Peter was distraught.
Along the two months and a week he's been in school more and more villains appear on the scene, threatening the safety of every New Yorker and sometimes, just for the thrill of 'hunting' Spider-Man and prove themselves superior to him.
Such are the cases of three of the newest villains he has for his collection - Mysterio, Kraven the Hunter and the Beetle.
Mysterio first showed up on the docks, claiming to be a magician of some sorts with arcane powers and the blessing of the old gods to do whatever he wanted.
Peter quickly defeated him thanks to his spider-sense, that helped him realize it was no magic what he was dealing with, but illusions and cheap tricks thanks to robots and very advanced theatrical technology.
Without his spider-sense, Peter is sure Mysterio could prove to be one of his toughest villains to date. Though luck for the fishbowl-head.
Then there was Kraven, a millionaire from Russia with severe addiction to hunting. He claimed to have hunted every animal this world had to offer with his bare hands, and that Spider-Man was the next great predator he needed to kill in order to prove himself worthy.
Peter supposed that this maniac saying he was a worthy prey was something akin to a praise, so he took it with pride as he embarrassed the 'greatest hunter' time and time again. The guy would just not quit, and last time the police were supposed to take him and they didn't! Because apparently attacking Spider-Man is not jail worthy! That's bull!!
And the last one is the Beetle. A mercenary… or something… with a power suit that makes him look like a wannabe Iron Man, but less, less cool.
He, as well as Peter himself, wanted to keep his identity a secret, but thanks to Spider-Man foiling The Beatle's attempt to rob a bank he was revealed to be Abner Jenkins. A mechanic who wanted more from life.
And now he's in jail. Supposedly at least, because the jail's security sucks.
And now, just a day after Connors attacked his school Spider-Man was officially declared as a menace to the whole city.
Causing everyone to believe in JJJ because apparently he was the one that placed the middle and high school kids in danger with some nefarious evil plan of his.
The whole city hates him!
And his friends didn't answer his phone all day either… he knows that what he did is wrong, and if he could've helped it he would've never abandoned Emma or MJ like he did.
Harry and Gwen probably already know what he did and are 'rightfully' angry at him, same with Chat.
He probably made MJ and Emma cry as well…
Even aunt May was ranting angrily about how Spider-Man is such a menace and a bad influence on him, without knowing that he is Spider-Man.
Aunt May was saying how much she hates the masked vigilante, unwillingly saying she hates Peter.
He logically knows it doesn't mean that, but it still hurts.
A lot.
*Sigh* 'And now because of Connors, school's out for two weeks for repairs' Peter thought bored, with nothing better to do other than brood while he ate some takeout while sticking to the wall of a building on top of a store.
"HEY YOU! Move along pal, you're not welcome here!" Yelled someone angrily, most likely the owner of the store.
'Ugh' thought Peter annoyed as he threw his trash without a care, and started to crawl up the building.
When suddenly.
'Spider-sense!' "YOW!" Yelled Peter in pain as he felt burnt. Turning around he saw the smug and lit on fire face of Johnny Storm, more famously known as The Human Torch.
"Great reflexes webs! Superhuman level speed and agility for sure" yelled the literal hot headed teen.
"The human torch?!" Spider-Man asked, baffled "what was that for?!"
"But is he as strong as they say too, flame-brain?" Said a voice booming from the sky.
"Oh no" muttered Spider-Man as he saw The Thing falling straight towards him from the Fantasti-Car.
"Cuz if he is, then it's a job for the ever loving, blue eyed Thing!" Exclaimed the orange man as he was about to stomp the ground Spider-Man just left with a jump.
"Easy Ben *WAKOOM!* the idea is to restrain him, not turn the boy into a corpuscular hamburger" Said Mr. Fantastic as he tried to trap the hero with his elongated arms unsuccessfully as The Thing made the ground shake under his weight.
"Great, now the Fantastic Four's after me?!" Asked an exasperated Spider-Man as he dodged Mr. Fantastic's arms.
Peter knew this was just a matter of time really. He knew he couldn't run around a city with other superheroes while being considered a public menace and then not doing anything about him eventually.
But damn does this suck…
"Come on Reed, must it always have to be the lady the one who gets the job done?" Asked Susan storm with a teasing voice as she formed an invincible barrier in front of Spider-Man.
"Ow! I hate force fields…" muttered Spider-Man in pain with his face against the field.
Reed takes this opportunity to close the distance with the red and blue menace as he places a collar on him with a loud *CLICK*.
"Sorry, friend. But this city thinks you're a menace, and until we can prove you are or you are not, that collar will remain with you, leaving you powerless and with the strength of a regular teen" Reed explained seriously as Peter tried as hard as he could to remove it.
Peter could notice how his powers were gone, but not entirely. Apparently even Dr. Reed Richards could get it wrong once in a while. In microseconds, Peter could notice that while yes, the inhibitor worked for his powers, his body has already changed to the molecular level and nothing could alter that.
He felt weak, but still stronger than he was before the bite; his eyes stopped working as greatly as they did, but he could still see without his glasses and through his lenses; and most important of all, he still had his spider-sense.
Sense that was shouting at him right now.
*NFF!* "You're gonna regret this, Dr. Richards!" Spider-Man exclaimed while kneeling, still trying to get the collar off him.
"Yeah? Says who, sticky buns?" Asked The Thing with disinterest at the poor excuse of a threat while crossing his arms.
"Says them!" Yelled Peter as he pointed to some of the villains of his rogue gallery, promptling the entire super family to also face the incoming threat.
Four of his most difficult villains decided that today was a good day to partner up and attack the web head.
The villains had occasionally teamed up before, but always in pairs, never four of them at the same time.
And now here he has The Vulture, Mysterio, The Beetle and Sandman running towards his depowered self and the Fantastic Four.
The Thing immediately chose to fight the Sandman, initiating the conflict himself.
"Yo, irresistible force! Meet an immovable object!" said Ben as he started running at his opponent.
"What are ya' yammering about?" Questioned Flint as he turned his fist into a hammer.
"It's a classic paradox, ya' uneducated…" and then threw the guy a mighty punch at the man's stomach with a loud *SSSSTTT*
The Thing looked confused at the way his fist sank in the Sandman's body, not making even a speck of damage to the man, who smirked smugly as a response.
….
Johnny Storm meanwhile was in a dogfight with the vulture up in the sky.
