Chapter 15 - Telling The Others

Peter was having an excellent morning.

Yesterday his first civilian friend discovered that he is Spider-Man and what happened with his uncle - and instead of calling him a menace, a monster or even blackmailing his identity, he got a girlfriend!

This of course being the always beautiful Emma Frost, who told him her own secret in exchange for discovering his; and that being the fact that she's a mind reading mutant.

Peter obviously has no problems of any kind with mutants, even having some friends himself, like Wolverine and Deadpool (is he?)…well Deadpool is a 'maybe friend' after the stunt he pulled with the plane, but still, Peter is on friendly terms or something similar with the red-costumed mercenary.

Peter had liked Emma for many months now, so her reciprocating his feelings really made him the happiest teen alive.

Well, at least after the initial shock of having his personal thoughts exposed to someone without his consent…

Yesterday was a day filled with emotion, reveals, kisses and promises of better tomorrows - something that Peter needed badly because being Spider-Man and the guilt he carried really was starting to take a serious toll on him.

They talked all afternoon until it was Emma's curfew.

About how Peter got the idea to become Spider-Man and most of his adventures and fights as a vigilante, using this opportunity to apologize about every time he ditched her to go and be a hero - which Emma reassured Peter that it was fine and that she understood.

Emma also explained how her powers first appeared, the reason she stopped going to her other school (leaving her crush for her teacher out of the conversation), her fight against that other telepath and the troubles of being a mutant in a world that hated them.

They both still kept some secrets from the other because of the relatively little time they had left of the day and the fact that some things are better left unsaid - like some of the things that Peter has seen on patrol and Emma's irresponsible use of her powers.

But still, many things were cleared between them.

And now Peter knows that he needs to be more careful with his identity than ever, because Emma being his girlfriend will put a target on her back as big as his aunt May's, and he can't let anything happen to either of them.

He'll make sure nothing does.

That thought was grim, but he won't let it ruin his happy mood. He got ready for school and once again he walked alone to it because Mary Jane texted him that she would be going first to school.

Peter didn't care to walk alone to school, his mind busy with the image of his now beautiful girlfriend occupying his every thought.

Eager to meet her again, Peter doubled his walking speed with a goofy face adorning his face.

Until he heard an alarm going off near him, causing the young hero to groan and start heading that way.

With Emma

Emma woke up from her awful sleeping position and laid on her back for some minutes, remembering every single thing that happened and was said yesterday by her and Peter.

Every tear, every word… every kiss. Her powers even allowed her to remember it all until the last little detail.

Once she got to the part where Peter asked her to be his girlfriend and she accepted, Emma grabbed her pillow and squealed on it like the teen in love she is.

She won Peter, and not only his regular and nerdy self that she fell for, but she also won Spider-Man's heart.

Never could she have even imagined that Peter would be a superhero at his young age, but in retrospect, it was so obvious.

The day she met him, he saved her and Chat's life by pulling a stunt she thought was impossible at the time, only for him to disappear just in time for the hero to show up and vice versa; that should have been her first clue.

But it really explained everything, like how Peter is the only one that can get clear pictures of the hero in action - even in this modern world where everyone has a camera in their pockets - all his absences when there's trouble going on, all his late arrivals and even the injuries he sometimes sports.

It was surreal to think that Peter spends his nights and free time fighting for the safety of the citizens of New York; battling any and all kinds of threats.

Emma thought that if she were to listen to something similar from anyone the day before yesterday, she would either laugh in their face or freak out for Peter.

But in all honesty? She now found that she is attracted to that.

And how could she not be? Peter literally swings around the city in a skintight suit that shows just how well built he is as he demonstrates time and time again how powerful he actually is.

It's really hot to think about.

But now it's not time to daydream about her boyfriend, she has a mission she needs to accomplish.

Emma thought about this long and hard after she arrived home yesterday and she came to the conclusion of what would be the best thing for her, for Peter and their relationship.

She's going to erase Mary Jane's and Gwen Stacy's feelings for Peter today before he arrives at school.

Emma knows that both girls are also romantically attracted to Peter - it's pretty obvious to her even without her telepathic abilities - and she doesn't like that.

But she has to accept that even if they are her romantic rivals, Peter still cares deeply for them. They have been by his side for much of his life and are few of the only people at school that genuinely care for Peter, and Emma fears that her relationship with Peter will ruin his friendship with both girls.

Peter has lost many people throughout his life and she now has an idea of what he feels because of it, so Emma would hate it if he were to lose more because of her.

… There's also the very real chance that both those girls would get in the way of her relationship with Peter. Wether it's because of their feelings towards him, or a gap caused by Emma herself with those two.

Emma would really hate it if Peter was forced to choose between her and his friends.

So the solution? Make both girls forget any romantic feelings they harbor for Peter, but keep their memories and friendship intact.

That way, Peter still has his friends and Emma loses any competition from them; maybe they could even look at each other as friends! …Or maybe not since Emma doesn't really like the two of them, but who knows.

What she does know is that she needs to talk with Chat about everything, because not only does she know Peter's secret, she also likes him. And Emma refuses to mind control her best friend, even if it would make everything so much easier.

With her plan in mind, Emma went to school with her mind controlled chauffeur, ready to make her plan a reality; trusting that Peter would find an old lady to help or something along the way that would make him slightly late to class.

….

Arriving at school, Emma saw MJ standing near Peter's locker as she talked with his bully about how he can score with his own crush, Sha Sha Nyguen.

Emma let out a sigh of discomfort at the sight, never believing she would be entangled in a highly hormonal and 'romantic' high school drama like this one, reminding her of the shows she used to 'ironically' watch and make fun of.

"Watson, I need to talk to you" Emma said coldly as she approached the duo, thanking the lord that Peter does appear to be late once again.

"Hello to you too, Emma" MJ turned around, matching the blonde's tone as she greeted the haughty girl. How Peter could stand to be near someone so cold and hateful was beyond her.

Emma felt a tick on her left eye at MJ's thoughts, but settled down once she remembered that she won Peter's heart fair and square… maybe with some help from her powers, but still.

"What is it?" MJ asked with a raised eyebrow and her arms folded as she now forgets about Flash, sensing another passive aggressive 'fight' is going to take place between them.

"Alone" Emma glared at Flash who didn't even try to greet the blonde. He would never admit it to anyone, but he was slightly scared of her and to make it worse his head would sometimes start throbbing around her.

