He was an ordinary man — an overworked office worker who died halfway up the stairs to his apartment, bitter and exhausted with how meaningless his life had become. But when he opened his eyes again… he wasn’t himself anymore. He had become Kyle Graysun — the notorious villain from a novel he once read. A handsome womanizer with a ruined reputation. A man fated to fall. With a mysterious [Antagonist System] awakening inside him, he’s given one rule: Change your fate… or share the villain’s end. Now trapped in a world that already despises him, he must navigate the same story he once watched unfold — but this time, he’s the one living it. Every choice alters destiny. Every word shifts the balance between redemption and destruction. As he unravels the truth behind his reincarnation and the lives he’s bound to change, one question echoes in his mind: If life gives you one last chance… will you rewrite the ending or become the villain again?

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Une dernière chance

"Hmmm..."

A young man stood Infront of a big mirror, the sun shining slightly from the reflection that the window right behind him had casted onto the mirror, although it was hard to see himself in the mirror, his appearance was that of a man who was handsome and youthful.

"I'm even quite strong." He chuckled and tensed his arms, looking at the muscles he had in the mirror.

Letting go of the hem of his sleeve he quickly wiped the smirk that was loitering on his face and chose to face reality.

He had become younger; his physical appearance was that of a teenager, his muscles were as defined as he remembered, and his face wasn't as worn out as it had come to be. He quickly looked back towards the mirror, noticing his pure jet-black hair sticking out like a sore thumb.

"I really have become him. Everything about me is much more...defined."

He briefly remembered the villain's days as a teenager and how it was spent chasing women to no end. Years of drinking and chasing women had caused him to lose track of what life really is and was. He threw his head back slightly as he let out a loud yet cold laugh the more, he thought about it.

And now he was reincarnated into a novel he had read before.

As the villain. The one who's fate is set in stone.

Kyle Graysun stood tall once again in the mirror, his tall yet fit frame stood hunched over the sink as he poured cold water over face. His diamond blue eyes sparkled in a charming manner as he was lost in thought, what was he going to do now that he had been given a second chance at life? Was he condemned to waste it this time around like he did previously?

Was he going to die like the villain he had been reincarnated into?

To the public, Kyle Graysun was a pretty boy with a poor background, his mother had abandoned him when he was old enough to think for himself, he had never known his father neither did he know anything about him in the slightest. As long as he could remember he had been fending for himself in this cold world that he had only known.

Kyle couldn't help but wonder where it all had gone wrong previously.

A once promising student with the potential be the best out of the rest had turned into a womanizing fool who had no credit to his name. The very thing that had caught up with him more than a few decades later.

"This time it has to be different." Kyle muttered under his breath. "How did I get here? How did I become him of all people?!" Kyle's voice began to get louder as he tried to figure out what was going on.

"Think..." Kyle closed his eyes.

He remembered his old memories as an office worker who had finished up his shift and after reaching his home had passed away halfway up the stairs to his bedroom after having breathing issues on the way back from work.

"What kind of shit luck is this?" Kyle rubbed his forehead in annoyance.

[Knock!] [Knock!] [Knock!]

A woman stood quietly outside of an apartment doorway, her arms crossed, and her brows furrowed as she waited patiently. Her expression was that of annoyance as she tapped her foot on the ground.

"Coming!" A voice called out

The sound of rushing around in the apartment could be heard which made the woman raise her eyebrow on what could be happening inside, although she was interested in finding out, she was more interested in something else. After all, her patience only ran so much, and she was certainly reaching the end.

Rose, Kyle's landlord stood at the front door with a pencil skirt and stocking that only showed off her glorious curves and long legs, a blue blouse that highlighted her big breasts. Rose carried herself with grace and gave off the alluring presence that would drive most men crazy.

The door quickly opened, and Rose cleared her throat as she looked up to meet the eyes of a tall figure that stood in front of her.

"I'm sorry I took so long." Kyle spoke honestly, his voice steadily as he smiled warmly. "You are here for today's rent if I remember correctly?"

Kyle took out his wallet which caught Rose off guard.

"I-Ahem! Yes." Rose couldn't remember a time before today where Kyle had remembered to pay her back. "You are due two month's rent after not paying last month." She looked at him with a stern expression.

He looked at her briefly before nodding and pulling extra out of his wallet.

"Of course, here you go." He handed her the money he had pulled out of his wallet. "Is there anything else you need?" He gave her a friendly smile and placed his wallet back into his pocket.

"Yes, please keep the noise down as other's are complaining about the amount of noise that is being made at night." She said with irritation laced in her voice.

"Of course."

Getting what she needed, Rose immediately walked away with her hips swaying as she did so, Kyle couldn't help but watch the beauty in all her glory. She was more beautiful than he had ever remembered. How had he not noticed this before?

"She truly is a beauty..." He thought as he watched her without blinking.