"Yo! A dude your age should never be wearing an outfit that tight!" Quipped Johnny as he shot a fireball at the older man.
"I ain't that old kid, don't let the dome confuse you! Plus, I doubt you'll even get to see what you look like at my age!" The Vulture screamed as he closed the distance with the teen and attempted to stab the teen with his wings.
"Whoa!" But luckily Johnny was a bit faster, narrowly avoiding being impaled by the sword-like feathers.
"Stay still, brat!" Yelled Adrian as he flew after Johnny.
….
"Mysterio, someone with your ability to create this level of technology should not be pursuing evil! This could be used for the advancement of science!" Yelled Reed as he avoided four serpent like robots.
"Not everything is about science, doctor. This little diversion of our creation is solely for the exquisite purpose of revenge!" Mysterio talked theatrically as he commanded his robots with his gloves.
"Diversion?" Asked Sue Storm as she listened in the conversation as she was guarding herself against The Beetle's many weapons.
….
*YYAAAAAAHHH* yelled The Thing as he was sent flying through the sky, much to Peter's dismay.
… if he wasn't in so much danger, perhaps he would've laughed at the sight, but right now the Amazing Spider-Man feels like a sitting duck, only being able to watch from afar how his villains made fools of one of the most loved superhero teams in the world.
…well there's only two teams right now, but still - the point stands.
He was wondering what he could possibly do, when suddenly his spider-sense tingled again, warning him of something coming from the back.
"Wh-who-?!" Peter was not able to dodge it, and was suddenly under a net at the mercy of Kraven the Hunter, who instead of charging directly like the other four, decided to be sneaky and catch Spider-Man by surprise.
Something almost impossible to do, but not anymore thanks to the power dampener; even if it didn't work against his spider-sense, he no longer had the means to avoid the incoming attack.
"It does not bring me joy to have to retort to such tactics as to partner up with those freaks, but if it allows me to continue my hunt then so be it" Karven talked in his heavy accent as he grabbed the hero and tossed him, accidentally helping Spider-Man to free himself from the net with a half assed front flip.
He may have the power damper, but his body still remembers how to move.
Unfortunately for him, his strength was no longer enough for him to be able to press his web shooters, who required a certain amount of super strength to activate.
He could no longer fight as Spider-Man, so he did the next best thing.
He fought as Peter Parker.
Peter ran away from Kraven until he reached a manhole cover a block away that was free from some repairs done to the street.
"Now, now Spider-Man, why don't you at least put up a fight? That way I can proudly wear your skin and place your head on my wall!" Peter went down and was followed by Kraven, who began taunting him.
"Running away from me… only makes the hunt more fun for me. ME! Sergei Kravinoff! The world's greatest hunter!" Kraven started rambling as he walked through the sewers "He who has killed every beast all over the world! He who has bested them all with his bare hands! HE WHO WILL SLAY YOU!"
"…" Peter felt a shiver run down his spine as Kraven said that last part. His spider-sense buzzing in his head in a way that he has never felt before.
His sense usually warned him of immediate danger. But this felt… like a promise. Like something that will happen… someday.
The thought and feeling made Peter sick to his stomach, but he couldn't let out a single sound.
"It will happen, Spider. I know you feel it too - somewhere deep within you" Kraven started muttering down low, but still down enough for Peter to hear him from his hiding spot "your fate… it's in my hands. Kraven the Hunter is destined to slay Spider-Man".
Peter tried hard, perhaps the hardest he's ever done to not make a sound. No matter how much his stomach churned or his heart sank at the words of the man.
"…" but he resisted and made no sound.
"You are a smart prey, bringing me down here… but I already have your smell, Spider-Man. Even amongst this stench - I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE!" Yelled Kraven as he threw his spear.
Peter tried not to make a sound even with how scared and repulsed he was, resolve that was tested when Kraven threw his spear inches away from his face with a loud *THUNK*.
Luckily, just then a mouse decided to splash in the water, making the Hunter turn around in search of the source.
'Now!' Peter tore the spear from the wall and waited for the right moment to strike at Kraven's nape, managing to control himself just enough to knock him down.
Which he succeeded in doing.
That was a feat in itself for Peter since he was used to his super-strength and the amount of it that he needed to use in order to avoid the kill or even injure someone gravely.
But now, with this power-dampener, Peter has to adjust his strength input on the fly, with no real way to know if he was going to permanently damage the Kraven or not.
So Peter sighed in relief when he kneeled next to the older man and heard him breath, feeling his heart beating heavily against his rib cage in fear of any mistake he could've made.
Peter swore to never kill, under any circumstance, so he took a moment to take deep breaths and calm himself.
*BOOM* *SMASH* *SWOOSH*
Peter could hear the fight still raging on outside, so he knew he needed to help.
'Okay, I might not be able to take this thing off without Dr. Richards' DNA code… but my best guess is that it transmits a signal to my spinal cord that affects my motor neurons… if I could manipulate it in some way…' Peter theorized to himself as he started tinkering on the collar with Kraven's spear.
————
Outside the Fantastic Four were having a rough time, never would they have thought that Spider-Man's villains could prove to be so much of a threat.
Everyone was losing their battles against their designated villain.
"Quit playing down there boulder butt! I need help!" Shouted Johnny as The Vulture started getting some good hits on him after figuring how to damage the hot headed teen without getting himself burnt.
"Ya' think ya' have problems?! Ah'm gonna have sand in all kinda' places for weeks!" Complained the blue eyed Thing as Sandman was having fun burying him alive slowly.
That is, until Spider-Man came to the rescue, jumping high in a fraction of a second and kicking The Vulture straight on the jaw.
*ARGH* "What the-?!" But Adrian was unable to continue because Spider-Man quickly webbed one of his talons and slammed him hard against the concrete floor.
"Thanks! Err… Spider-Man?" Asked a confused Human Torch as Spider-Man quickly got rid of his adversary.
"…Heads up Ben!" Seeing no point in getting confused by an unexpected ally in the middle of a battle, Johnny yelled towards his friend.
*FLWOOSH*
At Johnny's scream, both older men turned towards the sky, where a barrage of fire impacted directly on Flint's face.
Sandman couldn't even complain about having his face turned into glass thanks to the heat, when Ben finally asserted a solid hit on his now crystalline face.
*CRRSSSHH* Sounded the glass jaw against the rocky fist.
"Yer right, you guys are tough… but we're a family, and there's nothing tougher than that!" Yelled The Thing as he finally managed to defeat the villain.