So Flash just waved MJ goodbye as he thanked her for the advice she gave and made himself scarce.

"…Fine, the music classroom is empty at this hour" MJ was hesitant to be alone in a room with her, but she figured that she must have something important to tell her if she's willingly talking to her and not just because of Peter.

And talking about the boy, MJ also agreed because they were most definitely going to talk about him, and the redhead just had to know what this was about.

"After you" Emma said with a winning smile that made MJ frown. But the latter just huffed and started walking ahead of her rival, unaware that the girl behind her started working her 'magic' on her mind as they walked towards the empty class.

Just as they reached the class, MJ's heart skipped a beat and she gasped as she felt something 'spike' in her mind. Mary Jane Watson suddenly felt something being taken from her; something important, something personal, something precious.

Something that perhaps was destined for her, now lost. But what was it? Why did it feel this way? Why is there suddenly something missing from her?Something… lost.

Her feet faltered for a moment as a headache invaded her - so much in fact that she had to hold herself on the door as to not fall. Her stomach and heart sank for only a second, but it was enough for her to feel her eyes fill with tears.

Mary Jane doesn't know what's going on, and she felt scared.

"Are you okay?" Asked Emma imitating to perfection real concern, even if she didn't mean it. Not because she wouldn't care if something happened to her classmate, but because she knows that messing with feelings usually has that effect on people.

"Y-yeah, don't worry about me" as fast as that horrible feeling came over her, it went away; not even lasting a second long.

Yet MJ still felt like something critical to her person was now twisted, something is wrong with her…maybe it's just because of the fact that she's with Emma, who's clearly a bad influence for Peter, her best friend.

"All right then" Emma said coldly as she stepped in the class, following MJ.

"So, what do you want?" Asked MJ as she took a seat in one of the many empty desks while, as discreetly as possible, she wiped her eyes of any unshed tears.

Why did she feel like crying? What is that awful feeling in her gut? Those and many more questions are being pushed to the back of her mind in order to hear what Frost has to say.

"Look Watson, I know we often don't see eye to eye, but I think we should start trying to find a way to at least tolerate each other when we are in the same room" Explained Emma as she remained standing up in front of MJ, her expression softening as she talked to try and ease the red head.

"…why? Why tell me this now? What's your endgame?" MJ asked with a raised eyebrow, not really understanding why this mean and haughty girl would suddenly extend a friendly branch to her like this.

*Sigh* "If you want honesty…it's because of Peter. I don't want you two to stop being friends because of me" Emma admitted as she finally took seat one away from MJ.

"I imagined this was going to be about Peter, but please tell me, why on Earth would I stop being friends with Peter just because of you?" Asked MJ through gritted teeth, not liking what the girl she was looking at was insinuating.

"Oh well you know, I read somewhere that when someone is initiating a romantic relationship, that person tends to lose close friends. But perhaps it's just an exaggeration on my part~" Emma said with a singly and sweet voice, nearly giggling at the reaction of MJ who opened her mouth to try and say something, only to fail and resemble a fish out of the water.

"Y-you are you going to confess to Peter?!" MJ asked worriedly, not because she likes him or anything like that, but because she cares deeply for him; and MJ fears that if Emma and Peter start dating he will become someone rude and mean like her.

Which would cause him to change even more than he did after what happened to his uncle.

"Oh darling, I didn't confess *giggle* it was Peter the one that popped the question to me. Although I have to admit that it didn't look like he planned on doing it…at least not so soon" Emma admitted as she twisted the truth a little bit, because in the end it was Peter the one that asked her to be his girlfriend, and she the one who accepted.

MJ remained quiet for several seconds, absorbing the information to it's last detail and what it meant.

She felt weird hearing that little ol' Peter Parker now has a girlfriend. She thought that she would react more negatively at the information, but as much as she tried to, she couldn't; because at the end of the day, Peter was just her best friend and she had no say on who he should or shouldn't date.

"I-I see… well that's some 'great' news, Emma" MJ muttered unsure of her own words, feeling somewhat annoyed at the smug grin that painted Emma's face.

"I know" Emma said happily "but back to the point, I know that Peter cares for you… for some reason… and I wouldn't like it if he had to give up his friends because of me. And since Peter and I will now be spending much more time together, I will undoubtedly spend more time with you as a result. So I ask you, will me dating Peter bring harm to your friendship with him?"

"…why do you care about that? I would have imagined you would be thrilled at the idea of me not being friends with Peter" MJ asked, sharing her real thoughts on the matter, even if they sound rude.

"You fail to consider that Peter would end up sad and hurt in such scenario" Emma reasoned easily. She would actually like it if she had Peter all to herself, but she also knows that Peter needs the people he loves to stay grounded and not lose himself to the mask.

Emma doesn't remember much of Peter's mind, but what she can tell is that Peter is doing what he does as a way to repent for his uncle, but he also keeps going in hopes of keeping the city and everyone he loves in it safe.

Thing that keep him surprisingly busy, like if trouble went after him or something.

Either way, Peter needs his friends and family to remind himself of who Peter Parker is, and that he is not only the superhero Spider-Man - while at the same time, reminding him of who he fights for as Spider-Man.

Emma should really start reading a book on therapy and maybe help Peter when the mood is right.

If he can help the entire city then it's only fair his lovely girlfriend helps him back, right?

"…you really like Peter, don't you?" Asked MJ, surprised at the thoughtfulness someone so nasty has with Peter.

"I do" Emma said without hesitation.

Seeing the blonde be so serious about what she's talking about, MJ could only sigh in defeat.

She thinks Peter could do better than Emma, at least attitude wise, but she has had the suspicion for some time that Peter likes her and well, if her best friend's happy then so is she.

Especially if Emma is willing to have this talk with her, showing that she cares even for Peter's friendships.

*Sigh* "Yeah okay, I promise I won't give Peter any shit for his choice in dating, no matter how wrong it is" MJ said with a serious face, conveying her real thoughts which made Emma frown "Sorry, had to get that out of my system".

"Whatever, glad we worked that out" Emma huffed as she got up from her seat and neared the door "Are you coming?" she asked when she noticed MJ not moving.

They still had some minutes before the first class which she wanted to use to do the same 'un-loving' process she did with MJ to Gwen.

"I'm…I'm going to stay until class starts" MJ said a little unsure. She had a lot to think about.

