...
The next morning, Obito couldn't wait to head to the Southern Border Forest to learn the Shadow Clone Jutsu, the divine-level ninjutsu in his heart.
Mokgetsu had already scheduled their training time, from eight to twelve in the morning. Half of this time was for learning ninjutsu, and the other half for cultivating the breathing technique. Those like Shisui, who had already learned it, would use that half to practice other ninjutsu.
Twelve to two was rest time, when they could go home for lunch and a nap. If they didn't go home, Mokgetsu would cook for them. Then, from two to six, they had to go home for dinner by themselves.
"Rin, let me tell you, don't leave at noon; you absolutely have to try Teacher Mokgetsu's cooking at least once," Obito reminded her.
Nohara Rin hadn't had the chance to eat Mokgetsu's cooking yet due to the time she joined.
Mokgetsu's food was so delicious that Obito would freeload a meal here before going home to see his grandmother and taking a rest.
"Could it be that Teacher Mokgetsu is also great at cooking?" Nohara Rin was a bit curious.
"It's not a matter of being good or not; he's really something special..." Obito stumbled over his words trying to describe it.
"All I can say is I've never eaten anything better than Teacher Mokgetsu's cooking," Obito concluded.
Originally planning to go home for lunch, Nohara Rin nodded. Obito's description was so exaggerated that it made her curious; how good must it be to make Obito praise it so highly.
When it was time to train, Nohara Rin put aside her curiosity and started practicing according to Mokgetsu's guidance.
"When using the Shadow Clone Jutsu, you must know your limits. At your current level, it's best to only create one shadow clone," Mokgetsu warned Obito and Might Guy about the dangers of the Shadow Clone Jutsu.
The Shadow Clone Jutsu might seem like a simple ninjutsu, but it actually carries certain risks.
To prevent anyone unaware of their limits from creating a large number of shadow clones at once, the Multiple Shadow Clones technique was directly classified as a kinjutsu.
After explaining the dangers, Mokgetsu began teaching.
The Shadow Clone Jutsu has a difficulty level of B, but among B-rank ninjutsu, it's considered one of the easier ones to learn, not too hard.
After two hours of learning, Obito began forming seals to release a Shadow Clone.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
A puff of white smoke flashed, and an Obito lying on the ground appeared.
"Failed, let's try again!" Obito dispelled the shadow clone and tried again.
White smoke flashed, and a chubby version of Obito appeared.
Afraid that Nohara Rin would see, Obito quickly dispelled the shadow clone and put on a serious expression:
"No wonder this jutsu was created by the Second Hokage; the difficulty is quite something, much harder than the Clone Jutsu."
"Hahaha, Guy, what are you doing?" Obito couldn't help but laugh after seeing Might Guy's shadow clone.
Beside Might Guy stood a rock with limbs, which was continuously exercising.
"Uh, these past few days all I've thought about is rocks, and this just happened accidentally." Even Might Guy couldn't help but laugh.
"Haha, this is too funny. I have to show this to Shisui," Obito couldn't stop laughing at the peculiar stone face.
Leaf Whirlwind!
The stone shadow clone delivered a powerful tornado kick, sending the laughing Obito flying, then continued mimicking the weight-lifting motion.
"Guy, why are you hitting me?" Obito spat out some grass and asked Might Guy.
"The shadow clone did it; you should ask him," Might Guy didn't think it was him who hit Obito.
"Might Guy's shadow clone, why did you hit me?" Obito found this reasoning sensible and asked the shadow clone.
However, the stone shadow clone didn't respond.
Obito suddenly realized that this shadow clone didn't even have a mouth, so how could it talk?
Obito didn't have the chance to question further as Might Guy dispelled the shadow clone.
Mokgetsu watched this absurd scene with a twitch at the corner of his mouth; when it comes to shadow clones, Obito and Might Guy are indeed geniuses.
"It's time to cultivate the breathing technique," Mokgetsu reminded the two that it was time for the breathing technique practice.
During the breathing technique time, people's training positions changed a bit. Obito and Shisui practiced the Breath of Flame together, while Might Guy practiced the Breath of Rock alone.
"Shisui, you can't imagine how funny things were just now," Obito prepared to share the recent fun with Shisui.
"Oh." Shisui was a bit curious; Obito and Might Guy were supposed to be practicing the shadow clone, so he didn't understand what could be so funny.
"Just now, Guy made a rock with limbs..." Obito still found it amusing upon recalling.
To help Shisui understand more clearly, Obito used the Clone Jutsu to create a Might Guy-like clone, then used Transformation Jutsu to turn it into the appearance of Might Guy's shadow clone.
The Might Guy-like clone put on a confused head-scratching pose, while Obito himself stood by mimicking the rock shadow clone's weight-lifting movement.
"Your shadow clones are quite unique," Shisui couldn't deny that Obito and Might Guy were masters of comedic situations.
As the joyous training time passed, it was soon time for the lunch break, which all the disciples were eagerly anticipating.
"Wow, it's Magical Mapo Tofu today. Rin, you're in for a treat," Obito's fingers twitched with excitement the moment he opened the lunchbox and saw the content.
Mokgetsu's cooking was always delicious, but there were definitely some standout dishes among them, and Magical Mapo Tofu was one of Obito's favorites.
Nohara Rin looked at the bright red contents of the lunchbox, feeling a bit anxious; it looked really spicy.
"Can't waste food, mustn't disappoint Teacher Mokgetsu's good intentions," with this thought, Nohara Rin closed her eyes and scooped a spoonful into her mouth.
"So spicy, so delicious!" With just one taste, Nohara Rin fell in love with this dish.
Contrary to what she imagined, the spiciness of the Magical Mapo Tofu wasn't overwhelming, and it was accompanied by other equally excellent flavors.
She finally understood why Obito held Mokgetsu's cooking skills in such high regard. Nohara Rin even wanted to learn cooking from Mokgetsu so she wouldn't have to trouble him and could eat such delicious food every day.