"Have no fear…!" Peter then went and helped in taking down The Beetle by webbing his jet pack and throwing him against a wall, only to stomp him hard on the ground and tear apart his power suit with his bare hands before Jenkins even knew what was happening.
"…because your all-new suped-up Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is here!" Mysterio's robots that were holding Reed by the arms didn't fare any better against the Arachnid, because they were easily crushed under the hero's feet after he jumped from The Beetle to Reed's position.
"With more speed, and strength!" Shouted Spider-Man about to deliver a powerful punch to the illusionist.
"No! No! No! Wait! Wai-" but Quentin's plea landed on deaf ears, because the only answer he got was Spider-Man's fist destroying his fish-bowl helmet with a loud *KRASH*.
"I don't get it, he still has the collar on! He must've hacked it; reversed the transmissions! But he'd have to be a scientific genius to do that!" Exclaimed Mr. Fantastic with his mouth wide open and fascinated at the prospect.
"Close your mouth, Reed darling, before you drool all over yourself" Teased Sue, very amused as she did so for her husband, also looking impressed at the young hero that helped them.
After defeating the villains, Peter saw from the corner of his eye how the Vulture flew away thanks to his wings. And frowned heavily at that.
He doesn't particularly dislike Adrian, but he should be focusing on rehabilitation for his family instead of pursuing a vendetta against him for ruining his black market weapon business.
Peter was busy watching the green man fly away, so he didn't notice when Reed Richards got behind him and quickly took the collar off him.
"…what's this?" Asked Spider-Man, slightly on edge and wondering why his spider-sense didn't warn him of the man getting close to him.
"Well, after today's encounter with some of your colorful enemies, I think it's safe to say that if you were the menace the city claims you to be, the city would be in a much worse state" Said the older man with some humor in his voice, but with 100% certainty of his words.
His family is powerful, he knows that, he's tested each one and has seen their potential with numbers. And they have just been made fools of by men this teen fights almost weekly.
And he does so alone!
And not only is Spider-Man strong, incredibly so; he's also a genius! He hacked his technology within minutes of having it attached to his neck, that's crazy! Reed would much rather have him as an ally than a foe, that's for sure.
"Well, you're the genius dude, you should know better than to trust the news" Spider-Man said as he relaxed his stance, making the other three approaching members laugh and Reed chuckle awkwardly.
"Hehe, yeah I guess" said Reed ashamed as Sue giggled way harder than necessary.
"Aww man, we were great out there, don't you think?! Asked Johnny excitedly as he half hugged Spider-Man through the shoulder with one arm.
Johnny was very excited to have another super of his age be one of the good guys, everyone else was just so old it made him feel somewhat lonely.
But Spider-Man just proved to be one of the good guys, like him! Oh yeah, Johnny can see it now; 'The Human Torch and his sidekick Spider-Man, superpowered friends and crime fighting duo'.
Now, doesn't that have a nice ring to it?
"We? Dude, you were getting your ass handed to you by that geezer" Peter mocked Johnny with a snort, making the three adults laugh once again and Johnny shove him playfully.
"Hey, it's my first time fighting the guy! And at least I didn't crash a plane to defeat him" quipped Johnny as he remembers watching that little incident on the news.
"That's because you didn't defeat him, flame brain. You had yours truly to save your charred butt" Spider-Man quipped back, smiling brightly at the fact that someone is FINALLY joking back with him.
"Oh okay, just know that when I save you, I'm going to throw a party for that" Johnny replied somewhat petty, but still with a smirk on his mouth.
The three adults smiled, especially Sue, seeing the two teens banter. Feeling happy to see her brother talking happily with someone his age.
"Well Spider-Man, I guess proper introductions are in order. I'm Dr. Sue Storm-Richards, now known as the Invisible Woman" Said Sue as she grabbed her brother by the shoulder and pulled him towards her, making the four huddle up before Spider-Man. And with a kind smile she finished saying "but you can call me Sue!"
"I'm the ever lovin' blue eyed Thing. But ya' can call me Ben, web-head" said The Thing as he motioned to himself with his huge Thumb.
"You obviously already know me, webs! You can just call me Johnny instead of the Human Torch!" Exclaimed proudly the blond teen.
"And I am Mr. Fantastic, or Dr. R-" Reed was about to present himself with his hand outstretched for Peter to shake. Which the teen did, perhaps a bit too enthusiastically.
"Dr. Reed Richards, of course! I'm a huge fan! I've read every online article I could find on your research on parallel universes and your extra-dimensional theories!" Peter rambled on quickly as he shook Reed's hand rapidly, not noticing how Ben and Johnny snickered behind Reed.
"Oh great, another nerd" fake groaned Johnny as he held his laughter with Ben at the clearly excited Spider-Man.
"Hey! Be nice" scolded Sue as she sent both a menacing glare.
"Oh, hehe. Sorry" muttered Spider-Man ashamed as he released Reed and scratched his nape with the same hand 'God, that was lame'.
"Don't worry Spider-Man. It's great to see young men interested in science. And speaking of which, just how did you tamper with the collar to reverse its function?" Reed questioned as he stretched his neck far too close to Peter's comfort.
'Eww, that's nasty' Peter thought shamelessly as he saw how weird Dr. Richards looks with his neck stretched like that. Never would he have thought that it would be so uncanny up close.
"Reed! Before questioning him about any of that, isn't there something you might want to tell him?" Sue scolded with a raised eyebrow and her arms crossed, also shooting him her glare.
"Uhm…" Reed unstretched his neck and rubbed his chin deep on thought "no, I don't think so" replied Reed seriously after some seconds.
"Ugh, smartest man alive he says" muttered Sue as she walked past her husband in the direction of the teen who was also lost by what she meant.
"Spider-Man, me and my family would like to apologize for what we did" she started talking softly and genuinely.
"Oh, n-no, you don't have to-" Spider-Man tried stopping her, but was unsuccessful.
"Of course we have to! We could've convinced you some other way to come with us or we could've been smarter than to trust the news. But instead we stripped you of your powers and placed you in very real danger because of your villains!" Sue said with a heavy heart as all her family started looking ashamed.
'…my villains?' But Peter, trying to distract himself from hearing an apology started pondering on that; statement that has already been said twice.
Sure, he may have fought them first and many have vendettas against him. But really only Kraven has targeted Spider-Man so far.
All the others are robbers, mercenaries and muscle for underground gangs that affect everyone in New York equally.