She feels like her whole world just shifted in more than one way and she doesn't know what changed. It can't just be that Peter Parker got a girlfriend before she got a boyfriend, can it?

No, that can't be it. She's a free spirit after all - someone who has never pursued any romantic relationship with anyone. But then, why would Peter dating, even if it's Emma Frost, would make someone as romantically free as MJ feel… wrong?

She needs to think about everything.

Emma simply nodded and left the class with satisfied frin, going in search of Gwen Stacy to repeat the process.

The talk itself was tedious and useless for Emma, but it's something that needs to be done.

———-

Peter finally arrived at class, late.

"I'm here, I'm here!" Peter yelled as he opened the door to his class, where he received a stern look from his English teacher.

"And you are late, Mr. Parker, again" Said the teacher as she crossed her arms and looked at Peter unimpressed.

"Yeah I know, and I'm sorry. T-there was a robbery on my way here and I had to take a different route" Peter explained apologetically. He somewhat said the truth about there being a robbery at a jewelry store, so…

Emma looked at Peter softly with loving eyes, knowing that he most definitely stopped whoever was stupid enough to try and do something like that in the middle of the morning.

She wasn't going to let Peter be punished for doing the right thing, so she mentally commanded the teacher to let this one slip.

*Sigh* "There's always something with you Parker. I'll count your assistance, but please, next time try to be on time" pleaded the teacher as she motioned for Peter to sit down.

He did so happily the moment he saw that the seat besides Emma was empty and she was waiting for him with a smile. Because they were still in class neither did much to acknowledge the other, except for Emma who batted her eyes flirtatiously at Peter and he just awkwardly chuckled at that.

Which caused the teacher to shoot another glare at Peter.

Classes went somewhat normally, except for the part where Peter and Emma seemed to be extra happy and clingy with each other, causing some strange looks from the classmates Peter and Emma usually don't interact with.

Paired with a disheartened look from Jessica Jones, an awkward look from Harry and most of Peter's bullies, who felt somewhat uncomfortable looking at him so happy, mainly Sally.

The only ones giving Peter soft looks were MJ and Gwen, who despite not liking Emma, still found it nice to see Peter being so happy with his new couple.

Even if something inside them stirred weirdly at the sight.

But Emma catched on to the bullies' thoughts and didn't like them, so she sent migraines their way whenever someone thought of doing something that might've embarrassed Peter and ruin the goofy smile he had going on.

She simply can't allow her heroic boyfriend to be mocked by these ungrateful mongrels.

In a very complicated way, Peter frustrates Emma while at the same time he makes her fall harder for him. This is caused by the way he pretends to be this weak willed boy who is easily scared by cheerleaders and jocks by day, only to then fight all kinds of men and monsters by night.

She understood perfectly when Peter explained to her yesterday at their talk that he needs to put his facade up so that nobody would even begin to suspect he's Spider-Man.

And of course she understands, after all she does the same because of her mutant abilities - albeit with more safe space for her to use them since her powers are mental instead of physical like Peter's; much harder for someone to notice it.

Still, she would love for Peter to show off for a bit. For him to say something back at those meatheads and then rough them up a little if they try to tussle with him.

Well…she also figures it's nice to be the only one that truly knows just how special her boyfriend is. To be the only one in the whole world that is going to be listening first hand of Spider-Man's heroics while they spend time together.

Anyways, if Peter is comfortable enough to not do anything about Flash and his goonies, then she supposes she will only support him the way she knows how, by giving them headaches and whatnot whenever she feels like it.

She had half a mind to wipe their distaste for Peter from their minds, but the problem with that was that, unlike Mary Jane's and Gwen Stacy's feelings for Peter, it's very well known to every person in the school - and maybe beyond that - that they bully him.

And don't get it wrong, Emma is very confident in herself and her abilities, but altering the minds of everyone in a school that serves both as a high school and middle school might just be out of her playing field.

At least for now.

She could attempt to do it, but if by any chance someone does find out about her mind-manipulative powers, it might ruin just about everything for her.

And she can't allow that to happen.

Not when she finally got together with Peter and they shared only one of many wonderful memories they'll share together.

So if Peter can endure it, so can she. She'll just have to be there for him when being Spider-Man and Peter Parker is too much, just like she knows he'll be there for her whenever she needs him.

Like the time where he saved her from the falling sign or any other time as Spider-Man, all while he makes her feel seen as Peter.

And to be honest, she loves being the only one that knows his secret.

Well…there is another one that knows. And she really needs to have a serious talk with her, which is scary it think about.

*Sigh* Emma lets out a heavy sigh when she remembers she still needs to talk with Chat.

"Are you okay, Emmy?" Peter asks, somewhat worried. It's now lunch time and so far Emma has been nothing short of a beam of happiness with the most enchanting smile he's ever seen from her.

He even overheard Sally mutter how creepy she looked, all smiley like that, while wondering if his 'nerdish creepiness' finally drove her to insanity. Only for her to go to the nurse because of a headache or something.

But now, at lunch, she seems to be lost in thought while sighing sadly.

"Maybe she's already regretting dating you" Harry mocked with a small grin while eating his own lunch. Something that no one else would ever bring because of how expensive it is no doubt.

Emma frowned at that, snapping back to reality. She noticed how jealous he was of Peter because he got, according to his thoughts, 'a crazy hot girl' while he still hadn't made progress with that Liz girl.

She wasn't a piece of meat that Peter 'won', and she knows Peter didn't even had that thought crossing through his mind, but it still pisses her off.

*Scoffs* "I wouldn't regret dating Peter even if you offered me all of your daddy's money, Osborn" Emma sneered at the petty boy for what he thought and said.

"Don't start, Harry, please?" Gwen pleaded, not wanting a fight to happen between the two rich teens. Again.

"Aww, look at how red you got, Tiger" MJ cooed as she saw how cute Peter looked by Emma's words.

Emma felt another tick on her left eye at the redhead's pet name for her boyfriend.

She had hoped that with the romantic feelings gone, that dreadful nickname would go as well, but alas, no such luck.

It also irked her how she was looking at Peter - like he was someone cute and worth teasing.

It couldn't be possible that she fell for Peter again, can it? Not when just a few hours just passed since Emma did her magic.

MJ's feelings for Peter couldn't be so strong that she was somehow overriding her mental barriers, could they?

Emma was starting to worry at such thoughts.

