Chapter 51: Knowing Each Other Inside Out
It was Ji Ze'er!
"Holy crap! Why is it you?" Mo Fei blurted out.
"Why is it you?" Ji Ze'er was equally surprised!
"Instructor, do you two know each other?" Dylan looked at Mo Fei and Ji Ze'er, puzzled.
"Instructor?" Mo Fei pointed at Dylan and asked, "You're their instructor?"
"I was their instructor for a while before I started working for Braga. Mr. Charlie asked me to," Ji Ze'er explained. "Today, he also asked me to protect Dylan, at a cost of 100,000 U.S. dollars. And he's offered a one-million U.S. dollar bounty to rescue the other two Angels who were captured."
"Do you know who the enemy is?" Mo Fei frowned.
"It's Nuo Airui from Nuo Tech. He has already warned Charlie that if Charlie still wants to save his Angels, he must personally go to Nuo Airui's private seaside estate in Kamil, or he will kill them!" Ji Ze'er said.
"I told you so," Mo Fei spread his hands. "This whole thing, from beginning to end, is Nuo Airui's solo act."
"Despicable and shameless!" Dylan's silver teeth nearly shattered.
"Hey, how did you two end up together?" Ji Ze'er looked at Mo Fei.
The air suddenly went quiet.
Mo Fei scratched his head. This... was a bit awkward... Well, Ji Ze'er probably understood what was going on.
Having been Mo Fei's close 'friend' for several years, she wasn't unaware of his philandering nature.
A lyric could profoundly describe him: I just love to 'bang,' don't tell me to stop.
She gave Mo Fei a glare.
"Then, Instructor, what's your relationship with Mo Fei?" Dylan asked tentatively.
"We're good friends who know each other inside out!" Mo Fei quickly replied, emphasizing "inside out." Ji Ze'er heard it and gave Mo Fei a disdainful look.
"Oh," Dylan nodded.
Ji Ze'er went into the bedroom and saw the assassin's corpse.
"Did you kill him, Dylan?" She crouched down to examine the marks on the body.
"No, Mo Fei killed him."
"You killed him?" Ji Ze'er looked at Mo Fei in surprise. "We've known each other for years, and I never knew you had such good fighting skills?"
The man on the ground still held a PT-945 pistol, yet he died very swiftly and cleanly, highlighting the opponent's skill.
"One should be looked at with new eyes after three days!" Mo Fei raised an eyebrow. "How many days has it been since we last met? Don't look at me with old eyes!"
Ji Ze'er: "..."
I suspect Mo Fei is flirting with me again, but I have no evidence.
"Alright! I pretty much understand what happened. You can't stay here any longer; I'll take you away!"
"You two leave first!"
"Are you crazy? It'll be dangerous to stay here!"
"I have to wait for my sister."
"Your sister lives here too?" Ji Ze'er frowned.
"No, I just called her. She should be on her way now."
Ji Ze'er: "..."
Are you kidding me?
With dead bodies involved, why would you call your sister?
"What time is it? Don't joke with me!"
"He's not joking with you!" Mindy walked into the room, wearing tactical goggles and carrying an M1911.
Since Ji Ze'er's residence was closer to the Hilton Hotel where Mo Fei and Dylan were staying than Mo Fei's home, Ji Ze'er arrived first, followed by Mindy.
With people like Ji Ze'er and Mindy, who had ventured into the Dark Dimension, the disposal of the bodies was naturally not a problem.
"Brother, what have you done again to make people try to assassinate you?" Mindy asked, exasperated, from inside the Ford Cobra.
"I'm wronged too!" Mo Fei smiled helplessly and recounted the entire story from beginning to end.
"So, that means you might have been implicated by Dylan, but it's also possible that Nuo Airui resents you both?"
"That's the situation right now."
"Brother!" Mindy thought for a moment and said, "You can't gamble on 'what if' in this kind of situation! So we need to take the initiative. Whether he's targeting you or not, let's just kill him first!"
Mo Fei, of course, had no objections.
Mindy's eyes gleamed with a cold, menacing light.
She usually kept her distance from wealthy magnates and powerful politicians, but that didn't mean she wouldn't fight back if they provoked her.
This situation was far more serious than when Big Beard tried to usurp power last time!
Because Mo Fei had a narrow escape this time; he was almost truly assassinated by Nuo Airui.
This was her only living relative, her dearest older brother!
Although she often got a headache from her brother's philandering habits and would occasionally throw a small tantrum or bully him a little.
But!
He's the only older brother that I, Mindy, can bully!
Anyone else who touches him will die!
Therefore!
Nuo Airui is dead for sure! I, Mindy, said it! Not even Jesus can save him!
...Dylan's safe house.
"Hey, what's your sister's background? She seems incredibly powerful!" Ji Ze'er pulled Mo Fei aside and asked curiously, because the cold, murderous aura from Mindy was too astonishing. She was definitely a harbinger of death who had killed many people; Ji Ze'er even felt a bit suppressed by Mindy.
Mo Fei thought for a moment and said, "Do you know about Bullet Time and Curved Shot?"
He and Ji Ze'er had been close for several years, and their mutual trust meant Mo Fei had few reservations.
"I've heard of them," Ji Ze'er said, frowning in thought. "Those seem to be signature skills of a very powerful assassin organization! And skills that only the top figures among them can learn! Any assassin who knows Bullet Time and Curved Shot can at least rank in the top twenty on the World assassin leaderboard."
"Coincidentally, my sister told me the same thing," Mo Fei said with a smile. "She said if she were to put her skills up against assassins worldwide for a ranking, she could at least rank in the top twenty."
"Are you saying?"
"That's right, my sister knows both Bullet Time and Curved Shot!" Mo Fei nodded.
"So what are you going to do now? Are you going to get revenge on Nuo Airui?"
"Of course I'm going to get revenge! That bastard almost killed me!" Mo Fei nodded fiercely. "And I'm also afraid he'll endlessly pursue and kill me in the future, so I must strike first and take him out!"
"Then how about we team up and take on Charlie's mission?"
"Charlie's mission?" Mo Fei looked at Ji Ze'er, puzzled.
"Didn't I say earlier that Charlie offered a one-million U.S. dollar bounty to rescue the other two Angels? If it were just me, I wouldn't be confident in completing this mission, but with your sister, it's different." Ji Ze'er shrugged. "Anyway, you're already looking to get revenge on Nuo Airui, so earning a bounty along the way isn't bad!"
"One million U.S. dollars?"
"Let's do it!" The expressionless Mindy walked over, making the final decision!
