Chapter 3 - 3: The clinging girls...

Erza, however, didn't want such a hassle.

She pointed at several women and instructed, "I can deal with these bandits in an instant, but the problem is my attack range is too wide, and I could easily injure those girls."

"I need you to protect them while I use my Magic."

A wide range?

Aux looked at the Heaven's Wheel Armor on her, guessing which move she might use.

"My Magic is Addition Magic; I can't protect those girls," Aux explained.

Erza's eyes became bewildered.

A single move that turned a three-story building to ashes, and you're telling me it's Addition Magic?

Aux cheerfully suggested, "I recommend you don't use area attacks. Just one sword is enough, and I can add speed to it."

Erza frowned in conflicted thought.

Even if her speed increased, it would be impossible to take down dozens of bandits in an instant, right?

Unless the speed was boosted to the point of a few seconds.

But the problem was, that's impossible!

Erza subtly reminded him, "Bandits have no faith; they can slaughter unarmed civilians at will for their own safety."

"Unless I can swing dozens of times within two or three seconds, they will absolutely kill those girls without mercy."

She thought that reminding him to this extent should make Aux realize that this battle couldn't be taken lightly.

Who would have thought that Aux would ponder for two seconds and then nod.

"With your Magic power and physical strength, you should be able to increase your speed to deliver over ten strikes per second!"

What???

Erza's face was filled with doubt.

Could he really make her that fast? This lie was simply too hard to believe, wasn't it?

Erza confirmed, "You're not kidding?"

Aux affirmed, "Of course, I'd hate to see girls die in front of me."

At this point.

Erza felt she should give him her trust, just like she trusted her guild companions.

She wasn't the type to dither. Once she decided on a way to deal with the enemies, she immediately dispelled her re-equip.

She changed back into her usual plain armor.

Summoning a sharpened knight's sword into her hands, she gripped the hilt with both hands and looked at Aux with a heroic spirit.

"Addition: Gale Force!"

Aux stepped back two paces to create distance, gripping his staff and activating Addition Magic.

He lightly tapped Erza.

Ding! Detected the use of Addition Magic. Infinite Addition boosted to: Gale Force Lv. MAX.

The Infinite Addition system immediately amplified it.

Erza felt her body lighten, and she tried to raise her arm.

But who would have thought that as soon as the thought occurred, her arm was already raised.

"So fast, with this speed, I can definitely deal with the bandits..." Erza began.

However, what she didn't expect was that her speaking speed was even more astonishing.

Her lips barely trembled before she finished speaking.

Aux reminded her, "Your body and mind are almost in sync now; that should be enough to deal with these bandits."

He had used Addition on commoners before, but never on a Mage.

He was now eager to know how effective the speed boost was.

Erza's head moved slightly, completing a nod. She refocused her gaze on the bandits in the open space.

She planned the order to cut them down, striving not to waste too much time!

"Let's go!"

By the time Aux clearly heard those two words, Erza's figure was no longer in sight.

He looked towards the open ground and saw.

Erza, maintaining her forward-charging posture, had already passed the dozens of bandits.

Did she fail?

Just as Aux thought this.

Blood spurted from the bodies of the dozens of bandits, and they collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

She actually finished cutting them all!

"Not even a second. I didn't expect a Mage could be enhanced to this extent."

Aux walked out.

Stroking his chin, he walked over to the bandits and found that each bandit had at least two sword wounds.

"Very fast!" Erza replied.

At this moment, her speaking speed had returned to normal, which made Aux raise an eyebrow slightly.

Applying Addition to a Mage produced better results than expected, but the problem seemed to be that it wasn't sustained enough.

Aux noted this characteristic so he could apply Addition more promptly in the future.

"Wuwuwu..." "Yingyingying..."

With all the bandits dealt with, Aux and Erza walked towards the bound women.

The girls were all struggling, unsure if it was out of fear or gratitude.

Swish, swish!

Erza's two sword slashes cut through the ropes binding the girls.

"Thank you! Thank you, two great Mages."

"If it weren't for you two, our fate would have been unimaginable."

"Thank you! When we return, we will surely have our families thank you."

The women all spoke in turn to express their gratitude.

Aux was quite hopeful they would give him more money as thanks so he could continue his travels.

"Why don't you all come back to town with us? We'll inform the Soldiers to arrest these bandits then," Erza said.

All the women smiled happily.

They reconnected the severed ropes and used them to tie up the unconscious bandits.

The group headed towards the town.

"Great Mage, I'm hosting a banquet at my house tonight to thank you for saving my life. Do you have time to come?"

"Handsome man, come home with me! I also want to learn Magic."

"Great Mage, my father keeps forcing me to marry. Can you pretend to be my boyfriend?"

"Handsome man, handsome man, my kitten can do a backflip."

"..."

The journey back was both painful and joyful for Aux.

These girls were all very young; some were from noble families, and some were beautiful women with excellent figures.

They surrounded Aux, talking non-stop.

Some even boldly linked arms with him, rubbing against him.

Others spoke in a high-pitched voice, inviting him for tea.

Aux's head felt as big as a bucket; all these girls were eyeing his body.

Having lived two lives, he was extremely socially anxious.

Facing this flock of chattering girls, he felt a bit overwhelmed and wanted to faint.

He now regretted immensely why he saved them!

"Aux, your purple hair and golden eyes naturally make you more attractive than many men. Once you join a Mage guild, you'll definitely become the number one most desired male Mage in the newspapers," Erza said with a laugh.

However, Aux rolled his eyes in return and continued to deal with the girls clinging to him.

Back in town.

Erza and Aux immediately found the Soldiers to report, and soon after, families who had lost their daughters sent people to the scene to pick them up.

And before leaving, those girls all re-invited them, saying they wanted to thank the two.

In reality, they were just interested in Aux's appearance.

Erza teased, "Rest here tonight. Remember to meet at the station tomorrow morning. Take care of yourself!"

After saying that, Erza directly found a place to rest.

Leaving Aux to decide which girl's house to spend the night at.

"No money for food..." Aux patted his pockets. With not a single penny, he had nowhere to rest. "It looks like I'll have to find a girl's house to get a free meal and drink."

He wasn't going to sleep with a girl; it was just that those girls hadn't given him any reward for saving their lives.

He was going to go door-to-door asking for money...