"Hehe, I think I'm not used to this yet" Peter admitted with a shy chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head, referring to being in an actual relationship.

Emma saw how Peter was indeed looking very cute with his bashfulness, and just like that, all worries about the redhead melted away.

After all, she already won. She has Peter, and he has her.

"You better get used to it then~" Emma teased as she neared her face to Peter's, which got him to get even redder than before.

That got a giggle out of the three girls and an eye roll from Harry, who cursed his best friend's luck in his head.

"Ew, go be gross somewhere else" Sally Avrill said with her tray of food from behind the happy couple while she walked with her clique.

Emma was about to say something to the other blonde, but Peter did so first.

"Oh Sally, you're out of the infirmary. Everything okay I hope" Peter noted simply. He was too happy right now to allow him to be brought down by her words.

"Are you a stalker?! How would you know where I was?!" Sally screeched with disgust, which only gained her curious looks from everyone, including her friends.

"He was there when you asked permission to go, Sally" Randy stepped in for Peter with his usual cool voice. He wonders many times why she's so adamant on giving Parker such a hard time.

"So what?! Aren't you going to say something?!" Sally now directed her rage towards her boyfriend, who she also expected him to say something to the nerd.

"Uh… yeah. She just had a mild headache, nothing to worry about" Randy explained to Peter and the rest who were listening in on the conversation.

"Oh, good" Peter simply answered. He may not be too fond Sally, but he wouldn't wish any ill on her either.

"Randy, not that!" Sally complained with her usual bratty tone "Don't you care that Parker is interested in your girlfriend!?"

That got Emma's attention, who was thinking about what she was going to say to Chat to distract herself from the loud mouths - who, for claiming to dislike Peter, sure took time out of their day to talk to him.

"Not at all, why? Are you interested in him?" Randy questioned without any emotion betraying his face. He knows that Peter is not hitting for Sally, and it's obvious by the PDA he has with the Frost chick that he's already with her.

He also doesn't appreciate how she uses their relationship with him to antagonize Peter.

"I want to walk on a Parker free planet, thank you very much" Sally sneered cruelly, making Flash, Kenny and other onlookers of the growing conflict laugh at Peter in a not so discreet manner, though not full on laughing.

"Ugh, don't you have anywhere else you can bark at? My ears tire from listening to your high pitched, whiny-grating voice all day" Emma said with disgust clear in her voice and a scowl on her face while looking directly at the cheerleader.

She just insinuated she would be happier if Peter was dead! What's her problem?! She would have loved to flood Sally's head with horrific nightmares, but she didn't want Peter to think badly of her.

Plus, she doesn't need her powers to stand up for her boyfriend against someone who's not really worth the trouble.

"Excuse me?" Sally said in a dangerous tone…dangerous to everyone but Emma Frost.

"You're not excused" Emma replied, suppressing her grin of pride when Peter snorted at her joke. Maybe spending so much time together with the boy was starting to show in her humor "Now please, run along to the next victim of your need for attention".

"Heh, I'm sensing cat fight~" Kong teased as he stuffed his face on some chips he bought at the cafeteria with a wide smile, enjoying the conflict between the blondes.

"Shut up Kenny!" Glory elbowed him in the stomach, making him spit out some crumbs out of his mouth with a *UMF*, getting some on Flash who started flailing around like an idiot while cursing Kenny, causing the other football players laughed like a pack of wild animals.

"But Glory" whined Kenny lamely with his face still stuffed.

Emma's face showed disgust at the sight of the people who were disturbing her time with Peter before she had to break the news to Chat.

Are they going to continue being friends? Or was Chat going to say she never wants to see her again? Emma doesn't know, and she's not used to not knowing. She dislikes the feeling.

What she does know however is how annoying these guys are.

"So? Do you want something or you just came to parade your mouth?" Emma questioned with a raised eyebrow, glad that for once the 'popular kids' were making fun of themselves by themselves. There was something satisfying about that.

"Why do you care, Frost?" Sally asked with narrowed eyes.

"I actually don't, you're just pestering around here" Emma answered with her same tone.

"The only ones 'pestering' around here is the geek squad you hang out with!" Sally screeched, not understanding why girls so good looking like Emma and Mary Jane would want to be around Parker and the other two.

"You say that, but no one here ever approaches you. It's always you, the one circling around us, begging for attention. If you don't like being around here sweetie, then leave" Emma shooed her away with her hand as she talked in a mocking voice, as if she was talking of the simplest thing ever.

*…Hmph* Sally made a petty face and just walked away without another word, prompting her clique to follow her.

"…" everyone in the cafeteria stood quiet while the jocks retreated with a fuming Sally who was now complaining very loudly and graphically to Randy about how he didn't say anything to defend her.

"Damn, that was awesome" Peter muttered in disbelief.

"HA!" *Snort* which got a guffaw out of Emma, followed by a series of giggles by her.

MJ, Gwen, Harry and pretty much everyone in the cafeteria got startled by the sudden laugh, which sounds incredibly out of character coming from Emma Frost - who got the reputation of an Ice Queen with the nastiest, most haughty personality in the history of Midtown High.

Not even the teachers and faculty were spared from her icy glare and mean comments.

No one but Peter Parker and Sophia Sanduval.

Emma Frost could have the most unfriendly look on her beautiful face that would make even the principal hesitant to talk to her - and if you did gather the courage, she would reply with the most unnecessary and scornful comment one could possibly imagine.

Until Peter Parker or Chat Sanduval entered her field of vision.

Then all of a sudden she would become the brightest and prettiest girl anyone has ever laid eyes upon.

Out of nowhere, she would start acting like a regular, laid back and good humored teen with Chat; talking and giggling around like a regular teenager should.

But the biggest shift is with Peter.

When he talks with Emma, she looks just like a love stricken girl whose only concern is getting closer to her crush. She laughs at his god-awful jokes, she listens intently when he explains a college level biochemistry book he read, she sticks to him like gum wherever he goes and many even think that if you look closely enough, you can see little hearts in her eyes.

Honestly, how they didn't get together before, seeing as Peter is also incredibly and obviously crazy for her, is anyone's guess.

Emma felt her face grow red at everyone's thoughts about their relationship, as well as kick herself slightly for not being able to get together with Peter before when apparently everyone else knew.

"Well of course, I am awesome after all" Emma exclaimed smugly after she was done laughing, still with a bright smile on her face, heightened by the fact that even though all her peers see her as a mean girl - which she really doesn't care about - she projects herself as she wants to Peter.

