Chapter 1 - Prologue

*Hhhh... hhhh...*

I opened my eyes—slightly, slowly. There, on my right and left, I saw seats. Red. Vibrant red.

As I looked around, still groggy, I realized there were rows upon rows of them. The same crimson color. My eyes weren't fully open yet, everything still blurry, and I wasn't sure where I was.

The last thing I remembered was wearing a black coat and white shirt with a red tie to match my outfit. I was heading to a job interview.

Wait...

Wasn't I going to an interview?

*Breathe... breathe...*

After looking around more carefully, I found myself in an unfamiliar place. It seemed to be... a train of some sort.

But that couldn't be right. We don't have trains in my country.

So how the hell am I on a train?

*Hhhh... hhhh... hhhh...*

Fear surged through my body. Every bone, every fiber trembled as if I'd just watched *The Conjuring* or *The Nun*—though honestly, both of those seemed fine compared to this.

For the first time in my life... I was truly terrified.

I stood up, legs shaking, and moved closer to the window to see my reflection.

*Phew.*

To be honest, I thought my face might have changed or something, but it was still the same handsome face I remembered clearly.

Dark hair. Brown eyes. Slightly big nose. Lips dry, cracked—as if I hadn't had water in months. Slightly tanned skin. Same black coat, white shirt, red tie, black pants, black shoes, white socks.

You're probably thinking, "Why is he wearing everything black?" But that's not the main issue here.

The issue is—

*Hhhh... hhhh...*

Why am I on a train?

Where the fuck am I?

And why... why the fuck am I on a train?

"Relax, Sidd. Relax."

*Huff... huff...*

After finally settling my nerves, I tried to think. I don't know much about trains, but I've watched enough movies to know one thing for certain:

If it's related to trains and train stations...

It's definitely a horror movie.

And I'm in it.

*Hhhh... hhhh... hhhh...*
