they wished to go, and it helped them reach through the waters. They patrolled through the waters together, and then all of a sudden a loud roar was heard, all-together their heads turned and simultaneously dropped their jaws together.

An all-white, gleaming polar bear stared menacingly at them. His teeth clenched together, he gazed at them as they approached near the iceberg. Satsu placed his foot in front of the other as he looked eagerly towards the polar-bear. His axe now faced the polar bear, with Sokka stepping up behind him.

"Count on a woman to get us here, am I right Satsu?"

Satsu didn't respond as he leapt off the boat, his blade gleaming in the sunlight as he headed first into battle to attack the polar bear.

Katara would raise the water behind her and then hit him with it, sending Sokka onto the iceberg.

"OUCH!!! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?" Sokka shouted out in pain.

"That's what you get for messing with a woman." Katara said in a sarcastic tone towards Sokka, remarking at his blatant sexism.

"IMBUED!" Satsu yelled out, the water gathering around the blade, as he leapt through the air the blade would meet with the fur of the polar bear. It dug deep into the skin and caused a gash that rapidly let out blood staining the fur. But if you thought this was a normal polar bear, you guess wrong. This was an Emperor Polar Bear, a taller version, and the weight seemed like it didn't hold him down as much.

The polar bear stepped to the side, as he was cut, the boy was still flying through the air due to his momentum and that was the price that he would pay for his eagerness. The paws stretched out far back, and released towards Satsu as the paws met together creating a slam. His blade dropped out of his hands, and as he fell from the Polar Bear's grip, he was met with another punch that sent him back into the ocean past the boat.

Sokka and Katara both looked back, gasping as they saw one of the strongest that they knew easily hurt by the Polar Bear.

Sokka realized something that the determined Satsu didn't stop to think about, that this was no polar bear..."This is an Emperor Polar Bear...Katara, spoken of myth, we have to save him.

Underneath the boat, in the deep darkness of the wide sea, his large midnight black hair went up into the air. Placing his hands together, one hand was upwards in a praying symbol and the other in a fist formation. His eyes glowed a strange cyan blue colour. His memory surrounded him, making him fall into a sudden world of endless seas...he stopped. In front of him was the previous Avatar. Avatar Aang, the Avatar of Tragedy whose spirit died out after the long time he spent in the iceberg where nobody was able to find him.

"Avatar Satsu. You are not of this world..-

His hand gestures out as he steps to the side, revealing the long line of Avatars consisting of Wan, Szeto, Yangchen, Kuruk, Kyoshi, Roku and finally himself Aang.

- But you were chosen for a reason. "

His memory fades, the world collapses as he is awoken with Sokka and Katara around him. "...Ugh-eugh...what happened?"

Katara spoke, "You were knocked out by the Polar Bear!"

"A giant one. The Emperor Polar Bear. Only spoken about in myths." Sokka spoke in a mystical tone.

Satsu sighed, trying to process all this information at once, but it seemed that he needed to have some rest in order to process this. The thing that was of the upmost importance right now was protecting Sokka...and most importantly Katara. He formed a small water hand that was more like a spike, that reached out to grab the Axe. It was passed through the water, finally reaching him, as he heard another roar. "I've got this. I won't lose to him again, promise."

Sokka abruptly spoke, interrupting him... "We're not leaving you behind, you're our friend."

Together, they managed to get back upon the iceberg, where they all gathered together to release their attacks. Satsu imbued the water around his blade, and then placed the giant axe on the back of his shoulder, the blade followed through the air as it acted like it didn't even attack. Then blood suddenly spewed out of the giant chest.

His breath spoke through the icy winds, as he huffed and puffed..."Ice-Breaker!"

Sokka's boomerang would also fly through the air, spinning towards the head of the Polar Bear where it hit perfectly, stunning the bear. "Ye-ay..eah....uhhh...BRAIN-BREAKER!" He exclaimed.

Katara then brought up the tides of the sea and used all the strength that she could, flooding the feet and knocking over the polar bear. But this move brought her to her knees as she was instantly knocked out. It absorbed all of her energy.

Satsu faced Sokka...."She didn't have to do all of that. We had that guy."

"Yeah. Yeah I know. She's just always trying to prove herself."

They managed to pick up the Polar Bear into the boat and put Katara into the ship, where the food was able to feed the family for the whole week or maybe less maybe longer. But this guaranteed a large feast.

As they began sailing back towards the village, he placed his axe upon the boat as he began trying to meditate to reach Avatar Aang. It seemed that he wasn't able to do this though, after so many different tries he was going to give up and then suddenly he saw something. All it was a box. A black blox with a white outline, the text read 'SYSTEM ANNOUNCEMENT: WELCOME PLAYER TO THE WORLD OF AVATAR'

'YOUR FIRST GOAL IS TO REACH KYOSHI ISLAND, THE ISLAND OF THE PREVIOUS EARTH AVATAR.'

His mouth gasped as he fell back, this truly confirmed his doubts, he WAS the Avatar after-all. But maybe not the avatar of this world.

"Sokka and Katara! I'M THE AVATAR!" He screamed as loud as he could, where they both looked back at him confused. Their eye bags after the battle appearing out larger. With their droopy eyes, they shushed it off, but he knew deep down that he was the Avatar. And he was going to prove it.