'No, they aren't my villains. They are the city's villains… right?' Peter asked himself 'it's stupid to think of them as my villains. Later no one else is going to fight them because they're supposedly mine to deal with or something. Yeah, that's dumb. Ms. Sue just made a mistake…'
"So Spider-Man, we're really sorry" Sue said, snapping Peter out of his thoughts by that word he hates so much.
But he knew it was an honest mistake… a very stupid one, but a mistake nonetheless. So he counted to 5 in his head while the other three muttered some apologies to try and calm himself before they could notice something was wrong with him.
*Deep breath* "Aww shucks guys, you really don't have to say all that and apologize. It was just an honest mistake, right? Plus it's not like I can blame you - if I were you and I saw all those news about me, I'd also doubt me" Spider-Man said with an easy tone and what was most likely a smile behind his mask "it's just that I'm called 'a menace' so regularly that I'm used to it".
That comment made everyone frown. The boy just helped them and wasn't even angry at them for what they just did; it seemed wrong that he was treated like he was.
"But why?" Asked Reed, not understanding the reasoning behind the media defaming the young hero.
"Hmm, I'm actually not entirely sure. Though I suspect it's because of the mask" Peter said as he stretched the mask part of his nose a little bit "Guess not knowing the face behind the vigilante is what makes some people nervous".
"So why don't ya' take it off? Boom, problem solved" said Johnny easily, finding no problem with his plan.
"Nah, it's not so easy as just doing that" Spider-Man replied seriously, making Reed and Sue notice how he most likely has pondered on this.
"Why? Yer ugly under that spandex or somethin'? Asked The Thing with genuine curiosity. He's no stranger to being criticized by looks after all.
*Chuckle* "On the contrary, my rocky friend. Grandmas always say how handsome I am" Peter quipped, making Ben and Johnny snicker lightly.
"Then?" Sue encouraged Spider-Man to say the reason behind his secret identity.
"Well… it's because if I let the world know who I am, then villains like those back there might target my family and friends" Spider-Man explained easily.
It's something that's been plaguing his mind ever since he decided to become who he is, but he always ends up keeping the secret close to his heart.
He can't tell his friends, he can't tell May and he can never let any of the men who want him dead know who's behind the mask.
No matter how much he wants to.
"So what? Yer sayin' we don't care about our family because we're public?" Questions Ben with a glare that Johnny matched.
"N-no that's not what I mean!" Spider-Man yelled, anxious in getting his point across "it's just… they didn't choose to be in this life, and they got no powers to defend themselves if anyone ever wanted to pay them a visit, y'know?"
Everyone nodded as they understood what the young hero was saying, even though all their loved ones were each other, they understood what kind of problems being a superhero must bring a normal boy.
"But don't ya care what tacky mustache and the others say about you?" Asked Ben again, curious about how he took criticism.
The Thing is an expert in handling it, since ever he got his 'condition' he's been called all types of nasty things, but with the help of his family he managed to overcome his insecurities.
"Well, I would be lying if I said that they don't hurt me once in a while… but I don't do what I do for fame or anything like that. I have this great power on me, and with great power there must also come great responsibility. I have the duty to help out however I can, and well, this is the 'how' for me" Said Peter as he gazed towards the sky, reminiscing about the words of his uncle Ben.
"Those are some wise and admirable words Spider-Man" praised Mr. Fantastic with a smile, liking the boy better and better with each passing second.
"Aww you're such a good boy" cooed Sue as she enveloped Spider-Man in a tight hug, making all kinds of alarms go off in Johnny's head.
"O-oh, uhm, t-thanks" replied Peter bashfully as he nervously hugged the Invisible Woman back. Nervous at the fact that he was hugging one of the most famous and beautiful women in the entire world.
"Wow, wow, wow. Dude, that's my sister, don't go falling for her now! She's also like, what? 9 or 10 years older than you" Said Johnny sternly in full jealous brother mode as he stepped in between the two.
"W-what? I'm not, I-I mean I just met her and uhm-" Peter started stammering nervously at the accusation.
But he was luckily saved by Sue's snort and laughter as she tried to calm Johnny down.
"Don't worry about it Spidey, he just gets all weird like that sometimes. You should've seen him when I got pregnant" Sue laughed as she remembered how distraught her brother was.
"T-that's right, you had a baby with Dr. Richards huh? So uhm, congratulations to you both!" Peter congratulated the happy couple, still a little baffled that the 20 and something year old Susan Storm married the greatest mind alive that was around 10 years older than her and gave birth at such a young age.
"Thanks!" Both parents accepted the congratulations with happy smiles, and they all started talking about how wild and weird Peter's villains are, while he laughed and thanked them for helping him out.
Everything was nice, at least until some police-men finally arrived at the scene, aiming their guns at Spider-Man while the teen was chatting almost casually with The Fantastic Four in the middle of the street.
"Spider-Man! Put your hands in the air and surrender quietly!" Yelled the older of the two cops that arrived.
"You gotta be kidding me" groaned Spider-Man loud enough for the family to hear, which caused all four to at the police men angrily.
He may be a superhero, but he's still just a teen that did nothing to warrant this treatment!
Ben Grimm decided to step in for his new little friend, and placed himself in front of the two officers and started walking towards them.
"Uhm, M-Mr. Thing? You're in the way of the menace" said confused the younger officer as he lowered his gun slightly.
"Ya' mean web-head? He ain't the menace the news claims he is, y'know" Said The Thing now in front of the two nervous officers with crossed arms.
The two officers looked at each other, not knowing what to do or say in that situation. They obviously wouldn't want to make someone that fought the Hulk and walked away almost without a scratch angry.
"You know something officers, you can let everyone know that Spider-Man is now an honorary member of the Fantastic Four from this moment on" Said Mr. Fantastic happily.
"W-wait, really?! You'd want me on your team as an honorary member?!" Peter asked excitedly. Never would he have thought that his awful day with literally everyone hating him would lead to being offered a spot on one of the hero teams in the city.
"That is of course if you want a spot, Spidey" Said Sue with amusement at the youngster's reaction.
"O-of course I do! I-I would be honored!" Exclaimed Spider-Man excitedly, making the Fantastic Four give him soft smiles.
Except Johnny who had an excited one on his face as he grabbed Spider-Man by the shoulder again, telling him how cool it is to meet someone his age with powers and now to be on the same side.
Feeling shared heavily by Peter.
