Brief Introduction to the Realms.
This world is divided into three principal realms, each distinct in nature, power, and purpose. For foundational context, readers are advised to consult "An Introduction to Our World" by the same Council for a more comprehensive study.
1. The Light Realm/High Realm
Has the smallest population.
Led by the Light Ruler.
Saviours of the Human realm from Demon realm oppression.
Gives the human realm citizens boons, strength, and prophecies through the Divine churches set up all across the realm.
Note: Access between the Light Realm and the Human Realm is strictly limited to divine intervention or sanctioned ritual; unauthorised attempts have never succeeded.
2. The Demon Realm/Abyss Realm
Second largest population â ever expanding⌠or so the rumours say.Governed by the Demon Kings of the land.
A sprawling domain of power, savagery, and brutal hierarchy. Its people are said to thrive on conquest and deceit.
True elites rarely concern themselves with mortals, but when they do, the Human Realm suffers greatly.
Scholars continue to debate whether the Demon Realm's hunger is a natural curse â or merely the result of its ruler's insatiable pride.
3. The Human Realm /Ground Realm
Fragmented into countless kingdoms, city-states, and nomadic clans.
A place where conflict is constant, resources are scarce, and life is thrilling.
Occasionally, individuals grow strong enough to catch the attention of either realm; depending on the realm, you might get lucky...or you might not.
The Human Realm's people are devout; the majority worship the Light Realm and honour the Light Ruler through prayer and sacrifice. Temples and churches mark every border, their bells tolling for salvation and remembrance.
By contrast, the Demon Realm is despised as the ancient oppressor, the enemy that once enslaved humanity before the Great Deliverance. Though centuries have passed since that liberation, hatred of the Abyss endures in every hymn, law, and sword forged in the empire's name.