*Chuckle* "Don't have to remind me" Peter matched Emma's happy tone, oblivious to the jealous eyes of some male students and the looks from his friends.

Harry was looking bored at the scene before him until his eyes landed on Liz, who just walked into the cafeteria next to Betty.

"Oh hey, there's Liz! If you guys will excuse me, I have to show my charm to a special lady" he said and left without giving anyone time to respond.

"Uh… hey MJ, didn't we have to tune our instruments for our next rehearsal this Friday?" Gwen suggested to her friend as a sign to leave the table, feeling somewhat uncomfortable at being in such proximity of his best friend openly flirting with a girl she doesn't particularly like.

Even though that very morning Gwen had a conversation with Emma about her still being friends with Peter after his new relationship status, Emma Frost rubs Gwen the wrong way.

Especially after the aching feeling in her heart and mind she felt during their conversation. It wasn't physical pain or anything, nor did it last long, it was more like… something important to her being taken away - without her even having a chance to fight back for it.

Gwen knows it's a pretty wild 'feeling' to have. But it's like when you enter a room with a purpose, but then immediately forget what it was - but this time, it was robbed from her by force.

"…yeah sure, let's go" MJ agreed in a less cheerful tone than usual, not really enjoying how Emma was stealing all of Peter's attention.

'Well, it's their first official day as a couple, I'm sure they'll outgrow being like this' the redhead figured as she retreated, getting a half hearted goodbye from Peter.

Emma didn't even bother looking at them.

Both MJ and Gwen gave Peter one last look before exiting the cafeteria, not really knowing why their heart ached at the sight of their friend being so cheesy with that girl.

They each shrugged after they spent a second too long looking their way and went towards Betty. They do have plans to play in Betty's garage on Friday all day, so this came as a convenience anyway.

Meanwhile Peter and Emma continued their happy exchange now alone on their own, oblivious to the devastated look that Jessica Jones is shooting at Peter before also disappearing from the cafeteria.

….

After they both ended their food, they decided to take a small stroll, where Emma once again sighed sadly when she spotted a squirrel who reminded her of her friend.

"Are you sure you're okay, Emmy? You've sighed like that like 5 times already" Peter asked worriedly while looking into Emma's eyes for any sign of discomfort.

Emma smiled at Peter's worry.

It makes her feel important to have him be so attentive of her. And she does have to admit she let's her true feelings show when she's around Peter, something that's bound to increase with their new relationship status.

"Yeah I'm fine… it's just… I had a bit of a fight with Chat before Thanksgiving and I haven't seen her since" She decided to somewhat admit her troubles.

Peter's eyes widen slightly at the information. He would have never imagined the two best friends to fight "Oh, sorry to hear that. Is it too serious?"

"I-I think so, yeah" she knows it will most likely be. She 'stole' her crush after all; if the roles were reversed, Emma would have been devastated.

"But you two still talk, right?" Peter inquired, remembering how it was Chat the one that told Peter Emma was right after her month absence.

"We do" Emma agreed.

"I think you have nothing to worry about then. Chat is a sweet girl and you're like, the sharpest girl I know; whatever problem you girls have, you'll figure it out" Peter suppressed the urge to make a dumb joke or to make light of the situation when he saw the face on Emma.

Clearly, this is something important to her. And of course it is, Emma and Chat are inseparable, whatever fight they have going on it must be serious.

"Really? You think so?" In an uncharacteristically quiet and shy voice, she asked, clinging to his words.

"I know so. I mean - come on, you're some of the closest friends I know! It's just a patch in the road" Peter said confidently, making Emma smile while getting infected with his enthusiasm.

"Yeah, you're right. Since you have your internship with Dr. Octavius today, I'll go visit her and talk things out" She was already planning on doing just that, but Peter's words were really the final push she needed.

"…r-right, yeah! I think that's a great idea" Peter stammered nervously after staring at her for a second too long at what she said.

Squinting her eyes, Emma looked carefully at the nervous boy "You forgot about your internship today, didn't you?" Emma asked after she reached a conclusion.

"W-what? Nooo, me? I could never!" Peter very clearly did. Yesterday he didn't have the job since Otto was still in the mood to rest, but after that, they were on until Christmas break.

"Uh-huh yeah. You do know that I don't need my powers to see that you're lying, right?" Emma deadpanned as she lied through her teeth.

She now knows that if Peter wanted to keep something from her, the only real way for her to find out would be by going into his mind, a thing she promised him - and bowed to herself - to never do again.

It was scary to think just how much of a good liar Peter is.

But she trusts him enough to know he wouldn't keep anything too important from her.

Not anymore.

And he doesn't need to know how much of a good liar he is.

"Hehe, well it's not like you can blame me, after all you're the reason I'm distracted~" Peter flirted as he smiled smugly at Emma's sudden flushed face.

*Smack* Emma smacked Peter's shoulder playfully as he started laughing.

"Silver tongue" murmured Emma under her breath as they walked in the empty yard. Though her words came off as annoyed, her amused smile gave away her real feelings.

Once classes were over, Peter and Emma rode the subway, which Emma was starting to begrudgingly get used to, until they each needed to separate.

Peter grabbed Emma's shoulder once they both exited the underground station near Chat's apartment which she shared with her sister in an attempt to ease her. It was weird seeing the always prideful and confident Frost so nervous and fidgety.

"Hey Emmy? Everything's going to be okay" Peter assured as he rubbed her shoulder.

"Yeah, it will" Emma agreed, already planning what she was going to say.

"See you tomorrow?" Peter asked with a soft smile.

Emma shook her head "talk to you tonight" she corrected.

*Chuckle* "You got it" Peter was debating himself whether or not to kiss her in the middle of the street, but ultimately decided against it.

Yesterday they didn't care about doing many things, but it was because of all the emotion they carried. Now it would feel kinda disrespectful of him to be all touchy like that with Emma on their first official day as a couple.

Instead he opted for a peck on her cheek before saying a last goodbye, disappearing quickly in an empty alleyway where Spider-Man could take over.

Peter still had about two hours and a half before his internship started, so he would swing all the way to Greenwich and see if he could stop any evil-doers along the way.

Emma watched him swing away with a bright smile as many onlookers saw in awe and cheered for Spider-Man, along with those in the minority that cursed at the menace, but they were largely ignored by the majority.

