Thursday morning, Lana cleaned up the room a bit, got the kitchen cleaned since neither had the energy to do it the previous night. The sounds of the kitchen cleaning itself woke Sil. He reached over for her but the bed was empty. He was enjoying these last few days. Normally he's in the back of his mind rocking back and forth or sleeping. This girl brought him peace. He couldn't see himself without her. Of course, he still had a lot of maturing to do though he had yet to recognize it. He hated sharing her with others as much as he hated sharing Quinn. He was the reason Vorden was so mean to Layla for so long. He knew it but didn't feel guilty about it. He was on a slippery slope between caring about these two people and thinking of them as possessions. Only time would tell which way he'd go.
He lay there watching Lana pick things up from the floor, dropping the dirty clothes into the hotel's auto-washer. It was far more efficient than the ones at school though the length of time to wash clothes was still pretty quick. The school had enough washers that the students never had to wait in line to clean their clothing. The school also ensured they had models that were not big enough to stuff a person in for obvious reasons.
She finished cleaning up then noticed someone was staring at her with hungry eyes. She giggled then climbed onto the bed, crawled over to him and kissed him tenderly. "We have no time. You need to get up and get dressed."
Sil chuckled, "me?" he patted her naked bottom, "this is still quite exposed…" he then kissed her with more passion which she happily returned. Despite the maturity age, his 16-year-old body had urges and this angel in his arms was sheer perfection. Laying atop him, she kissed him a few moments longer than sat back, her smile positively glowing. "Quinn, breakfast, hair, events, dinner. We have a lot to do today. Today is also our last night to sleep together that is guaranteed. Let's get this day started so we can get back here and enjoy another night of blissful peace."
Sil groaned but he couldn't deny her being right. Why is she always right? They got in the shower and despite the desire, seeing her all soaped up, they hastily got washed. It was later than they expected it to be when they woke up.
Dressed, Vorden headed to Quinn's room. He knocked and Quinn was apparently near the door because it was answered quickly. "Lana is cooking you a steak for breakfast and is not taking no for an answer so I hope you're hungry."
Quinn shook his head and followed Vorden back to her room. He let himself in and Quinn had assumed she let Vorden borrow the key for this purpose. He didn't see Vorden pocket the key afterward.
"Good morning, thanks for breakfast. To what do I owe this honor?"
Lana smiled, already having everything prepped. Omelets, fruit and veggies for the humans, steak for the vampire. The omelets were cooking; steak went on last. "What, can't a girl just invite you over? Congratulations on your win, by the way!" She giggled. "Actually, I was talking with Sil last night and we decided something."
Quinn looked back at Vorden at the mention of Sil. His impression was Sil was a secret.
"Hey, I can't tell you how smart this girl is," Vorden said with his hands up. "She is the only other person who knows."
Lana turned around and plated the omelets on the table which was waiting for the food. She smirked at the comment.
"Vorden said you'd like to meet him and Sil wants to be friends with you. So, we have arranged this morning. Before we do this, I want you to understand Sil's trauma age is 8. Sometimes it shows. He can be outgoing when he's comfortable but warming up is slow."
Quinn nodded. He then looked at Vorden. Lana nodded and Vorden switched to Sil while Quinn's eyes were on him.
Lana spoke again, "Part of this is the fear aspect they said you displayed so we wanted you to see the change and the differences between them. I have asked that they change a few times until you feel you can tell."
Quinn nodded then Vorden switched back. Quinn noticed Sil slumped little and leaned a little. He was far more relaxed in the body than Vorden. "I think I got it. Switch back to Sil?"
Vorden did. Then Quinn nodded with more confidence. Sil then happily rushed to his spot at the table as Lana placed Quinn's steak on his plate.
"Please, sit and enjoy," Lana stated, gesturing with an open palm toward the seat. She sat opposite him with Sil in between.
Sil was smiling and eating while looking between Quinn and Lana. He could not have been happier but he was also silent. Lana slid Caser into her bra so he could eat and warm up. He'd been out for a while and she didn't want him getting cold.
Layla looked to Quinn. "I booked dinner reservations for tonight for our two groups if you're willing to accompany us. You won, Dobin won as I was expecting. I'd like to celebrate the achievements of friends. This is my treat. I have also invited Sam and Nate, if Nate gets eliminated today."
"Are you sure, that can be expensive."
Lana smiled. "We've all been through hell this year. My employer has been generous. I assure you, I can cover it."
Quinn didn't look too sure about her spending such money. That was money that could be used to buy better equipment. The idea of spending it on food just seemed ludicrous to him.
In an attempt to get Sil to engage in conversation, Lana looked to Sil. "So, Sil. How did you enjoy Quinn's fight against the Multiplier?" and she pointed to Quinn.
"I loved it but I didn't see it all. I heard it was happening when Vorden was talking to that girl. He has an amazing ability!"
Lana wanted to chuckle but held it in. She had wanted him to talk to Quinn.
Quinn decided to respond, "You have an amazing ability as well, Sil."
Sil looked at him with an even bigger smile, "Thank you, Quinn! And thank you for remembering my name this time."
Quinn responded, "You're welcome. I would have done so earlier had I understood the situation. Why is this a secret?"
With that, Sil switched back to Vorden.
Quinn looked at Lana, "What did I say?"
Lana looked at him sadly. "That's part of his trauma. He'll talk more easily with me because I shared my trauma first. I can relate to some of what he's experienced. We spend as much time together as our schedules allow. It helps us both. When we get back, my schedule is going to get quite full so we have been spending more time together here."
Quinn nodded but looked confused. "How can you afford dinner? Aren't you an orphan, to?"
Lana nodded then explained her source of income. "The thing is, though I now have a lot of it, what I plan to do in the future will use most of it up. So, yes, here I have spent a lot and will do so again tonight but once we get back, vacation is over and it will be time to get back to business. I have an idea as well for a form of armor for myself, that doesn't involve beast gear. I'm looking forward to exploring that avenue."
"What are your plans?"
"I need to keep that to myself for right now. I have not even discussed it with my team. I cannot do this alone."
With that, her watch beeped telling her it was time to meet the girls to get their hair done. Vorden said they would handle clean-up. She grabbed her bag, put fruit in then ran out the door.