"Reed, honey?" Said Sue as she stood besides her husband.
"Yes?" Asked Reed.
"We should get going now, you know I love HERBIE, but I don't like him being Franklin's only caretaker, especially at his age" Sue reminded her husband of her son, who they love very much.
But it's also true that while Reed Richards is the smartest man on earth, he can be a bit of an airhead when it comes to his son; usually because he's stuck in his lab and leaves all the parenting to her.
Sue is starting to get annoyed by that fact, but still understands that Reed has a duty to science and the world. All while knowing that he adores Franklin just as much as she does.
It's just hard on her sometimes.
"Oh uh, yes of course. Spider-Man, would you be willing to come with us to the Baxter building? I would like to understand your powers, with your permission of course" Reed agreed with his wife, but extended the invitation to Spider-Man.
"Reed!" Admonished Sue at her husband for wanting to treat their newest 'member' as a lab rat.
She also would have appreciated it if he would've spent this free afternoon with their son together with her.
"That's a great idea! I can also show you around and - oh man, you're gonna love my car collection" Said Johnny thrilled by the idea.
"Are you even old enough to drive, dude?" Spider-Man asked Johnny with a raised eyebrow, causing Sue to hold in a snicker from her brother who looked offended.
"I'm 16, of course I am. Plus, if I'm old enough to set myself on fire and fly, I'm old enough to do basically whatever I want" Johnny answered proudly.
*Scoff* "You wish" muttered Sue after Johnny's words.
"Heh, it wouldn't be so bad to test how strong y'are" said The Thing with a smirk, always loving the competition.
"Guys, give him some space!" Sue scolded with her motherly tone that increased after Franklin's birth.
"Uhm, it's okay Dr. Storm. I'd actually like to know more about my powers and see if there's anything wrong with me. I wasn't born with these powers, so I don't know how much my body changed" Spider-Man said almost shyly at Sue's glare. Even if she wasn't shooting it his way, it's still surprisingly impactful.
"Really? How did you get yours? We got it from cosmic radiation in this super cool space trip we had" Johnny asked with curiosity shared by everyone while also bragging about his adventure.
"A spider bit me" Peter replied easily, almost laughing at the deadpan expressions on everyone's faces.
"…"
"Oh, yer not joking!" Said The Thing after some seconds passed where everyone was quiet, expecting the young hero to say 'Sike!' And tell the truth.
"So your body changed after a spider bite? Sue, we definitely need to know how" Reed said seriously as he turned to see his wife.
Wife that was able to see sparkling and curious eyes behind his serious gaze.
"Yeah, c'mon sis. I wanna see Spidey's reaction to my car collection!" Johnny said excitedly as he turned to face his sister with puppy dog eyes.
"I also need to see just how strong the little dude here fares against real strength, Suzie" Said Ben as he flexed his rocky arm, also with a glint in his blue eyes.
*Sigh* "Okay, all right. You boys win" Sue sighed and then agreed as everyone gave her a puppy eyes dog look, even Spider-Man who still had his mask on.
Everyone cheered on their own way as they called for the Fantasti-car, who had no room for Spidey. But Johnny quickly found the solution by challenging Spider-Man to a race all the way to the building, and he accepted but with the condition that they both had to stay under building level.
"Oh you're on, but not as much as me! Flames on!" Yelled Johnny as he ignited himself as started flying.
"Hey no fair!" Yelled back Spider-Man as he did a mighty jump and followed after his new friend with a huge smile under his mask.
"Kids this day" said Sue while slightly shaking her head with a fun smirk on her face, glad to see Johnny interact with someone his age who understood him somewhat.
The rest of the team followed after the duo until they reached their home.

"You cheated!" The three adults of The Fantastic Four heard Johnny scream as they parked in their launching pad.
"Just admit you have the speed of a motorized granny, there's no shame in that" Spider-Man replied in mock seriousness.
"I'm as fast as a damn rocket!" Johnny answered prettily as he crossed his arms and huffed.
"You know, denial is the first step to-" Spider-Man tried talking in the same tone, but was interrupted by Johnny.
"Oh, can it!" Johnny shouted.
"Johnny, did you really lose the race?" Reed asks with his eyes wide at the information. He knows that Johnny can reach a speed up to 140 m/ph, and that's with him not even straining himself.
So to hear that Spider-Man defeated him spoke levels of the young vigilante once again.
"Just because I had to stay below the skyline!" Johnny justified himself "I was so slow! And there's so many buildings in the way towards here, it's insane! I couldn't pick up speed above… I don't know - 25 miles?!"
"Sounds like a skill issue to me" Spider-Man muttered as he looked away from the glare Johnny shot him.
"Oh, you wanna go again, webs?! I'll race you one lap to Staten Island and see how you like them apples after!" Johnny exclaimed as his body started to smoke, shooting Spider-Man a challenging look.
Although Sue could see beyond that.
She can notice that her brother is happy.
Happy to finally have someone other than his family to share this exciting life with. He looks excited to race Spider-Man again, and despite talking like he is annoyed, he is enjoying himself immensely.
Perhaps this is the first time in months that he is truly enjoying himself as a regular teen should. As regular as he can with their changed lives at least.
And because of that, Sue can't help herself but smile softly at her little brother, who, in some part, was robbed of having a chance of having a normal life.
If given the choice though, Sue is almost certain that Johnny would still prefer this life over a boring and mundane one.
Still, it would've been nice if he had a choice.
If any of them had.
"Don't listen to 'im, web-head. Flame-brain is just a sore loosa' " Sue was brought out of her thoughts when Ben placed a hand on Peter's shoulder and pretended to whisper that loudly enough for everyone to hear.
"Yeah, I kinda noticed" Spider-Man whispered back, making the duo laugh quietly at Johnny's pout.
"Well, you boys enjoy yourselves. I'm going to check on Franklin" Sue said with a satisfied smile towards the three boys, and the last part to Reed with a kiss on his cheek.
"Of course" Reed answered back to the now retreating Invisible Woman, to then turn his attention back to the trio "I'll go set up the things in my lab to make the proper tests for you Spider-Man. I'll call for you until then".
"Uh, sure" answered Spider-Man with a little uncertainty of what to do until then.
"Don't worry Stretch-o, we'll keep our little guest entertained until then" Ben nodded to his friend.
"Thanks" Reed said with a nod as he also left the trio behind.
