The Breath of Flame can actually enhance the power of Fire Release!
The Hokage version of the Breath of Flame can also enhance physical fitness, but that's not the main function of the Breath of Flame; its main role is to strengthen the Fire Release.
Once you grasp the basics of Breath of Flame, you can use Full Concentration Breathing, instantly speeding up Fire Attribute Chakra Nature Changes to enhance the power of flames.
After mastering the Breath of Flame, you can enter a Constant State, allowing the effects of accelerated nature changes and enhanced flame power to become the norm, and it possesses even greater explosive power.
The Pattern Mode after mastering it is incredibly terrifying, allowing you to instantaneously convert all Chakra into flames without any hindrance, and all Fire Release Ninjutsu can be performed without signs, vastly enhancing the power of the flames.
With systematic magic modification, the Breath of Flame has not much to do with the original Demon Slayer, no need to wield a sword; it can completely be regarded as the Fire Release Chakra Mode.
In Hokage, there are many types of Chakra Modes. The most common and practical are the Sage Mode. If you're a Jinchuriki, there's a chance to practice Tailed Beast Chakra Mode, and there's also the Lightning Chakra Mode of the Hidden Cloud.
Mokgetsu even thinks that Susanoo can be counted as a kind of Chakra Mode, a Mangekyo-exclusive Chakra Mode.
Some Chakra Modes can even be stacked; Mokgetsu couldn't help but wonder how strong Fire Release would become if Sage Mode and the Breath of Flame Pattern were used together.
Although the reward wasn't the Moonwalk as expected, Mokgetsu was quite satisfied.
The localized effect of the Breath of Flame is strong, not only enhancing his own strength but also suitable for his disciple's cultivation.
Shisui and Obito are currently primarily using Fire Release Ninjutsu for attacks, and they are well-suited for the Breath of Flame.
In the evening during dinner, Mokgetsu informed Kushina that he had successfully cultivated the Three-Finger Seal.
"Already succeeded in cultivating? A month really flies by." Kushina commented as she took a bite of food.
"Not a month, it's twenty-seven days," Minato corrected.
He remembered when Kushina started Mokgetsu on the Three-Finger Seal, calculated the days, and realized Mokgetsu's cultivation speed was a few days faster than Kushina had anticipated.
"Twenty-seven days and a month are almost the same, I can't foresee the future, can't be 100% accurate," Kushina waved her hand dismissively.
"But completing earlier than I predicted shows Mokgetsu, your Fuinjutsu talent is really quite remarkable," Kushina praised.
"I've just finished writing down my insights on cultivating Fuinjutsu; after dinner, I'll give them to you along with the Fuinjutsu you'll be practicing next,"
"I've also written some insights from my own Fuinjutsu practice, maybe not as professional as Kushina's but should be somewhat helpful to you," said Minato.
Though all his Fuinjutsu was taught by Kushina, everyone has different thoughts during learning; Minato felt his insights could provide some assistance to Mokgetsu,
"Thank you, Kushina-sensei and Minato-sensei," Mokgetsu expressed his gratitude.
"Then make something delicious for me and Minato to taste," Kushina said with a broad smile.
Even though she didn't feel it was too taxing, since Mokgetsu mentioned it, she couldn't waste such a good opportunity without saying anything.
"Can you handle spicy food?" Mokgetsu asked after a moment's thought.
Previously, while teaching Kushina and Minato to cook, he blew up a Magical Mapo Tofu. If he remembers correctly, it's a recipe from Little Master Chef, and the taste shouldn't be bad.
"No problem, Mokgetsu, just go ahead and cook," Kushina answered.
"It's alright, still acceptable," Minato thought for a moment before responding.
They thought no dish could be too spicy; at worst, they could just not eat the chili inside.
"Then there's no problem; I'll prepare a dish tomorrow evening that's so delicious it glows for you both," Mokgetsu said with a smile.
"If the dish glows, I suspect something strange might be in it," Kushina commented jokingly.
"Could reaching the pinnacle of culinary delight make a dish actually glow?" Minato pondered the question seriously.
He recalled a time when Mokgetsu's fried rice seemed to shimmer faintly.
After dinner, Kushina and Minato returned home to fetch their cultivation insights and went back to where Mokgetsu lived.
The two handed the scrolls to Mokgetsu, who accepted them with thanks once again.
"The scroll of Fuinjutsu contains three techniques in total, besides the Five-Finger Seal and its corresponding Advanced Fuinjutsu, there's also a Contract Seal, enough for you to cultivate for a year," Kushina stated.
"Sounds difficult, I'll probably come and ask you questions often," Mokgetsu said with a smile after placing the scrolls safely.
"Feel free to ask. It might not be easy for you, but these are things I'm thoroughly familiar with," Kushina said confidently.
After Kushina and Minato left, Mokgetsu took the Sealing Technique Scroll to the second floor to start studying.
Upon opening the Fuinjutsu scroll, Mokgetsu discovered that the advanced Ninjutsu corresponding to the Five-Finger Seal was actually the Five Elements Seal.
Mokgetsu thought to himself that Kushina was indeed generous and confident in his talent, directly giving him an advanced Fuinjutsu like the Five Elements Seal.
Having studied Fuinjutsu for a while, he understood what an advanced level Fuinjutsu like the Five Elements Seal represented — an extremely difficult Fuinjutsu, one that even Jonin skilled in Fuinjutsu may not be able to master.
Mokgetsu felt that the existence of the Five-Finger Seal might just be to lower the learning difficulty of the Five Elements Seal.
The Contract Seal seemed quite interesting at a glance, as it could sever the contractual relationship between the caster and the Summoning Beast, making the caster lose control over the Summoning Technique and unable to summon it again.
Since it could cut contract relationships, perhaps it could be modified to cut other relationships as well.
Mokgetsu always suspected that the Tongue Curse Seal might have a function to actively trigger, which wouldn't be unlikely given Danzo's cautiousness.
If he could sever the relationship between the Tongue Curse Seal and Danzo, the caster, the threat of the Tongue Curse Seal to him would be greatly reduced.
Because the conditions for triggering the Tongue Curse Seal involve speaking out Danzo and Root's secrets, as long as he avoids mentioning these, it would never trigger.
"First learn the Five-Finger Seal, then the Five Elements Seal and Contract Seal, and aim to complete them within a month," Mokgetsu planned internally.
He had two Ninjutsu Proficiency Scrolls that could elevate an entry-level Ninjutsu to proficiency directly, and he intended to use them on the Five Elements Seal and Contract Seal.
By then, with both Fuinjutsu at proficiency level, they'd contribute even more knowledge of Fuinjutsu back to him.
...
On Monday afternoon, Mokgetsu began the combat test.
By now, the students who had participated in summer special training had been learning for two weeks and each had made some progress.
The rules for the combat test were basically the same as those for the Ninja School combat exam; opponents were determined by random draw.