She then turned her head towards the building in which her best friend lives and sighed.

'She's not going to hate you… everything's going to be fine' Emma repeated in her head with hope.

But before she went inside the building she turned and saw Chat's favorite pastry shop 'Maybe I should bring her something, she's still sick and me going in empty handed would look bad' Emma reasoned as she made her mind and bought what she knows are Chat's favorite cookies.

They aren't bad, but they also don't compare to the fine quality of food she's accustomed to.

Now with her 'present' and her thoughts organized, Emma walked in.

With Peter

Peter swung now for about half an hour all around the city, testing his speed and seeing how fast he could traverse the city since today seemed to be a lazy day.

He was killing some time as he thought about just how lucky he is to be able to call Emma Frost his girlfriend with a dorky smile behind his mask. It's literally a dream come true for him!

He was so focused in his thoughts that he didn't notice that he was standing in the building next to The Fantastic Four's own building, where a set of pretty blue eyes landed on him.

"Oh, Spidey's here" exclaimed Susan as her eyes landed on the red and blue costumed hero just outside her floor's window in the building next to them.

It has become a fairly normal occurrence for the web-head, as Ben fondly calls him, to visit them in their building. And honestly, so far everyone in the family really likes him.

Reed looks like a little kid talking about a friend he made in elementary school whenever Sue asks her husband what he did with Spider-Man in his lab, where the pun cracking hero shows his true intellect for whatever experiment those two were doing.

Ben finds his pun's funny, and really likes to have someone outside the family not treating him like a monster or even with care. The Thing can move freely around Spider-Man because the young hero is also extremely strong, not as much as Ben though.

It's refreshing for the ever-loving blue-eyed Ben to not tread as though he is dealing with eggshells around someone.

And apparently, much to Sue's dismay, Spidey is really good at poker, which Ben absolutely loves and hates about him at the same time. He claims that the mask is unfair and the reason why he won 20 dollars last time he was here, but somehow Sue doubts that's the case.

And Johnny finally has a friend his age. One that is also superpowered nonetheless.

After gaining his powers, Johnny left Glenville and its high school in order to live in The Baxter Building together with the rest of the team, becoming an early graduate in order to do so. Because of this, and honestly - his attitude, Johnny doesn't have that many friends.

But Spider-Man is different from all the other kids - he's just like Johnny. And not only because of the powers, but because he is also as active and eager as he is.

They are both excited teens that shout their lungs out whenever playing video games or like the prank war they started most recently after Johnny gave Spidey a super shaken soda.

Sue acts like a scolding mother whenever those two make too much ruckus, but in all honesty, she loves seeing Johnny laugh with a friend. For a moment, she can close her eyes and pretend that her baby brother has a normal life with a friend like him.

And Sue finds the hero so cute. He's so polite, so eager to learn and help, so playful and kind. It's refreshing every time he comes and visits the tower, almost like a reminder that there is still a world for them outside of extra-dimensional travels and the Baxter Building.

A world where her family can belong.

"HERBIE? Open the window please" Sue requested as she talked to the roof, where the building's resident robot had ears from and could do as asked from wherever he is.

"Right away, boss!" Chirped the happy robot, doing as told.

"Spidey! Hey!" Sue yelled as she neared the window and waved for the masked hero to notice her.

"Oh! Hey Dr. Storm!" The hero replied happily as he returned the wave. He was a little shocked at the fact that he didn't even notice where he was because of his mind wandering to Emma every now and then.

Sue rolled her eyes at the way he called her, but still maintained the smile on her face.

"Come on in!" She called again.

Peter considered it for a moment, but getting his phone out from his concealed belt, he saw he still had an hour to spare and he is fairly close to his workplace.

"Sure!" He called as he made a mighty jump, easily crossing the street below them and making it into the Baxter building with some complicated maneuvers

"Tada!" Said Spider-Man happily turned to see Sue fully.

*Giggle* "It's always impressive to see how you move in the air. Like a gymnastics expert or something" Sue giggles as she asks HERBIE to close the distance once again.

"Well, the amazing part of my name doesn't come easily, y'know? I had to work for that adjective" Peter quips humorously.

"Well deserved in my opinion" Sue replied with an easy smile that soon turned into a small scowl which she used to ask sternly "but what did I tell you about calling me 'Dr. Storm'?"

"Erm, not to do it?" Spider-man asked shyly "sorry, Sue"

"That's better, sweetie" the older woman smiled gently. Hearing someone she and her whole family considers a friend calling her so professionally makes her feel bad. Like they are not as close as she would want to be with the teen.

"So, what can your friendly neighbor help you with?" Asked Spider-Man, returning to his happy demeanor.

"Nothing really, I just saw you bored and I thought we could chat or something" replied Sue easily "you want water or anything else?"

"Oh, thanks! I'd love some water, actually" Spider-Man said, which somewhat surprised The Invisible Woman.

Usually, Spider-Man would be too shy and distant to accept anything from anyone on the team. Whether it be staying for dinner or just a light snack that HERBIE prepares for the family. Never has he had the initiative to ask for something on his own or accept anything this easily.

'Someone is warming up to us' thought a happy Sue as she guided the young hero to the kitchen.

"Woah, this place sure is big, huh?" Spider-Man muttered a little more to himself than anything, but Sue heard all the same.

"Yeah, it feels especially big when you're alone" Sue muttered as she looked around the huge hallway, moments before entering the kitchen.

Place she was originally in, but left in order to go for a quick bathroom break, where she found Spider-Man as she was on her way back.

"Speaking of which, where is everyone?" Spider-Man asked as he neared the kitchen island.

"Well, Reed is busy as always in his lab. And you just missed Johnny and Ben, who are going to try and win some food challenge a restaurant dared them to in social media. It's for charity… or something like that" explained Sue as she neared a crib behind the counter that Peter didn't notice.

"Oh, well, that's nice of them" Peter mused aloud, feeling a little jealous of the public's love of the team while he's still regarded as a menace by part of the city.

"And right here, is Franklin!" Sue exclaimed excitedly as she suddenly lifted up the baby.

He is a little blond and small cute baby with big round blue eyes; almost the spitting image of his mother.

Action which shocked Peter, who knows how protective she is of her baby. She, showing him to Spider-Man, is a huge step in their friendship.

"Aww he's so cute" cooes Spider-Man from afar "he really looks like you!"