"Okay kid, where should we take him first?" Ben asked Johnny with a grin, already expecting the boy's awe at all their toys.
"Is that even a question? Let's go to the garage first!" Johnny said excitedly as he started heading into the building, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Well, ya' heard him" Ben told Spider-Man with a mock sigh as he also started walking into the building, closely followed by Spider-Man.
Ben and Johnny took that time to give the masked hero a very thorough tour through their building, going from the garage with Johnny's car collection, impressive for any 16 year old; to show him their rocket, gym, hangar bay, dining room and everything but the places where sensitive information or any weapon is stored, also their living quarters were off limits for Spider-Man.
And he could very well understand why, he was the newest 'honorary' member, but he just met them, and trust takes time. In the same spirit, Peter never took off his mask or revealed his real name to both men, which they both also understood.
————-
"Stop it with that damn' blue shell!" Ben yelled as his car was hit by one of the boys yet again.
The three of them were now in the living room, playing some Mario kart until Spider-Man was called away.
"Hey! How are you guys so good?" Spider-Man asked with frustration as he ended in last place again by a large margin, with Johnny in first place.
"Ha! There, I finally beat you!" Johnny celebrated as he jumped from his seat.
"Yeah, now we just need to win against him who is beating us both 6 to 1" Spider-Man groaned as he motioned to a satisfied looking rock man.
"What can Ah' say, webs? Ah' like any kinda' games" Ben replied with a rough and dry laugh, appropriate for his appearance "speaking' of, ya' don't fancy playin' poker?"
"Oh, uh-" before Spider-Man could reply, the speaker started talking, interrupting the masked hero.
"Spider-Man, Dr. Richards has requested your presence in the main lab".
"Woah, was that your robot assistant?" Spider-Man asked in awe at the voice. Knowing beforehand from different news outlets that The Fantastic Four and their futuristic robot.
"You know it! HERBIE is great, you'll meet him later" Johnny said happily as he released his control "come on, I'll take you to the 'nerd's nest' ".
"Have fun" Ben dismissed as both teens exited the living room and kept playing by himself on his specialized controller.
————-
"Here you go, Spidey" Johnny said as he stepped in front of a hissing massive door.
"Sweet. Are you going to stick around?" Spider-Man asked his new friend, hopeful to see if, despite the teasing before, he is also a science guy.
"You're kidding, right?" Johnny scoffed "I have better things to do than see you two nerds play with numbers and whatnot".
"Well, there's no need to be rude" Reed said as he made himself known by stretching his neck from his seat all the way to the door.
"Oh damn!" Peter said a little bit startled by the floating, talking head, with it's only support being what Peter quickly assumed it's his neck.
*Chuckle* "My apologies, Spider-Man. I didn't mean to startle you or anything" Reed said in good humor, now walking the rest of his body to the teen.
He knows that his stretchy body might be a little creepy to the people that are not used to seeing it in person, so he didn't feel offended or anything.
"Oh no, please excuse me. I-I didn't mean to-" *GASP* Spider-Man started talking, when all of a sudden his attention snapped towards something in Reed's lab "is that a miniaturized version of the 'Large Hadron Collider'?!"
"It sure is!" Reed exclaimed proudly as he started walking towards it "I managed to reduce its massive size while improving its overall efficiency. It's with it that I managed to make the unstable molecule suits we wear!".
"Woah, to make a synthetic material based purely on atomic nuclei and electrons to make clothes adaptable to energized matter" Peter mutters as he looks over the small sized collider "that's really impressive!"
"You like it? Wait until I show you my high holographic work table. With it, I can create anything I want and it'll show me the rate of success of that invention with 99.98% precision of being the same if built physically". Reed explained as he quickly moved to another part of the lab.
"So that means you can improve on inventions you have on your head without wasting materials!" Spider-Man said, easily understanding the use of the table "god, that's so useful!"
'I could've saved hundreds of bucks if I had this thing!' Peter thinks in awe and frustration while remembering all his failed attempts before constructing the final form of his gadgets.
"It is!" Reed exclaimed happily "hey, you want to see some of my rough sketches I have? Maybe put your input in them?"
"R-really?!" Spider-Man asked excitedly.
"Of course!" Reed answered as he turned the table on, causing the blue light of the holograms to flood the entire lab.
Reed was excited and curious to see just how smart Spider-Man could possibly really be, so he's going to use this as a harmless test for the younger man.
Plus, it honestly sounds like fun.
"I-I'd be honored!" Spider-Man answered as he looked at all the holograms now surrounding him with their bright blue coloring.
"…" Johnny, watching all of this from the door, just stood there almost awkwardly with a deadpan expression. He felt a little left out, so he stayed to see if at any moment they'd do something fun.
Instead both men started talking almost gibberish to him while grabbing and looking over a hologram of what looked to him like a toaster.
"…nerds" scoffed Johnny as he finally left to do something, anything really, worth his time and entertainment.
————
"And with this heat ray, I would've dispersed Sandman's molecules to defeat him!" Peter said proudly as he showed his own holographic invention on something he actually did build sometime ago. A hair dryer like-gun in design.
"Hmm. First of all, I'm really impressed you managed to build a heat ray with things you had on your home" Reed said sincerely as he looked over the little gun "but doesn't Sandman control his every molecule? Wouldn't he reform right away after being blasted with this?"
*Sigh* "Yeah, I figured that out after I built it" Spider-Man said, a little dejected "Still, it's pretty cool, right?"
"Definitely" Reed assured with a smile "I'm sure you'll find another use for such an invention".
"Thanks!" Spider-Man replied as Reed deleted any info on the beam or any other of the inventions of the younger man, which included his web-shooters but not the webbing formula, so that they wouldn't get mixed with his own.
Not because they are not good or anything like that; quite the opposite actually, but because Reed wouldn't want to take credit for something someone else invented in case he sold one of his many inventions he has on his log in case he ever needed more money.
"Well, we've taken enough time with this" Reed said as he turned off his table "Shall we go on and do your physical examinations?"
"Oh, yes please!" Spider-Man said as he remembered that is the main reason why he is in The Baxter building to begin with "uhm, this won't reveal my identity, right? N-not because I don't trust you or anything… it's just …"
"Don't worry, Spider-Man. I'm just interested in knowing how your powers came to be, as well as see if you're healthy with them. Nothing will link you to your personal name" Reed said easily as he started another of his many computers with one hand and reached for a needle with the other "In fact, I can delete any information we gather today if that makes you more comfortable".
