[Sirens Blaring]
It was looking like the whole city was getting bombarded. People were running everywhere and in the middle of the chaos was a small boy lying injured and buried under the rumbles.
"Where am I? Why is everyone running?" These were the thoughts residing on the little boy's mind.
While he confused what was happening, he saw a figure whose face was not properly visible with a bright light shining behind him. He thought that the figure was a guardian. But that same figure put an evil smile and was about to stab him.
Suddenly, the man faded and the child started to hear voices. It had a low volume but after a few seconds it became clear.
"Karl wake up."
"What's Going on?"
"Wake you idiot."
Aaaahhhhh!
Karl wakes up with a scream. He was really stresses about the dream. After waking up he looks to his right, only to find out that his roommate Ken's face was filled with anger. Ken was really pissed. He starts to yell at Karl and even kicks him out of the bed. Karl frowned. Ken asks him the same question as always.
"Did you get that dream again."
Karl nodded and with a low pitch voice said yes. He was absolutely terrified by that dream even though he was dreaming about the same thing ever since he arrived at the orphanage.
Ken sighed. "Go drink some fucking water. Also we have to leave this shitty place today, so be ready by 12 pm.
"I know that, you asshole!"
Karl and Ken were both from the Saint Joseph orphanage situated in the Akon district of the country Trosia on planet Mars.
There were about 1200 orphans in the orphanage and about 700 of them were of the same age as Karl and Ken.
All the teenagers who just reached seventeen were all excited and nervous about the annual military recruitment exams taking place in four days on earth.
All the teenagers got ready and started to leave. Karl and Ken were really looking forward to it as they wanted to serve the Supreme leader of Milky Way. All the teenagers started to leave on batches. Karl and Ken were in batch 027. When their number were called they picked up their luggage and left.
While riding on a bridge, a lad about their age who looked like a noble was beating an old woman with a whip. The hearts of the teenagers of batch 027 dropped and their faces were filled with anger. Karl and Ken couldn't see this inhuman sight. Although Karl was ready to help the poor old lady, the others even Ken stopped him with their might. They were feeling bad about her, but couldn't help her because they scared of that guy. They didn't want to ruin their own lives by defying the nobles.
"The only for you to clean my shoes is by licking it. Come lick it you dirty batch!"
And he spat on her.
Looking at this and hearing the cries of the lady, Karl got so angry, he wanted to kill that guy, but he couldn't do that because if he charged at him, he could have dragged others into this mess.
He asked the driver to start moving but suddenly, out of nowhere, Ken jumped out of the vehicle and kicked that guy in the guts.
Everyone was absolutely terrified. They couldn't believe that Ken would hurt the noble.
"People like this deserve to go to hell."
His guards arrived in time and captured Ken. They tried to arrest him, but Karl came for rescue and started a fight between him and the guards.
Ken using the opportunity, broke his handcuffs and threw a few punches on the noble.
During the fight, all the others were watching cheering Karl and Ken.
The noble somehow gathered enough strength to push Ken and run away. Ken didn't want him to get away. He ran towards him and kicked him at the back. He lost control and fell from 90 feet above.
The guards and the people of batch 027 froze in shock. The guards didn't know what to do.
They Screamed and they wanted to kill Karl and Ken. But, by the time they turned their heads, both the murderers were gone.
The guards were trembling in fear because there is no way that he would survive that fall and due to their mistake, their fate was already decided.
"Are you nuts! You fucking killed him!"
"What the fuck are you gonna do when they find out about this. Are you gonna kill them too.""
"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! If this gets out, we are not going to get recruited in the military."
All the people were frightened because Ken not only raised his hand on a noble, he even killed him. Karl was also yelling at Ken for what he did, But Ken was rather relaxed let alone be worried.
"Chill guys. I altered my face. No one will find out who was I neither they will find who Karl was.
"I know but..."
"No buts, that bastard deserved it. He didn't even care if she was elderly." "Yeah. let's all forget what Ken and I did. We now have to focus on the exams."
Everyone, still angry forgave them and continued on the journey.