"I know! Isn't that great?!" Says Sue as she shoots him a bright smile, happy at the comment.

"Say hi to your uncle Spidey, Franklin!" Sue exclaims as she cradles her baby a little fast, trying to wake him up.

'…Uncle Spidey? S-she trusts me enough to call me that to her baby?' Peter thought shocked, filled with emotion. Never had he thought that he would get so close to the fantastic family.

Uncle… that position really means something to Peter.

Franklin's eyes started to open up, and the first thing the 19 month old baby saw was his mothers loving eyes, motioning with her head to look at something before her.

Looking in that direction, the baby saw what resembled a person with deep red and blue skin, black markings all over and only two white, dead, mean eyes in its face; no ears, nose, mouth or nothing.

Just those two huge and angry looking eyes.

"…" Franklin said nothing for a moment, but Sue could feel her baby start trembling in her arms as his hands clenched hard against her blouse for safety.

"Oh no" muttered Sue as she knew what's coming.

"Huh-?" Spider-Man wanted to ask what Sue meant, but was quickly interrupted.

*WWAAAAHHH* screeched the baby in his mothers arms as he gazed upon the terrifying figure trying to resemble a man.

"S-sorry!" Was Spider-Man's first instinct when he saw the baby crying upon seeing him, raising his arms in surrender to show that he didn't do anything.

"D-don't worry! He's just not used to meeting new people and well… your mask might be too scary for him" confessed Sue as she turned around and kept Franklin from looking at him.

"I-It is?! Aww man, I designed it specifically for children to like it!" Peter whined, more to himself than anything.

"It's alright baby, everything is fine…" Susan started muttering encouraging words for Franklin, who isn't showing signs of stopping with his crying.

"I'm so sorry, Sue! I was so excited to finally meet Franklin, but…I-I should just leave" Peter said ashamedly as he scratched his nape 'god, what a screw up!'.

"No, don't! It's just… going to take some time for him to get used to it… I think" Sue replied, not wanting her friend to get any bad impressions on her sweet boy.

'… should I?' Peter started thinking of a way to fix the situation without the need of him leaving, and could only come up with one solution.

The same solution he came up with when trying to ease the crying girl in the fire all those months ago in his first 'mission'.

But should he? Should he reveal his identity to the Fantastic Four? They have been nothing but welcoming to Peter, and ever since their first encounter he hasn't sensed his spider-sense warn him about anything from the four members of the team.

Except obvious things like 'watch out with Johnny's flames'. Not that the sense talks to him, but it's pretty obvious when it warns him about something like that.

And they have been super nice to him every time he's visited them, and now Sue here is confident enough to present her baby to him! Confidence like this should be repaid in kind… right?

Plus, he's been having his secret identity 'stolen' without his consent lately. It would be nice for him to be in control of who knows his identity for a change.

"H-hey Sue… can I…? I can trust you, right?" Peter knows it's dumb to ask that. After all everyone, including villains with secret agendas would say confidently: 'sure! you can trust me!' but Peter needs one last reassurance before he does what he's about to do.

Sue snaps her attention towards Spidey over her shoulder, who just made a pretty weird question given the moment. But she answered truthfully either way "Of course you can trust me, Spidey! With anything you want".

Her response was firm and her eyes screamed confidence in her answer. And Peter used any trick he had to try and detect any deceit in her words.

Much to his relief and expectation, he found none.

Franklin cried somewhat once more in his childish and snotty voice due to his tears, making Sue focus on her son once again.

"Shh it's okay baby, there are no monsters here…" Sue said soothingly as she placed herself between Peter and Franklin so that the young boy can't even take a peek of the teen and his 'scary' suit.

With one last deep breath, Peter braced himself for what he was about to do. It's the first time where he is willingly revealing his identity to someone, and the fact is dreadful to him.

So many nightmares that hunt him about scenarios where his villains unmask and recognize him, only for everyone around him to suffer the consequences of his actions.

But Sue is not a villain, is she? It's like it happened with Wolverine, where they both already are in the life of the supernatural and are more than capable of defending themselves against the evildoers that have a target on him.

Plus, she evidently trusts him enough to show her baby son to him and call him an 'uncle'. And if she's to be trusted with what she said, he's not used to meeting new people. Which means that amongst everyone she may know, she feels so confident enough to invite him to her house just for a cup of water, a chat and a chance of getting to know her family better.

"U-uhm, Sue? Perhaps I may be able to calm him down?" Asked Peter shyly and still unsure of himself as he removed his mask.

"Sorry, sweetie. Maybe later, he's still pretty shaken up by your ma-" Sue started saying apologetically as she turned her view once again from her shoulder.

Only for her to gasp once she was met with deep brown eyes matching a brown mop of hair from the clearly young and nervous looking boy standing in her kitchen wearing Spider-man's costume and holding the mask on his hands.

The boy offered her a shy and unsure smile that screamed that he was nervous about doing what he's doing.

And that is revealing his secret identity, his most sacred secret, to her.

"H-hi, Sue" said the boy lamely as he waved his hand as his voice stammered a bit due to the nervousness.

"Mommy?" Asked a teary eyed Franklin as he looked at the shocked face of his mother, never seeing her doing quite the face.

"H-hi…" Sue replied lamely as well as she turned around fully, allowing her baby to see the brown haired boy.

When Sue turned around the baby tensed once again, expecting to see the monster. But instead, his blue eyes met with the brown and kind eyes of a boy he's never met before, making him look in curiosity rather than fear.

"Oh, hey Franklin. Look, there's nothing to be scared of, it's just a mask" Peter explained gently as he held up his mask in front of him, making the baby be able to see that it was indeed just a piece of clothing.

"M-makh?" Franklin tried to imitate what the boy said, but couldn't properly pronounce the word.

"Hey that's right! You're a pretty smart boy, aintcha?" But Peter encouraged the boy with an excited tone which made the baby feel happy.

"Y-yeah, my Franklin is pretty smart. He's almost talking in full sentences at just 19 months old" Sue snapped out from her shock at seeing Spider-Man's real face when her baby was being praised.

She is very proud of her big boy.

"Really? Wow, that's amazing, little dude!" Spider-Man said excitedly with a bright smile on his face, showing genuine amazement at that.

Which got Franklin to giggle in her arms.

"Smart and pretty good looking as well, I'm sure someone is going to grow up into someone to look out for, huh?" Spider-Man said in a teasing and funny voice, making Franklin laugh a little harder this time.

