# Chapter 33: Fluffals
"He summoned two Rank 6 Xyz Monsters in a row on his first turn! As expected of an elite duelist from the LDS!" After Yūga Hōzumi ended his turn, the Announcer Uncle shouted with passion, and the audience readily responded with thunderous applause for Yūga Hōzumi.
"It seems that despite your bad temper and being a novice at Action Duels, you're quite popular with the crowd," Sora said, sucking on a lollipop before drawing a card. "Well then, let's complete this ultimate duel show together."
Yūga Hōzumi ignored Sora, simply watching him coldly.
"You're really no fun, wasting the audience's enthusiasm. My turn! Draw!" Sora said to himself after seeing Yūga Hōzumi remain silent, then drew his card.
"I activate the Continuous Spell, Toy Vendor!"
"I activate Toy Vendor's effect! Once per turn, I can discard one card to draw one card and show it to my opponent. If the drawn card is a 'Fluffal' monster, I can Special Summon one monster from my hand. If not, the drawn card is discarded." After Sora sent a card from his hand to the Graveyard, the giant gacha machine in front of him spat out a capsule.
"The card I drew is Fluffal Sheep! Therefore, I'll Special Summon a Fluffal monster from my hand!"
"Appear! Fluffal Owl!"
"When Fluffal Owl is summoned from the hand, I can add a 'Fusion' card from my Deck to my hand. I'll add 'Fusion Substitute,' which is always treated as the card 'Fusion'!"
"If I control a 'Fluffal' monster other than this one, I can Special Summon this card!"
"Appear! Fluffal Sheep!"
"I activate Fluffal Sheep's effect! I return one other 'Fluffal' monster I control to the hand to Special Summon one 'Edge Imp' monster from my hand or Graveyard."
"Appear! Edge Imp Sabres!"
"Now it's time to get to the main event!" Sora snapped his fingers, and spotlights converged on him. "Ladies and gentlemen!"
"And now, please enjoy the most authentic Fusion Summoning show!" Sora bowed deeply to the audience.
"Is he trying to say the Fusion Summoning taught by the LDS is fake?" the dark-skinned Hot Girl in the audience said with displeasure, gritting her teeth.
But everyone else gave Sora their loudest cheers.
"I activate the Spell Card, Fusion Substitute!" Amidst the thunderous applause, Sora revealed the card he had just searched for.
"I fuse Edge Imp Sabres and Fluffal Sheep on my field!"
Sora pressed his hands together in front of his chest, his expression turning ferocious.
"Claws of the demon, fangs of the beast! Become one in the mystical vortex and show us your new form and power! Fusion Summon! Come forth, Level 6! Beast of the jungle that tears all apart! Frightfur Tiger!"
The demonic scissors in front of Sora trimmed the seemingly docile sheep into a tattered, teal-colored tiger plushie, then used themselves as joints to reassemble the fragments. Scarlet light glowed from the plushie's eye sockets.
Frightfur Tiger ATK: 1900
"I activate Frightfur Tiger's effect! When this card is Fusion Summoned, I can target and destroy cards on the field up to the number of Fusion Materials used for its summon."
The tattered plush's great maw opened, shooting out countless sharp blades that whistled toward the two monsters on Yūga Hōzumi's field.
"I activate my Counter Trap, Divine Wrath!" In the nick of time, Yūga Hōzumi waved his hand and flipped up the set card in his backrow.
"By discarding one card, I can negate the activation of a monster's effect and destroy it!"
The more powerful the card, the simpler its effect text. As Yūga Hōzumi sent the Action Card he had just picked up to the Graveyard, a bolt of lightning descended, blasting Frightfur Tiger and the blades it had shot out into ashes.
"What?!" Sora watched this scene in disbelief.
"Compared to the unknown effects of Action Cards, I'd rather trust my own," Yūga Hōzumi said with a smirk, casually picking up another Action Card at his feet and looking at Sora's expression, which was as if he had eaten something disgusting.
"Haha, interesting. Is this your way of teaching me how to use Action Spells?" Sora crushed the candy in his mouth, his face twisting into an expression that could rival Mr. Ma's and Mr. Cheng's. "Let's see just how many more times you can stop me!"
"I Summon Edge Imp Saw in Attack Position!"
"When this card is summoned, I send one 'Fluffal' monster from my hand to the Graveyard to draw two cards. Then, I place one card from my hand on either the top or bottom of my Deck."
"I activate the effect of the Fluffal Wings I just sent to the Graveyard! While I control 'Toy Vendor,' I can banish this card from my Graveyard and target one 'Fluffal' monster in my Graveyard. I banish that monster, and then I draw one card."
"I banish Fluffal Sheep from my Graveyard to draw a card. And thanks to its other effect, by sending the 'Toy Vendor' on my field to the Graveyard, I can draw another card!"
"Next, I activate the effect of Fusion Substitute in my Graveyard! I banish this card and target one Fusion Monster in my Graveyard. I return it to the Extra Deck, and then I draw one card."
"And now, I activate the Spell Card, Fusion!"
"I fuse Edge Imp Saw on the field with Fluffal Penguin in my hand!"
"Iron teeth that house a demon! Become one with the fanged beast and reveal a new power and form! Fusion Summon! Come forth, Level 7! King of beasts that slices through all! Frightfur Leo!"
A moment after the tattered lion plush emerged from the fusion vortex, a spinning chainsaw burst out from within it, emitting a sinister aura.

It seemed Sora was determined to one-up Mr. Ma and Mr. Cheng today. His distorted expression and the ferocious monster made several children in the audience burst into tears on the spot.
"When Fluffal Penguin is sent to the Graveyard as a Fusion Material for a 'Frightfur' monster, I can draw two cards, then discard one!"
"You stopped me last time, but how will you stop me now? I activate Frightfur Leo's effect! I target one face-up monster you control, destroy it, and then you take damage equal to its original ATK!"
Frightfur Leo cackled strangely, flinging several spinning saw blades whistling toward the Constellar Ptolemy M7 beside Yūga Hōzumi.
"I activate Photon Strike Bounzer's effect! Once per turn, when an opponent's monster effect is activated, I can detach one Overlay Unit from this card to negate the activation and inflict 1000 damage to my opponent!"
The Bounzer moved in front of Yūga Hōzumi, the spheres of light orbiting it glowing brightly. It then fired a blue beam that engulfed the incoming saw blades before striking the ground in front of Sora.
Instantly, Sora was blown away by the blast, crashing hard against the solid-vision building behind him.
