In a large room that looked so much like a lecture hall at the academy, a beautiful woman with long golden blonde hair, stood in front of a class of thirty-one students pointing towards the board to the side of her as she gracefully explained what the students needed to take away from their lesson and how to use it.
"Is that really him?" One student whispered.
"Hard to believe him of all people is really studying and paying attention to class when he was kicking up a fuss just yesterday about the lectures being boring..." Another student chimed in.
Kyle couldn't help but roll his eyes.
Attending lessons was the last thing he wanted to do when he was forcefully brought into a world he had only read about. Kyle had yet to let reality sink and accept that he was now the antagonist of the same story he had read as a man in his late twenties.
"There is one thing I need to get my head around..." Kyle rubbed his cheek as he let go of his pen. "System." Kyle muttered under breath as he waited for the screen to appear in front of him.
[Ding! Welcome Kyle Graysun.]
The female yet mechanical voice rang out in his mind and a light blue system panel appeared in front of him.

Kyle smiled lightly, although he knew was not in the right place or time to look at his newfound abilities just yet, he knew they would come in handy down the road sometime.
"Close." Kyle muttered under his breath.
[Eye of the storm hint activated!]
[Rarity: Rare]
[To gain more packages and stat points, you will need to increase your standing. Please allocate stat points into stamina.]
[To gain more skills and rank up the skills already acquired, please allocate stat points into Intelligence to learn more.]
"Interesting." Kyle muttered to himself. "Please allocate two stat points into stamina and intelligence."
[Ding!]
[Your allocation has been done. Would you like to see your stats?]
"No."
Kyle watched as the light blue screen system in front of him quickly evaporated and reality now beckoned him as two figures stood looming over him without his realization.
"Ignoring me again?" A blonde-haired girl scoffed as she tugged on the hem of her t-shirt. "You are unsufferable." She finished before giving him cold eyes.
"What is it you need?"
Kyle looked up towards the blonde beauty, noticing her delicate yet supple features, it was as if she was created by God himself.
"Kyle, I will only ask this one more time..." Kyle analysed her features, he could tell she was getting upset. "Did you have anything to do with those thugs beating up Alex yesterday?"
Kyle couldn't help but narrow his eyebrows. Putting on a cold facade in front of the opposing girl that dared to cause issues.
"I did not."
Kyle scanned the room around them, sometime while he had been focused on his system, the lecture must have ended for the day.
"And why should we believe you?" The second figure spoke out, her jet-black hair like his own stood out like a sore thumb, her purple eyes catching Kyle's attention as he couldn't help but get lost in them. "After all you always cause issues for Alex."
Kyle closed his eyes briefly.
"I did not have anything to do with it so why are you asking me about it?"
[Ding!]
[Heroine's Interest has increased by 2%!]
{Heroine's Interest has increased by 3%!]
'What the hell? I didn't even do anything to gain their interest? Why have their interest increased towards me?'
Kyle quickly stood up, frustrated by the situation he found himself in.
The screen quickly closed in front of him as he was brought back to reality, Kyle had no recollection of the two women being heroines in this story. Was there something he was missing? He thought.
"Elizabeth." Kyle's eyes looked at the blonde beauty before meeting her gaze. "I have not had anything to do with whatever happened to Alex nor do I wish to know about the details of this. I am simply trying to do my work and then leave." Kyle said with a cold tone, stunning both women.
"And you Anne." Kyle turned to the Anne. "I do not know what happened to Alex and I do not care but please do not disturb me if you do not have anything good to say." Kyle quickly walked away, not giving either Anne or Elizabeth room to bother him much longer.
Anne's mouth hung open in shock as she couldn't believe what had just occurred. Kyle's words had been a sharp contrast to the arrogant and inviting attitude that they had grown to disdain so much in the past. Anne and Elizabeth exchanged uneasy glances as the air between them was unable to comprehend what had just taken place.
Anne couldn't help but play with the edge of her sleeve as her mind continuously replayed the scene with Kyle that she had never seen before. Kyle to her had always been arrogant, deceitful and a womanizing jerk who had wanted her all for himself, and now? She had seen a whole new side of him that had blown off her attempts to confront him.
Elizabeth on the other had taken a moment longer to register what had happened, her brows furrowed as she frowned. She already had a million questions racing through her mind about Kyle's involvement with Alex being beat up and now she had a million more questions about his behaviour.
She bit her lip in frustration.
This wasn't the Kyle they had been used to, the shift in attitude and demeanour felt like they were standing in front of someone they truly didn't know or understand quite yet.
----
"Haaa... Finally done..."
Kyle couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief as he looked at the storeroom. All the boxes Kyle was told to move by the original Kyle's boss had been moved into where they should be. Without realizing it, several hours had passed since the start of the shift, at first, walking into a new environment where he the original Kyle was working had been quite daunting, but he had picked up on what was needed to be done relatively quickly.
It wasn't all flowers and rainbows though, after his heated confrontation in the class with Elizabeth and Anne, he had received a phone call from the original Kyle's boss about a shift pattern change and had too immediately come into work.
It was unexpected as he didn't remember reading about the original Kyle having a job.
'I guess this comes with the price of being someone else and living someone else's life, there was always going to be things that I didn't know.'
Kyle checked his watch and noticed that it was getting quite late at night, the time showed that it was close to 11PM. A few minutes from his shift ending.
[Ding!]
[Heroine's Favourability has increased by 2%!]
[You now have 1 new package.]
'What the hell? So, it can still go up without me doing anything? Just great...'
Kyle scratched his head in confusion, not understanding why it had been increased while he had been working.
"System Open packages."
[Package now opening!]
[8 Stat points acquired!]
[Item: Phantom's Facade acquired!]
[Luck skill: Whoopsie Wonders acquired!]
Kyle was pleased with what he had gotten, he knew he had a lot to go grow but for the first day he was pleased to already be making some significant progress, no matter how small it would be in the long term.
With the newly acquired stat points, Kyle knew he had to really think about what stat's he wanted to be improved.
With the confrontations of the heroines in the lecture, he wondered if he should try to put a significant amount of the points, he had gotten from the package into the strength stat as he was bound to face enemies sooner rather than later. Because of this, he would need all the strength he could get.
However, if he wanted to take a more methodical approach, he wondered if he should improve his intelligence stats due to not knowing what would happen once, he began allocating points. Would he instantly become smarter? Would he understand more complex issues quicker than usual?
Then there was stamina and vitality? Would he see instant impact allocating his points into these stats? Kyle couldn't help but feel like he was walking into the unknown.
Whatever Kyle picked, he knew he needed to do it soon.
