Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Burn, My Little Cosmos!

After midnight!

On the rooftop of the apartment.

Hawk was punching the air.

No punching bag.

No fighting techniques at all.

Hawk didn't even move, he just stood there, eyes slightly closed, as if entranced, throwing punch after punch into the air in front of him.

This time he wasn't chasing speed, but seemed to be in a state of some new enlightenment.

Even before, with each punch he threw, an unusual sensation arose within him.

But tonight it was even stronger.

Hawk felt he seemed to have entered a place that was infinite darkness from every angle.

But...

With every punch he threw, this infinite darkness would emit a glimmer of light.

If Hawk bothered to look and inspect at this moment, he would discover something even more peculiar.

Which was—

Adorning the night sky, he could now see with the naked eye constellations of Pegasus, Dragon, White Bird, Phoenix... Scorpius, and the forty-eight constellations of Bronze, all responding with flashes at every punch he threw.

Indeed.

Not a single constellation responding, but all.

All forty-eight Bronze constellations responded with every punch from Hawk.

One punch, then another... over and over.

This time Hawk was punching slowly, yet at the same time quickly.

Although he ensured that each punch was fully retracted before he threw the next one, often before the afterimage of the first punch completely disappeared, the afterimage of the second punch had already appeared.

Next came the third punch, fourth punch, fifth punch, right up to the present.

Punches all over the sky!

At this moment, suddenly, a roar sounded in Hawk's mind.

The sound was barely audible, yet seemed like a great bell.

Boom!

A flame appeared beneath the croon of this sound, and with its appearance, scattered away the stars that had been imprinted upon reality by Hawk's relentless punches, rippling and quietly revealing the dark veil.

Initially this was just a hint of disturbance.

Quickly, this disturbance expanded violently, like the primordial cosmic explosion, shattering the stars adorning the infinite dark sky—

Deep within Hawk's body, formless walls collapsed under the energy akin to that released by the primordial cosmic explosion, awakening a force dormant for eons.

Swish!

Hawk opened his eyes, which had been slightly closed.

At the moment he opened his eyes, deep within his gaze, the flame was no longer quietly extinguishing after blossoming.

This time, the flame blossomed completely.

Boom!!

Hawk felt the blood around him surging and roaring, every tiny cell within his body trembled madly, akin to a thousand stars simultaneously expanding, and under this intense vibration and expansion, every inch, every bone shattered, but in the blink of an eye was reshaped by this terrifying power like the birth of a celestial body.

Buzz!

A buzzing sound rang in Hawk's ear, then his view blurred, revealing a wondrous sight.

He saw the particles making up his flesh spinning fiercely, burning, collapsing, before performing a scene like the primordial cosmic explosion.

He saw the blood flowing beneath his skin, much like a roaring river of stars.

He further saw his beating heart, with each pulse akin to the primal and eternal pulse of the universe's creation, spreading invisible ripples across the unending void.

The next moment.

With fortune and enlightenment

Hawk clenched his right fist, as his heel ground the earth, his foot like a plough, as the rooftop shattered, shifted his entire body backward.

Retreat.

Then...

Punch!

Hawk let out a low hum that didn't come from his throat, but was a soul-shattering whisper!

"Burn, my Little Cosmos!!"

"Boom boom boom!"

The surrounding air at this moment rippled like water.

The surrounding space at this moment shattered like glass.

The surrounding flow of time was at this moment violently torn.

Air, space, and even time seemed to stand still under Hawk's punch.

The next second.

"Hiss!"

The air gave a scream of tearing.

"Bang bang!"

Space cried out in despair from being crushed.

"Boom!"

Time was completely shattered by this blow.

But then a new timeline instantly replaced the crushed one.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Across a road, with this punch's wind, the exterior glass wall of a nearby apartment building shattered, pulverized, producing deafening sounds.

"Bang bang bang!"

"Whoa whoa!"

"Whoa whoa!"

The vehicles parked on the opposite road seemed to be pressed down by an invisible giant hand descending from the sky.

The car windows shattered in response, and the car alarms sprang to life, emitting sharp warning sounds one after another.

Meanwhile!

Kamar-Taj!

"Hmm?"

"Teacher?"

The mage of the Holy Hall glanced at the Supreme Mage, who had suddenly uttered a puzzled sound.

The Supreme Mage in a yellow robe looked down, gazing at the holy artifact hanging around his neck—Eye of Agamotto.

The Ancient One formed a seal with his hands, Eye of Agamotto slowly rotated and opened, with a mysterious and profound green gemstone inside emitting a bright green light.

This gemstone had a common name in the Marvel Cosmos.

Time Gemstone!

It allows practitioners to reach any point in time, thus achieving time travel, whether to distant past or any far future.

The Time Gemstone governs known and all unknown timelines, possessing it means controlling time.

"What's this?"

"The future was changed?"

"..."

The Ancient One formed the seal again, closing the Eye of Agamotto, rose, and vanished from the spot.

'Ding!'

'Congratulations, activating Little Cosmos Cultivation!'

'Ding!'

'Accompanying you for a thousand days was my honor, the attachment is about to unbind, looking forward to our next meeting!'

'Finally, the Little Cosmos Cultivation Method is a technique of battle, a technique of holy war, growing through battle, and sublimating through battle!'

'Farewell!'

The mechanical voice of the attachment echoed in Hawk's mind.

A thousand days ago, it quietly came online.

A thousand days later, it quietly went offline once more.

Silently arriving.

Silently leaving.

By now the sky was bright.

"Holy shit!"

"What just happened."

"My glass."

"Ah, my car."

"Who the hell did this."

"Wait a minute."

"Quickly, look, what is that?"

"Holy…" Jesus Christ."

Standing on the apartment rooftop, Hawk listened to the commotion seeming to sound right beside him, slowly opened his eyes, and saw above Manhattan the sky torn open by a blue light.

Hawk froze for a moment.

"Hiss!"

"I just punched, and broke a hole in the sky?"

"..."