"Really? T-that'd be great!" Spider-Man said with clear relief in his voice, making Reed nod in acknowledgement.
"First we'll sample your blood and run it in this machine, which will tell us everything we need to know after a few minutes" Reed began explaining as he tapped the machine next to him "while we wait, we can see your physical prowess. Is this alright with you?"
"Yeah, of course!" Peter said easily as he lifted his sleeve to allow Dr. Richards to get a sample of his blood.
"Step under the hydraulic press if you please" reed said after taking the blood and injecting it into the machine for analysis "I will be adding pressure, you tell me when to stop, understood?"
"You got it!" Spider-Man said excitedly as he stepped underneath the giant press, placing his hands underneath to start the test.
"Go!" Reed said as he started the machine, increasing the pressure by ten pounds each 4 seconds. One minute in and Spider-Man was holding 1,500 pounds with seemingly no effort, which made Reed ask "how are you doing?"
*Yawn* "You kidding me? This is nothing! I can easily carry tons, y'know?" Spider-Man bragged as any normal teen would while fake yawning, making him carry the press with just one hand.
"Heh, all right, I'll increase the pressure more" Reed said with entertainment clear in his voice, amused by the teen and his strength.
A couple more minutes went by with Spider-Man holding more and more weight on his bare hands, until finally Reed reached a little more than 15 tons.
"A-alright I *groan* I think that's it" Spider-Man said with struggle as he felt the weight over him starting to overwhelm him, prompting Reed to quickly turn the machine off.
*Whistle* "15 tons? Not too shabby kid" Reed said as he reached Spider-Man. He obviously has seen stronger men in the form of The Hulk, Thor and his best friend, Ben; but it's always interesting to see superhuman capabilities like this.
"15?" Spider-Man asked as he stepped out of the machine and started thinking to himself.
'Huh… I had calculated that my strength would only reach 12.5 tons max because a spider can lift around 200 times their body weight… but it is also true that I will get taller with my age and unlike spiders, I have muscles that can develop further.
If 12 tons was my starting point, how strong can I get?' Spider-Man finished his train of thought as he looked at his clenching hands, thinking of the possibilities.
"Okay, now please step on the treadmill" Reed requested as he signaled the next machine.
And some more experiments and tests, the machine testing Spider-Man's blood finally beeped in signal of it being done.
"Okay Spider-Man, time for the truth" Reed said as he removed some electro-shock pads from Spider-Man to test his durability against electricity. Question Mr. Fantastic has had ever since hearing of the teen's fight with electro.
"What's the verdict, doc?" Spider-Man asked with humor trying to conceal his nerves, hoping to whatever deity his aunt prays to so that he is not sick with spider-genes or something.
"This is… amazing" Reed said after a brief pause that caused Peter's heart to skip a beat while the older man read over the results in a paper "Your molecular structure was remade with the spider's DNA, but it integrated completely with you. For all matters and purposes, you are literally 'Spider-Man' "
"Heh, I guess branding got it right with me" Spider-Man quipped as he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding "so that means Im healthy, right?"
"You are beyond 'healthy' really… well except for these… are you eating well?" Reed said as he saw Spider-Man's vitamins and minerals levels, which are below healthy.
"Oh uhm… I eat as much as I can without looking weird to others, y'know? I sometimes buy hotdogs or even pizzas after a fight if I'm really starved" Spider-Man admitted somewhat ashamedly.
"Yeah, I guess your metabolism might be difficult with your secret identity… still, you should try and eat better" Reed talked in his paternal voice, embarrassing Pete further.
"Y-yes sir" Spider-Man tried to quip, but was embarrassed enough for even Reed to notice that and drop the subject.
"Well, aside from that you are healthy, nothing to worry on that front" Reed said as he looked over the paper.
"That's a relief" Spider-Man answered sincerely.
"What I am curious about is how your 'sticky' powers work. There's nothing here that might suggest it" Reed mused as he looked over the paper for one last time, before throwing it to a paper shredder to make good on his promise to delete any information about Spider-Man.
They started exchanging theories and possibilities; they both came to the conclusion that rather than him having little hooks on his fingers and feet, he had some sort of electromagnetic pull that allowed him to 'stick' to any surface.
Or more accurately, Spider-Man can enhance the inner-atomic attractive forces on surfaces he touches, increasing the coefficient friction between the surface and himself.
Which in Reed's and Peter's mind was insane, because that meant that there is virtually nothing Peter can't stick to.
"Okay so wait, does that mean that my 'stickiness' can only be used on my extremities, or I can use let's say… my back to cling on something?" Spider-Man asked, making Reed ponder for a bit.
"Hmm… want to give it a try?" Asked Reed with a smile, making Spider-Man return it as well.
…..
"This is awesome! Now I'm never gonna have to worry about my mask slipping off!" Exclaimed Peter as he was hanging from the roof only with the very top of his head to a humorous Reed, who was having genuine fun with the hero.
Who knew someone like Spider-Man could be so fun to hang out with?
—————
Mr. Fantastic and Spider-Man spent the next several hours talking about his gadgets and how he was able to make them at 14 years old with barely any budget, and Reed was telling Spider-Man of his most exciting adventures he's had with his family.
Until Peter saw the clock.
"Oh crap, it's this late already?! I gotta head home!" Yelled Spider-Man as he stood up from his seat.
"Very well Spider-Man, I gotta say before you go though, I enjoyed this afternoon with you. It's nice to have someone appreciating the joy of discovery as much as I do around here" Reed said as he extended his hand to shake Peter's.
"T-thanks Dr. Richards! I still can't believe you guys wanted me as an honorary member. I will never be able to forget this day!" Said Peter happily as he shaked enthusiastically the older man's hand.
"Please Spider-Man, all my friends can call me Reed. And don't worry, I'm sure someday we will be trustworthy enough to you so that you feel comfortable around us without the mask, no pressure.
Until then stay safe Spider-Man, call us if you ever need anything" Reed retracted his hand and gave Peter a business card with a phone number that's reserved for people who personally knew the family.
"I-I really don't know what to say Dr. - I-I mean, Reed… really, thank you" Spider-Man said emotionally as he placed the card on his small utility belt.
"You don't have to thank me, Spider-Man, that's what friends are for. Now run along then, I'll let the rest know you headed home so don't worry about them either. Drop by anytime!" Reed said as he opened a window that was disguised as a wall in his lab, making way for Spider-Man to swing away.
