Azkaban didn't have many prisoners; in fact, the wizarding world itself wasn't that large.
The prisoners occupied only a tiny fraction of the area; most of Azkaban was empty, so Cohen easily found Bella.
The woman was locked at the end of a prison corridor, her hair disheveled, pressed against the prison bars, her face pressed against the filthy metal—all to mock her neighbor, Sirius Black.
Because of the thick walls separating the cells, Bella could only verbally taunt Sirius; her grimacing gestures remained unseen.
"Hehe—what sweet dreams did my dear cousin have today?" Bella sneered maniacally. "Did he dream that Harry Potter was tortured to death? Or that the Dark Lord came to reward his most loyal servant—oh, I forgot, you're not worthy to be his servant at all, how could someone be locked up here by their own comrades—hahahahahaha—" "
Shut up."
Sirius leaned against the corner of the wall, his messy long hair covering his face, his whole body thin and bony, like a skeleton.
His cold "Shut up" had no effect whatsoever.
"Oh, no, don't hurt James…and Harry…no…" Bella repeated Sirius's nightmare in a disgusted voice, "Hahahaha! What are you trying to stop in your dream? James Potter is dead! And that Harry Potter will die too! The Dark Lord will kill them all, and only the most loyal ones like me will be rewarded!"
Bella's newfound joy attracted a Dementor—but Cohen squeezed in, so she gave the food to her new, skinny companion.
"Here's some food,"
it nudged Cohen, handing him the key like a senior mentor guiding a newcomer.
"Don't finish it, there'll be more."
Bella was truly adept at creating joy—she was the only Death Eater so insane that even locked in a dungeon every day, she could still laugh uncontrollably; it seemed that just recalling the Dark Lord could give her an orgasm.
Cohen floated towards Bella's cell in the Dementor's place.
She didn't flinch at all after seeing the Dementor approach—she was used to these monsters; they were all tests from the Dark Lord, and having endured them, she would be his most loyal servant.
After Cohen opened the cell door, she turned and made a face at him.
"Soul Strength: 39"
Unsure if she knew Occlumency, Cohen didn't plan to use Legilimency on her first move, to prevent her from becoming wary.
"Come on! You ugly thing, you filthy slut! Ha! Come kiss me! Come on, let's kiss—"
Bella waited for this thing to suck away her pleasure—or soul—all loyalty, death would prove her loyalty—only if she was willing to give her life for the Dark Lord would the Dark Lord know.
She closed her eyes, deliberately making a kissing motion—she was completely insane.
But the chilling feeling in her soul didn't come, Bella suddenly opened her eyes.
"The Dark Lord has a plan…"
Cohen said in a hoarse voice:
"The Dark Lord needs you to prove your loyalty…"
Bellatrix's eyes seemed to bulge out, and a more ferocious, more insane smile appeared on her face.
"I knew it!" she laughed hoarsely, "Hahahaha! I knew it!"
"He needs to be resurrected—he needs a loyal servant, but you're not outside, he's angry…" Cohen said step by step.
"But I'm in Azkaban—no, I'm loyal! I'm loyal! I've been searching for him all along! I'm nothing like those cowardly traitors!" Fear and tension flashed across Bella's face, as if the Dark Lord's misunderstanding was more painful to her than death. "I will help him! I will give him everything!"
"He left something with you for resurrection…" Cohen mimicked Voldemort's hissing voice, "a golden cup… He wants to retrieve it, but you haven't appeared…"
"The cup is still there!" Bella screamed. "It's safe! Master can take it anytime!"
"Gringotts' guards have become stricter, and he's weak now… He needs to gather his strength…" Cohen said, "He wants to enter Lestrange's vault…"
"After he succeeds, you will receive a reward for loyalty."
"Of course! Of course!" Bella couldn't wait to prove her loyalty. "The proof is my and Rodolph's wands! In the compartment behind the fireplace in Lestrange Manor! Resurrect him! Let him know that I am the most loyal servant!"
"What?!"
Sirius Black, who was in the cell next door, initially thought Bella was just having a fit, but when he heard her say "revive him," he realized something was wrong.
"Who's next door? Who are you talking to?!"
"Hahahaha! The Dark Lord is coming back!" Bella laughed, yelling at Sirius Black, "You coward, you never would have guessed! He won't die! He'll never die! He'll be back soon! Then all you idiots—and those lowly traitors—will all die!"
Cohen left the cell and relocked the iron gate.
[Eating More]
The Dementor that had been sharing food with Cohen returned.
"Go eat, I'm full."
Cohen returned the key to it, and it "happily" floated towards Bella's cell.
"Stop! What are you?!" Sirius Black nearly crushed himself against the iron bars of the cell, looking much like his cousin had just been. "What did you say to her?! Who sent you?!"
"You don't need to know..."
Cohen approached Sirius's cell and summoned his wand from his system inventory.
"Emptiness."
Cohen deleted this part of his memory to prevent Sirius from revealing it.
Cohen remembered that the Ministry of Magic would regularly inspect the cell, and Sirius would definitely tell everyone he'd heard about Voldemort's resurrection, and also reveal information about the Lestrange vault.
It wouldn't be a big problem, but it would make things complicated. Cohen wanted to keep the plan simple and reduce unpredictability.
There were no other prisoners in the corridor—Cohen had originally planned to eat a few souls before leaving, but looking at the pitiful Dementors who could only happily pluck tiny bits from the prisoners' brains, Cohen couldn't bring himself to do it.
His conscience had reached its peak at this moment, so he simply gave up on those few points of soul strength; he could always use them later if he really needed them.
[Goodwill Value +10]
[Note: Please, don't use your conscience for evil purposes...]
Mission accomplished! Next, it was time to return to Malfoy Manor. Lucius definitely knew where Lestrange Manor in England was.
Voldemort's identity and influence were truly useful.
