Chapter 50 - 50

Chapter 50: Green Light

I am Mo Fei!

I'm freaking out right now!

Last night, Miss Dylan and I went to Wushan to ride the carousel. It was supposed to be a happy occasion, but to my surprise, as soon as I opened my eyes, several bullets flew towards me.

Why would you do this to me?

By the time Mo Fei opened his eyes, the bullets had already left the rifling and were speeding towards his glabella.

Panicked, Mo Fei hadn't lost his instincts and immediately activated his five-second real man… bah! It was his Overlord Body skill.

A green light emanated from Mo Fei's body, protecting him within a one-meter radius.

It was a tranquil, eerie green!

Mo Fei: "…"

He knew the silly dog system would never miss an opportunity to mess with him.

Since acquiring the Overlord Body skill, Mo Fei had never used it, because what if he accidentally suffered a fatal injury during the cooldown period?

Anyway, with the silly dog system's certification, it definitely wouldn't be a fake or bad product; he still had that much faith in the silly dog system.

He just hadn't expected the color to be green… seven or eight bullets floated within that one-meter green light radius, unable to advance an inch.

The somewhat unsightly assassin's eyes widened. What the hell was this?

Newton, come out and explain what's going on here!

Newton calmly lay in his coffin, reaching out to pull his pried-open coffin lid back, indicating that such minor matters should no longer disturb him.

Ugly rejection!

Next time, send someone handsomer to ask.

Perhaps I'll even have time to chat with him for a while!

The commotion in the room naturally woke Dylan. Still a bit groggy, she hadn't yet understood the situation when she saw a bloody light suddenly bloom in Mo Fei's eyes beside her, like a bolt of lightning, and he lunged directly at the other person in the room, landing a fierce hook punch on the assassin's jaw.

The assassin saw stars, spat blood, and was about to instinctively fight back.

The next moment, Mo Fei's body dipped slightly, and a bizarre vertical elbow strike, like a sharp blade, hit the assassin's jaw again!

Hit twice consecutively in the jaw, the assassin felt his vision go black, the World spin, and his consciousness became somewhat blurry!

"Crack!" Mo Fei executed a combo, hooking the assassin's neck, crossing his hands, and twisting hard!

A cold light flashed in his eyes—Die!!!

Mo Fei released his grip, letting the assassin's limp body fall to the floor, still exuding a chilling killing intent.

Since Mo Fei arrived in this World, he had never been so close to death as he was today.

If he hadn't woken up instinctively and activated his Overlord Body, he would have been dead today.

"Assassin…" His chest heaved violently, his eyes flickering with dangerous light.

Dylan was stunned! Mo Fei's combat skills were actually so powerful? He could even crush her three companions! He really wasn't an ordinary person.

Looking at the corpse on the ground, Mo Fei quietly thought for two seconds, then immediately found his phone and called Mindy, telling her what had happened here.

Being assassinated and killing someone were two things that Mindy needed to handle; they weren't something he, a person who had never encountered the dark side, could resolve.

Mindy said she would rush over immediately.

And he needed to go to the bathroom to hide immediately, to guard against further assassination attempts or direct RPG attacks.

Hiding in the bathroom couldn't guarantee absolute safety, but it was definitely the most advantageous course of action in the current situation.

Hanging up the phone, Mo Fei exhaled a turbid breath and said to Dylan: "We still don't know who the enemy is, or if there will be more people. We need to hide in the bathroom for a while."

"I know!" Dylan had already put her clothes back on and grabbed her laptop.

"Do you think today's assassination was aimed at me or at you?" Dylan asked while booting up her computer.

She suspected she was being dragged down by Mo Fei.

Mo Fei sighed: "I'm just a Doctor from a medical clinic; I only save people, I don't kill. Who would be so bored as to try and assassinate me? And what's your profession? A mercenary! It must be aimed at you."

"You have this kind of combat ability, and you're just an ordinary Doctor?" Dylan didn't believe him.

"I really am just an ordinary Doctor, and my combat skills are a family inheritance." Mo Fei shook his head, smiling helplessly: "If I were to offend a big shot enough for him to send people to assassinate me, it could only be the chain reaction caused by that one kick I delivered, making that big shot's chrysanthemum bloom! Other than that, how could I ever be qualified to interact with those big shots?!"

Dylan thought about it. If Mo Fei wasn't lying, then the assassin was ninety percent after her.

And the most likely people to deal with them… Oh no!

If Mo Fei's deduction was correct, then Alex and Natalie were also in danger.

After her computer booted up, Dylan quickly tried to contact Alex and Natalie, but there was no response.

Dylan's heart sank. That was their emergency contact method, a 24-hour activated computer with alerts. Even though it was late at night, if they were still safe and sound, they would definitely have received her message.

No response now meant only one thing—they had met with an accident!

"I don't know if they were captured… or…" A hint of tears appeared in Dylan's eyes.

But now was not the time for sadness. She quickly contacted Charlie.

That was Charlie's emergency contact method for them, though it was only a one-way contact from them to Charlie; no one knew if Charlie would respond.

But fortunately, after only about three minutes, Dylan received Charlie's reply.

After Dylan recounted the events, Charlie said he understood and had sent people to meet her here, telling her to be careful not to miss the rendezvous.

Sitting in the pitch-black bathroom, they didn't even dare to turn on the light.

Dylan hugged her knees, looking at Mo Fei, who was clearly a bit emotionally unstable beside her, wanting to speak but hesitating, organizing her words, then forgetting what to say… The two just sat quietly, their minds far from calm.

Dylan was worried about the safety of her sisters, Alex and Natalie, while Mo Fei was shaken by the assassination, having never been so close to death.

Mo Fei had been in this World for so long, always holding a playful attitude, believing that no matter how dangerous this World was, it wouldn't affect him. But today taught Mo Fei a lesson.

Many times, seemingly insignificant small matters can also bring about a fatal disaster.

After all, this World was no longer that safe and carefree real World, but the magical and fantastical Marvel Universe.

After about fifteen minutes, there was movement at the door.

Someone had arrived!

And the person who arrived was someone Mo Fei would never have dreamed of…
