Chapter 69 - Chapter 69 – Meet Quinn

By the time the four returned to their friends, the events of the day had started. They chatted about nothing important for the day until the fighting competition started. There were three rings this time around. Unlike the last two days, the first-years were not separated from the second years. This evening promised to be interesting. In the first round were all three people that were being watched by the friends. This time Nate, Sam's friend, got something he had been looking forward to. He had been disappointed in his previous matches. He wanted an opponent that could actually put up a fight. He had been training in martial arts all his life. He wanted a challenge he could sink his teeth into. Tonight, he got selected to fight Quinn and he was stoked. He had the biggest smile on his face when the two entered ring 3. Lana was focused on ring 2 where her brother, like Quinn, was facing a second-year student.

She barely heard the beep, beep, beep as the buzzer went off indicating the match started. Her brother threw up an earth wall then an earth pillar of sorts left his hand heading toward his opponent. This pillar was rectangular, about 3 feet long, a foot in diameter. His opponent was a wind user who threw out a tornado as if he did those all day every day, with just a flick of his wrist. The pillar went off course, but the opponent threw out two more tornadoes. It was obvious who had more experience with their ability. Dobin stomped the ground and put up two more walls but the tornado ripped through them. The third tornado behind it hit Dobin and Lana screamed in pain as Dobin got hit on the shoulder having moved at just the last second. Just after he moved, before he could react, he got hit with a wind slash on the side of his leg, just below the knee. He ground-surfed as he did before to get to his opponent quickly and was met with a huge gust of wind which stopped him in his tracks. He felt the wind trying to push him back but it failed. The onslaught ended quickly and Dobin reached his opponent. He wrapped his fist in earth and threw a punch which was dodged with a roundhouse kick aimed at Dobin's head. This also missed as Dobin ducked under the swinging foot and swung his fist right into the stomach of his opponent. He then realized they were close to the edge and, bringing his back leg forward with all his strength, he push-kicked the opponent off realizing it was the only way for him to win this fight. Wind Blade, as his opponent called himself was simply faster and more skilled than he was and he wasn't going to get the chance at another lucky shot like this. "Winner, Double Trouble!"

Lana then looked to ring 3 to see it was empty and Quinn was no where on the field.

"Where did Quinn go?" she asked the others.

"He forfeited. Weren't you watching? He went back to his room for the night. We'll see him tomorrow." Vorden said.

She nodded, "Dobin won." She looked to Sam, "Does this mean Nate will fight tomorrow?"

Sam nodded and smiled. "Your brother likes to push people off the ledge there."

She nodded, "I don't think he will get away with that tomorrow."

Vorden looked at her, "You screamed, are you okay?"

She nodded, "It was just the twin connection. The farther apart we are, the less I feel it."

Vorden nodded just as the next set of fighters arrived on stage. They conducted interviews between fighters but Dobin wasn't interested in any of that so she didn't pay attention. This day Quinn left before the interview portion so it was quick with only four people to interview.

"Wait, does that mean Dobin didn't get hit in the two fights before?"

"No, it means he didn't get hard enough for me to feel it at this distance."

Vorden nodded as he got interested in the next round of fights which seemed to be lasting longer than the last round. Lana started yawning before the fighting was even done. She had to admit, though, there was some serious talent out there.

Once it was all over, the others all wanted to go to a café and talk and eat. She declined. Her body was feeling sluggish and she wanted to get some proper nutrition in her body to rejuvenate herself. She stated as much and asked if anyone wanted to come along. She saw a wink from Vorden but all the others wanted to hang out, especially with having a second-year to talk to from a different base. She returned to her room and changed into something more revealing then fed Caser. There was no place to tuck him in this outfit so he had to sit on her shoulder. Which meant holding his bottle until he was done.

However, she was able to pull out her pots and grow food using one hand. She wanted this to be the last time to grow food. Dinner tonight, two breakfasts because tomorrow was the dinner, back to base 2 on Friday night. She took about 15 minutes growing the amount she would need then put away everything she would eat in the other two meals and snacks for the two days. She had just turned around and was chopping veggies to make a stew, which on this stove would only take 15 minutes to cook, when she heard the door open and close.

Tonight, she wore a red dress that came to mid-thigh but there were slits on both sides up to her hip, the V-neck went down below her breasts, the portion covering her breasts came to a point just above her breasts and became a spaghetti strap above. This outfit also had a bare back. She had some soft music playing and was swaying softly to the beat.

Sil stood back a little and observed her. Her back side was swaying so tantalizingly. He also noticed scratch marks on her back. Some were from Caser, of course. Worried he was going to fall. Others he had put there. Plus, there were marks from the wall. He thought he recalled seeing lotion somewhere and went into the bathroom. There it was, on the sink. He opened it and smelled it then smiled.

She turned back to look at him wondering what he was up to.

He smiled, "I was just enjoying watching you." He walked up and kissed her on the neck. "You smell so wonderful. While you do that, I'm going to put lotion on your back."

She smiled, "okay." Soon the food was cooking and the timer on. Sil was still working on her back turning her into mush.

"Come lay on the bed while it cooks." He didn't wait for an answer, he lifted her and laid her on the bed on her stomach. He continued to rub the lotion gently into her back. She fell asleep. He propped the pillows up as the timer went off. He dished two bowls and set them on the night stand. He then gently rolled her over and propped her up against the pillows. He brushed the hair from her face and kissed her softly then a little harder. She woke up and returned the kiss then he backed off. He grabbed her bowl and fed her, not letting up until her bowl was empty.

She then reached for his bowl. "No thank you. I want something else right now." He started to undress and she grabbed the bowl anyway. He turned around and saw she had it but ignored it and, keeping eye contact, he slowly dropped the straps of her shoulders and down her arms. She was biting her lip. Then she took a vegetable out of the bowl and placed it on her breast.

Sil smiled broadly and went in. So went his whole bowl. Soon they were finished with their mutual pleasure. "Sil, I wanted to ask you about something." She said with drowsiness in her voice.

He nodded holding her to his chest where she belonged.

"Were you serious when you said you wanted to be friends with Quinn?"

He was startled by the question, "Of course, why would I not want to?"

"Because you haven't started establishing a friendship with him. Vorden said multiple personalities, right? Why not slowly introduce yourself to him. I was thinking about inviting him here for breakfast in the morning and you can eat with him as you. Switch of course when we get ready to leave but give him a few minutes with you where you aren't attacking him."

Sil smiled and kissed the top of her head. "okay."
