ADANNA POV (Point of view)
The silence after Orion disappeared felt wrong, too clean and too empty...Like something had just stepped out of the room… but was still watching.
Eden pulsed quietly inside my mind, with no alarms, no warnings, but I could feel it searching, scanning every layer of the network.
Looking for Orion..... finding nothing.
"It's gone," I whispered.
Darian didn't relax.
Victor didn't either.
"Nothing that advanced just goes," Darian said.
Victor nodded slowly.
"He's right."
I looked at him.
"You think it's still here?"
Victor's answer was calm.
"It never really left."
DARIAN POV (Point of view)
I stepped closer to the monitor.
"Then where is it?"
Victor didn't answer immediately.
Instead, he tapped the console, the system logs expanded across the screen.
Access records, network traces, signal paths.... all empty and completely clean, then I saw it..... a gap..... a small break in the data logs.
Like something had been there…
