Chapter 3 - Chapter 2 :Beyond the Cafe: A City Awaits

The evening air, soft and fragrant, held the promise of a starlit night. Nestled in a prime location, overlooking the city's glittering heart, stood a cafe of unparalleled beauty. Its windows, like shimmering eyes, reflected the vibrant cityscape, while the warm glow of interior lights spilled out onto the cobblestone streets.

The doors swung open, and a figure emerged. A handsome man, impeccably dressed, paused in the entrance, his gaze sweeping over the scene. A murmur rippled through the cafe.

"He's here again," someone whispered.

"Every day," another replied. "He's even more handsome in person."

"I wish he would look at me," a woman sighed, her voice laced with longing.

He paid them no mind, his focus unwavering as he moved with purpose through the crowded tables. The cafe seemed to part before him, as if drawn by an invisible force. He headed directly towards a secluded alcove, a haven of tranquility. From this vantage point, he had a breathtaking view of the city, the lights of the buildings dancing on the surface of the wide river. The elegant bridge, a graceful arc of steel and light, stretched across the water, connecting the two sides of the city.

He settled into a plush chair, his gaze fixed on the panorama before him, lost in thought. The clinking of glasses, the murmur of conversations, faded into a distant hum.

"Jaks?"

A voice, melodious and clear, cut through his reverie. He turned his head, drawn by the sound. Before him, a hand, slender and elegant, rested on the table. The hand was followed by the crisp white apron of the cafe's uniform, and then, finally, the face. A woman with eyes that sparkled with intelligence and a smile that could light up the entire room. Her long, white-silver hair cascaded down her back, a stark contrast to the dark uniform.

"Jaks," she repeated, her voice a gentle invitation. "The usual?"

Jaks offered a small nod, a flicker of something unreadable in his expression. "Please."

She smiled, a warmth that seemed to reach his very core. "Coming right up."

As she turned to prepare his order, Jaks's gaze lingered on her for a moment.
