Chapter 4 - Chapter Four

Chapter four

Had I just heard him right? What did he mean by that? "I–I don't understand, what do you mean by me going to the CEO's villa is the first part of the plan?"

Daniel was grabbing some dishes from the cabinets but he heard me and replied, "Claire, there is no backing out now."

"I did not say that I wanted to back out, I just want to know what you mean by that…"

He closed the cabinet and placed the plates and glasses down. He gave me his full attention and sighed. "The first part of the plan is getting you introduced into Damion's life. He's a powerful man, as we all know. You're a stranger to him and there will be no way that you will just be able to waltz into his house. Unless…"

"Unless what?" I was intrigued, I really wanted to know where he was going with all of this.

"Damion has a weakness—hot blondes," Daniel explained, causing my face to heat up. "He also loves sex. He's the city's playboy, and who could blame him? He has everything and the girls keep throwing themselves at him."

"Daniel, I'm still confused." I shook my head slowly.

"The CEO is into hiring girls. He does this almost every night. But not just any girl, he hires models, actresses; girls on top of the social ladder. I can help you take the role of a model and set you up with him tonight."

I did not really like where this was going. But I wanted to know more though. "I'm not saying that I'm going to do that, right? But let's just say that I do, then what's next? Do I kill him?"

"Claire, Claire, Claire," Daniel said, chuckling to himself as he turned his attention from me, grabbing the dishes and proceeding to take them to the dining area. "Help me with the food, please," He called after me.

I ran my hand through my hair and did as he asked. "I'm being serious, Daniel. Do I kill him?"

The guy stopped his movements and locked eyes with me. "I'm not going to let you do that, dear. I need you to know for yourself that Damion was responsible for the death of your boyfriend. Then afterward, you can kill him." He shrugged. "But you should at least make him suffer first." He chuckled.

"So let me get this straight, what you're telling me is that I need to build some kind of relationship with the CEO and then find out the truth about what really happened to my boyfriend for myself before taking revenge?"

"Yes," He replied without missing a beat. "Trust me, it would be way better that way. Right now, you're just being led by my word. You believe what I said about him being the one to kill your boyfriend, but I want you to know the truth for yourself. So yes, you are going to be a little spy in his life. Just like how daddy was a spy." He winked.

I felt a surge of annoyance take over me. "Don't talk about my father again," I said to him in a clipped tone.

He sat at the table and lifted his hands in feigned surrender. "Sorry, sorry. Can we eat now though?" He placed them down.

I stared at him for a few seconds and then sighed, letting it go. "Sure," I replied, sitting down too. I should have been at work right now, but was that more important than getting justice for the only man I had loved in my life?

And besides, Daniel obviously had an agenda and wanted the CEO taken care of too, so I had a feeling that he was going to make sure that I had all I needed until that was done.

After a few minutes of us eating without anyone talking, I finally broke the silence. "Do I have to have sex with him?" I lifted my eyes and locked them with his.

He smirked. "If you want," He scoffed playfully. "It will make it all more believable I guess." He shrugged. "But there is one goal here, and you have to keep that at the back of your mind—revenge."

"Revenge," I repeated the word and nodded.

"He's a bad person, Claire. And you will find that out for yourself. And after that, you will have as much anger and rage in you for him as I do. Then making him suffer and killing him would come easy to you."

"Okay," I replied in a soft tone before going back to eating my food. I could not believe that I had agreed to do all of this. Just a day ago, I was depressed and living a life without color and purpose.

But now, it had all changed. I now had a purpose, and as sadistic as it was, I was okay with that.

After breakfast, I asked him to show me the bathroom and he told me where it was. I was used to my small sh*tty bathroom back at my apartment so when I saw the one in here, my eyes bulged.

I was going to make sure to take the longest shower I had taken in my life. And that was what I did, I was in there for an hour, and when I was done, I felt like a new woman.

Hours soon passed and it was now night. Daniel had made the necessary calls and networking and had apparently made it seem like I was one of the top upcoming models in the city. The appointment had been set and I was to leave in ten minutes for Damion's villa.

Adrenaline surged through my veins and my heart thumped in my chest. I was dressed by a stylist and when the lady was done with me—makeup and everything—I looked like I could pass as an actual model.

I never thought I could look this good. If I could fool myself, I was definitely going to fool the Playboy of the century.
