Chapter 47 - KAEL'S NEW BEGINNING

Kael sat in his office at the Bimo Foundation, looking at photos of the charity projects they had successfully completed. Yet his mind wandered to Elara. Though he had tried to let go, releasing someone so deeply loved was never easy.

"Mr. Kael," a staff member interrupted his reverie. "There's a new donor who wants to meet."

In the meeting room, Kael was surprised to find Clara standing there with a serious expression. "I'm not here to cause trouble, Kael. I want to help the foundation."

After the meeting, Kael realized that life must go on. He decided to take Bimo on a vacation to his hometown, where he had spent his childhood.

In the quiet village, far from the city's hustle and bustle, Kael found peace. Watching Bimo play freely in the open countryside touched his heart. This was what had been missing from their lives all along.

One afternoon, Clara came to visit them. Her face looked calmer than usual.

"I want to be honest," Clara said while watching Bimo playing happily. "I finally understand, Kael. Elara will always hold a special place in your heart, and I have to accept that."

Kael was surprised by Clara's confession. "Clara, we've talked about this..."

"Wait," Clara gently interrupted. "I didn't come to start another argument. I came because I want us to be the best parents for Bimo, even if it's in our own way."

Clara's eyes glistened with tears. "All this time I've been too busy trying to replace Elara in your heart, that I forgot to be myself for Bimo."

Kael took a deep breath. "I appreciate your understanding. But what matters most now is Bimo."

Clara nodded. "I know. But let me ask one final thing... What about you and Elara?"

Kael smiled bitterly. "Elara and I... we've found a new way to love each other. Not as lovers, but as two people who shared an important history in each other's lives. She's happy with David, and I... I'm learning to accept that."

"So you still see each other?" Clara asked, without any accusatory tone.

"Sometimes," Kael answered honestly. "But now as friends. Like two sailors who once sailed on the same ship, now continuing their journeys on different vessels."

Clara nodded in understanding. "I'm glad you've found peace. And I... I will learn to accept that some loves never truly disappear, they just transform."

That meeting ended an old chapter in Kael's life. He realized that true love isn't just about possession, but about becoming a better person - for himself and for those he loves.

That night, Kael wrote in his journal: "Today I learned that letting go doesn't mean losing. Sometimes, it's the greatest victory - victory over oneself. And the most beautiful thing is when we can accept that every love has its own destiny."

Kael gazing at the night sky, his heart calm for the first time in years. He was ready to continue his journey, not as a heartbroken man, but as a father and social worker whose dedication would touch more lives.
