Uehara Naraku is very busy.
Right now, Uehara Naraku is squatting on the outskirts of this secret base, eagerly waiting for a White Zetsu clone to come out so he can capture it, while also using his rather crude drawing skills to sketch a map of the base.
The map that Uehara Naraku drew himself is more abstract than those he bought from some small shops. It basically includes only rough directional data and a few landmark hills.
While mapping the geographic location, Uehara Naraku occasionally alternates between using Hunting Rhythm and Destiny Skills to check if any White Zetsu appears.
After a long time, a White Zetsu clone finally appeared underground in this secret base, using the Mayfly Jutsu to head toward the direction of a nearby town.
Just as this White Zetsu emerged from the ground and transformed into the appearance of an ordinary person, someone suddenly tapped it on the shoulder and placed a sloppy map in front of it: "Friend, can you find your home with this map?"
"Hmm?"
White Zetsu furrowed its brows immediately. It turned its head to see a stranger's face, then confidently lowered its head to look at the map.
"What is this supposed to be?"
"A map!"
"What I meant was, what is this symbol supposed to be?"
The White Zetsu glared in irritation at the unfamiliar man behind it and started ranting at the sloppy map: "What is this supposed to be? A mountain? What's this? A lake? And this, a forest? What is this map even supposed to represent? Who can find a small hill in a forest? And it even notes it's approximately a few kilometers..."
As White Zetsu continued speaking, its voice gradually lowered. It seemed to remember where this location actually was; it was the secret base where they and Uchiha Obito were hiding!
White Zetsu quickly turned its head to look at the stranger, only to see a mysterious smile subtly appearing on his face, giving Zetsu a chill in its heart!
White Zetsu suddenly felt something was wrong, and just as it planned to break free and run back to the base to report, its body was immediately bound by vines!
White Zetsu's expression changed abruptly, and it asked in a deep voice, "Wood Release? Who exactly are you? How do you know Senju Hashirama's Wood Release?"
"Oh, I'm just a cartographer."
The stranger's face changed back to Uehara Naraku's original appearance, and he chuckled softly, "Well, it seems there's nothing wrong with the map I drew..."
"Uehara Naraku!"
This White Zetsu immediately recognized the man whose name was frequently mentioned inside their base. It had even secretly monitored Uehara Naraku for some time in The Hidden Rain Village, and it was said that Black Zetsu and Uchiha Obito always fought because of this guy.
This person was supposed to be their ally!
This White Zetsu once witnessed, years ago, Uehara Naraku speaking favorably of Uchiha Obito in front of Konan and Nagato, but Konan and Nagato stubbornly refused to reinstate Obito.
This White Zetsu reluctantly consoled itself and asked quietly, "Uehara Naraku, what exactly do you mean? Why capture me and note the location of our secret base? Are you a spy planted by Nagato and Konan around us?"
"Do all White Zetsu nag as annoyingly as you?"
Uehara Naraku suddenly unfolded two pairs of white wings on his back. He grabbed the tightly-bound White Zetsu and flew abruptly into the sky.
This White Zetsu, who had lived underground for so long, seemed to have a fear of heights and kept cursing in the air.
Uehara Naraku prided himself on his own high standards, and knowing that this White Zetsu wouldn't live much longer, he ignored Zetsu's curses.
This White Zetsu was to be delivered to Yakushi Kabuto.
Uehara Naraku spread his wings and flew all the way to the vicinity of The Hidden Sound Village, bringing along the White Zetsu that had cursed all the way.
Upon landing, the White Zetsu said in a deep voice, "This is The Hidden Sound Village. Uehara Naraku, what do you want to do by bringing me here?"
"You've been to quite a few places."
Uehara Naraku chuckled softly, then began to activate his Destiny Skills, quickly locating Yakushi Kabuto's position, though Orochimaru was currently not in the village.
Ever since the Konoha Crush Plan, it seemed that Orochimaru cared little for the existence of The Hidden Sound Village. The number of ninja in the village had been gradually decreasing, and even the defenses were not well-maintained.
That's quite normal.
After all, Konoha had been tracking Orochimaru all along, and they were only recently hindered by that rogue Anbu ninja supposedly codenamed Orphan. Once they regained their composure, they would certainly find a way to send people to annihilate The Hidden Sound Village.
At least, nominally, to destroy The Hidden Sound Village.
Orochimaru wouldn't care about Konoha's actions. The foundation of The Hidden Sound Village was Orochimaru himself. As long as Orochimaru was alive, he could build a new Hidden Sound Village in the future.
Uehara Naraku hardly exerted any effort to find Yakushi Kabuto, who happened to be cautiously conducting experiments in a laboratory.
When Yakushi Kabuto saw Uehara Naraku, he wasn't particularly surprised either. He had witnessed the wonders of his new superior many times.
But why did Uehara Naraku have that curious baby-like look in his eyes as he stared at the experiment table? Was he planning to cause an explosion?
"Ahem... Lord Naraku."
Yakushi Kabuto hurriedly interrupted Uehara Naraku's thoughts. He looked down at the White Zetsu beside Uehara Naraku, his eyes lighting up immediately: "Is this the White Zetsu?"