Peter nodded and did as told.
Reed stood by the window, watching his new team member disappear through the cement jungle.
"Aw man, did he already leave?! How rude!" Exclaimed a disappointed Johnny next to Ben and Sue, barely startling Reed.
They came to see how both guys were doing, only to see Spider-Man swinging away.
"Aww Reed, you scared Spidey away! I was just about to invite him to have dinner with us…" Complained Sue as she just left Franklin sleeping on his crib, wanting to know the young hero a little better.
Reed chuckled softly and calmed everyone down by telling them how Spider-Man had to get home, most likely to his family, and that he did want to say goodbye to everyone but Reed told him it was fine.
Everyone understood, even if they were slightly disappointed.
"So, what were your thoughts about Spider-Man? Any regrets in making him an honorary member?" Asked Reed wanting to know everyone's impressions, already knowing his.
"Web-head seems like one of the good ones, as long as he stays that way, he's good to me" said Ben in his gruff voice with a smile "Best of it all if the baby candle here finally found someone that matches his attitude" The Thing nudges playfully at Johnny.
"Hey!" Complained Johnny as he tried to push Ben back "Anyway… he's kinda right, I like knowing someone my age with powers… and who doesn't cheat at video games like this boulder right here" now it was Johnny's time to make fun of Ben, which gained him a gentle push from the giant.
*Giggle* "Well, I think he's a nice and honest man. I could tell he genuinely wants to help and he has the cutest expressions when he's excited" Sue giggled at the interaction between her brother and Spider-Man, and at how Spider-Man looked when told he was in the team.
How someone with a mask could be so expressive was a mystery to Sue.
"What about ya'?" Ben asked his best friend.
"Honestly?… I had a great time you guys" admitted Reed as he smiled full brightly, surprising everyone just a little bit.
Reed then started telling everyone excitedly all the stuff they did in the hours they spent in his lab, with an almost childlike excitement. Until Sue told him that it would be best if he told everything at the dining table with a fun smirk on her face.
It seems Johnny wasn't the only one who made a friend that matched his attitude.
————
Peter was 'flying' home, still with a grin on his face because of the awesome time he just had with his new team. He obviously knows that being an honorary member meant that he would still work on his own, and would be called occasionally, if ever.
But at least he was recognized as a good guy by someone; finally! And not just someone, but the Freakin' Fantastic Four!
And not only that, but he also had a deeper look at his powers as well! Knowing that he could make any part of his body 'sticky' was honestly great.
'Wait, if I can attract atoms together with myself to be sticky…could I repel them in a similar, but opposite fashion?' Peter thought to himself about the implication.
Perhaps he could dry himself faster? Repealing the water off from his body and such. There wasn't really much he could do with it, but it was worth a try.
Peter stopped at a park near his home; he didn't had much time due to his curfew, but he really wanted to test this out.
He started practicing his repelling powers, and he did manage to revert the 'stickiness' of his hands and feet, but quickly found that it wasn't worth much. It did have the advantage of making him immune to his own webs though, making them unable to stick to him.
Peter had no reason to doubt that that ability would be consistent in everything sticky, like if glue or gum were to interact with him, they would also be useless.
Not exactly a great power to discover, but still better than nothing.
He at first thought he would hover above ground, but was disappointed to find he only made the floor slightly slippery. Not too much as to be able to skate in it, but just enough to feel it, like a recently polished wooden floor.
"WAIT!" Peter yelled out loud as he saw a pond in the middle of the park.
'Could it possibly work…?' Peter asked uncertainty as he stood beside the pond, debating with himself if whatever he was about to do was worth the risk of getting wet all over.
*Sigh* 'The world is for the bold, right?' As Peter took a step in the water with his eyes closed tightly, waiting for him to sink in it.
Peter opened one eye nervously and glanced down.
"HAHAHA IT-IT WORKED!" Peter yelled excitedly as he saw himself not sinking on the pond's surface, but instead maintaining his weight above the surface.
"I-I CAN WALK ON WATER!" Peter kept yelling as he placed his other feet on the pond, now standing completely on water. Not falling into it thanks to his perfect equilibrium.
Another thing Peter discovered he had with the help of Dr. Richards.
"HAHAH" Peter started laughing maniacally as he ran in circles, seeing how he can, in fact, stay in the water's surface like a famous religious character.
"This is so crazy…" Peter muttered with disbelief, never even conceiving this would be possible in his wildest dreams.
He knows some spiders do walk on water, but how could he even imagine that he would also be able to do so?
Peter kept playing on the pond, doing handstands and complicated jumps on top of the water, testing his capabilities and how much force he could exert on the water's surface before he inevitably sank all the way.
*PSSSHHHH* Surprisingly enough, it took Peter to make a mighty jump in the water and fall on it with a hard stomp for the water to finally get him whole. If he jumped and landed as he would normally do, he would stay afloat.
"Maybe that was too much…" Peter said humorously as he jumped out of the pond, only to see the mess he made of the grass with the water.
Still, he was happy.
What started out as an awful day of feeling sorry for himself while trying his hardest to not regret his decisions due his friends' hurt feelings, turned into a friend-making day with some of the best heroes in the world.
And he now knows he is healthy, which is honestly a huge weight off his back.
Looking at the increasingly dark night, Peter sighed contently to himself and started heading home before his aunt worried about him.
————
"What a great day" muttered Peter as he found himself now in his home, after a night out patrolling. As usual he came home to his aunt just at the edge of his curfew, and after wishing his aunt a good night, Peter went out as Spider-Man once again.
This day was better spent as Spider-Man, rather than Peter Parker.
While the boy had personal issues with his identity and his secret, all of that was able to be almost forgotten once the mask was placed on his face. Almost like a safe space for Peter to become someone… happier.
Peter Parker lost.
He made his friends sad and angry because of how poorly he manages his secret activities.
He still thinks uncomfortably the way MJ looked almost heartbroken before Peter lied to her. He feels nervous when he thinks of the possibility of Emma being angry at him, with her really ignoring him.
But Spider-Man won.
And he finally won in something other than a fight. He made new friends as the vigilante, and now he almost has as many friends with one identity as he does with the other.
His two lives are growing further from each other, and one seems to be going in a better direction than the other.
This… should be something worrisome for Peter, but he can't help himself but feel happy at the events of the day.
With that feeling in his heart, Pe… Spider-Man drifts off to his sleep.
