"So good morning students, I apologize for being late today, it wasn't my intention to do so, please don't take it to heart okay" said a lady who seems to be in her late twenties or early thirties or whatever, looks can be deceiving sometimes.
" Is not like we care whether you are super late or not we don't really mind teacher, you can take your time " a boy who is thirteen years of age said with reassuring smile.
" Of course you wouldn't mind Zeuroh, you rather have me stay at home for one week than standing here for a second "
" Teacher it's not like you think, you misunderstood me " says Zeuroh after having his thoughts seen through by the teacher
" Well my students please don't be influenced by him ok , by the way my name is Miss Tina Fatah , I am the form teacher of first year junior class B which is currently your class, which to say I am your form teacher from this moment onward and mind you I don't tolerate nonsense or laziness all I want from you is to be well discipline and hardworking and the final results will be in your favor and that reminds me you kids have not introduce yourselves to me. Common you at back let start from you . This is how we are going to it you tell us your name, where you are from and your former school and after doing so you will come forward and tell me your age and parents or guardians phone number. We are going to do it one after the other and no one is allowed to interrupt till it's your turn am I clear.
"Yes miss " chorused the students
" Hey buddy what did you think of our teacher" Zeuroh asked his closest neighbor but the only reply he get is a blank look from her but he didn't mind as he continues to elaborate like "I mean she has the making of a soldier see what she is telling us discipline, hardworking and result as if she is preparing us for a mission"
As he was busy trying to make her see where he's coming from, the poor girl was giving her the "what is this one rambling about, please don't implicate me" type of look, but little Zeuroh didn't want to give up but the cold eyes of miss Tina that locked on him makes him to realize that he was screwed and as if to prove him right miss Tina continues what she is saying " Zeuroh it looks like I don't amount to anything in your eyes right, that am not qualified to be your teacher, making you not to heed to my words. Since that's the case you will be our teacher when it is my period to teach let see how great of teacher you are " but as it was expected to see her frown when she was talking to Zeuroh or at least rash out as a someone who has been provoked she did the opposite by spotting a sweet smile couple with a soft voice that will make someone thinks that she is please d. Well the poor lamb at the receiving end have already drenched in cold sweat looking like someone who just experienced the worst nightmare of his life.
But he can't be blame because standing in the midst of class is his greatest weakness talk more of standing in front of the black board, that one is mission impossible.
Looking at her handwork with a satisfied smile miss continues with there introduction. With Zeuroh whose full name is Zeuroh Nortah and the boy she pointed at first with Mitin Hito as a name,there are total of twenty six student in her class with Zeuroh as a repeater which surprised many.
Miss Tina keep on flipping her register while looking she is looking for something no one knows about as all curious eyes were directed at her
In the meantime at the first floor of Portey Comprehensive school a boy of twelve years could be seen walking from door to looking for whatever best known to him, while holding a piece of paper with "first year junior class b " written on it. What is the boy looking for? He is looking for a sign or you can say looking for the class room he was referred to in the piece of paper. As he stopped at this particular room and realized that it has the same name with the one he is looking for , a very big smile found its way to his face but it soon disappear as he realized that all eyes were on him .
Miss Tina was flipping the register with a look of concern because what's she is seeing is not what she was expecting. There supposed to be twenty seven student in the classroom according to the name on register but one persons presence is missing. "Is it that he won't come today or is he still on the way but what is the time by the way " she asked herself as she glanced at the wrist watch at the wrist on her wrist and then confirmed it on the Wall clock at back of the classroom. " It's already 9 o'clock and the person is still not here maybe we should continue the class without him who knows whether he will come today or not ". She concluded.
" Teacher is there any trouble " one of the students asked as she noticed the concerned look on her teacher
" No my dear it's just that you guys are not yet complete. It remains one person and he is not here" miss Tina reassured them.
" Which to say we will have more boys , that's good to know at least we will have what is called 'boys advantage" Zeuroh who had been silent since remarked
" What is there to be happy about don't you know the less number of girls is trouble, there supposed to be lesser number of boys than that of plenty girls in a class room" counter's by the boy Karim whose appears to be one year younger than Zeuroh
" And come to think of it , if we has lesser number of girls and I took two to three girls beautiful ones to my self it means that the remaining brothers will have no choice but to do with remaining ones which will not be enough for us and it's not good " karim continue to voice his reason to Zeuroh who is staring at him with completely blank expression
" Ah brother Karim you are really something, you just broaden my view and you really have a huge appetite. What a good idea thank God we have less number of boys compares to girls in the first place and come to think of it, if sixty percent of the remaining ones appears to be ugly what will we do"
"Don't worry Zeuroh we will know how to share them when the time comes it's not like I am selfish after all".
" Well well well, will you look at that, birds of the same feathers Karim and Zeuroh, good good, it seems like you also think that I not worthy to be your teacher just like your partner in crime thinks right? No problem, you know what? He will do with your assistance when it comes the time for his teaching." Miss Tina was very annoyed after being interrupted by then hence she didn't hesitate to tie them up with the same punishment.
" Oh it looks like someone is looking for his brother or sister may I enquire which one among them you are looking for? " Miss Tina exclaimed in surprised as he spotted a youth wearing long pants and polo that seems like h e borrowed from his father, while holding a piece of paper in his hand.
With this question all attention was drawn to the little boy and if you take a closer look, you will notice that a bead of sweat has started making it way out of the nigga fore head and it becomes worst as the boy try to reply but no word is coming out just opening and closing mouth.