"You're pretty good with kids, huh?" Susan mused aloud. It was impressive how Spider-Man got her baby to go from a crying mess to his giggling and cute self back.

"I've been around many. Mainly in FEAST where I had to take care of some while my… mom, works" Spider-Man started explaining with a warm smile on his, quite honestly, good looking face.

But Sue did notice how he faltered a bit when mentioning his mom.

"That's a nice place to work at. Giving back to the community - she must be a nice woman" said Sue with a soft smile on her face.

"Yeah, she is" confirmed Peter as he looked at the mask he was wearing with a smile on his face.

This is his way of giving back to the community after all, and it's all because of her and his uncle. Hearing someone like The Invisible Woman say that fills Peter with an indescribable warmth in his chest.

"Is she the reason why you… wear the mask?" Sue asked somewhat hesitantly. She knows that Spider-Man just took a huge trust leap with her and she doesn't want to spook him away.

Which seems she failed to do so because he suddenly snapped his eyes towards her in an almost frightened manner.

"Oh! I… I don't think I'm ready to talk about … m-me?" Spider-Man asked lamely as he took a step back and shot her an uneasy smile.

"I understand that, sweetie, have no worries about that" Sue said with a smile that eased Peter a bit "I was just very surprised to… see you, y'know?"

"Y-yeah, I get it" Peter said as he sighed and looked sheepishly to the ground "and if I'm honest? I wasn't planning to reveal myself just yet to any of the team. Or anyone for that matter".

"Oh, then why do it?" Asked Sue with genuine intrigue.

"It's just… you guys have been so great with me" Peter started to ramble "you took me as an honorary member without asking anything from me, which really helped with the rep I have with officials and such; you guys have been inviting me to your home time and time again, enough for me to consider you all real friends and now you even present me to Franklin that I just… thought this was the least I could do".

"Oh darling, you didn't have to reveal yourself to me if you weren't ready for it" Sue said with a warm heart. It feels good to know that the boy their family took a liking too also seems to think so highly of them.

"Really?" Asked Spider-Man with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, really" said Sue giggling at the image of the incredulous voice.

"… rats!" Exclaimed Spider-Man in a childish way as he snaps his finger, as if he was scolding himself mentally for doing so.

"…" Sue didn't say anything at that, but she did raise an eyebrow in mild offense as her son giggled in her arms at the funny expression of the boy.

"Oh, sorry! I didn't mean it like that!" Peter said quickly after seeing Sue's unamused face "it's just that you're the third person to know about this, and it's a bit overwhelming".

"Really? Who else have you told?" Asked Sue, both impressed and a little hurt. Here she was thinking this was a special moment between them, and it turns out she's his third option? Not cool.

"Uhm, they are friends that I think you definitely do not know" Peter started saying carefully to which Sue simply nodded "but you are the first I've told!".

Sue smiled at that, but quickly thought of the implication of his words "wait, seriously? Then how did the other two find out?".

"… by accident" Peter was debating with himself if he should lie or not, but he decided to twist the truth a little bit "b-but it wasn't my fault! They… well they kinda cheated?"

*Giggle* "Oh, Spidey" Susan giggled as she saw his expression, clearly trying and failing to excuse himself with a funny face.

"W-when I'm without the mask, you can call me Peter" Peter said while feeling a little unsure. But figuring that if she knew his face, he may as well tell her his real name.

Sue smiled brightly at the teen, relieved to finally have a name to put on the newly discovered face "it's nice to finally meet you, Peter".

"Yeah, it's nice to finally meet face to face" Peter replied with the same happy tone, feeling like a milestone in his heroic career and personal life "and it's also an honor to meet you, little man~".

Franklin giggled at the way the teen babied him, so he stretched his little chubby arms towards him.

"Aww look at that, he wants you to hold him!" Sue said excitedly, happy to see her young and so far secluded baby trying to socialize on his own "do you want to?"

"Really?" The teen asks dumbly, making Sue giggle.

"Of course!" Sue says as she closed the distance between the two and hands over her precious baby to her friend "here!"

Peter easily grabs the infant given how much expirience he has with kids, and smiled cutely at how the baby seems to love being in his arms.

Sue stares at both boys with an easy and happy smile while they are absently playing with each other, with Peter babying Franklin while allowing him to play with his one free hand while the baby giggled almost uncontrollably at what the older boy is doing.

And she feels peaceful.

Like this is correct; normal.

With Spider-Man - with Peter, she feels an unusual sense of security, safety and fun for her little ball of energy.

Which gives her an idea.

"You have a strong grip, buddy" Peter tells a giggling Franklin who is hanging onto Peter's fingers with an impressive strength "I thought I was strong, but geez-weez, you-"

"Would you be willing to babysit him?" Sue suddenly interrupts Peter with an almost enlightened expression on her face.

"Hm? Babysit?" Peter turns his attention from the baby back to Sue with raised eyebrows.

"Yeah! I always worry so much when we have our adventures and we have to leave Franklin alone with HERBIE" Sue starts explaining "I mean, HERBIE is great, but I'd really like it if he had more interaction with actual people".

"And… are you sure you want me to be the one who babysits him?" Peter asked with surprise.

"Of course! You really do seem great with kids, and Franklin here seems to really like you" Sue explains as she tries to grab her baby from Peter, which she does easily. Except for the fact that Franklin is still holding on to Peter's hand.

"W-well I'd be honored to!" Peter answered excited at the prospect of getting closer to the family he has come to like so much. It also helps that he is really fond of kids "will Mr. Fantastic also agree?"

"Mm? Who?" Sue asks with mock curiosity.

"Uhm, oh! I-I mean, will Reed also agree?" Peter asked again, now with his personal name that Sue seems so insistent in him calling them like that.

"I'm sure he will" she answers with a satisfied smile "he likes you more than he lets on, y'know?"

"O-oh, I uhm-" Peter stammered nervously at that, but was luckily interrupted yet again by Sue.

"Of course this is only something if you want to. Don't feel obligated to do it if you don't want to or anything" She adds quickly, not wanting to sound pushy.

"You kidding me?" Peter asks dumbly "it would be an honor to babysit Franklin! Plus, I understand how worried you must be leaving him alone, so I would be delighted to help!"

Which caused Sue to smile brightly once again, knowing the teen to be saying the truth.

"That great! Let's talk a little more, see when you're busy and whatnot" Sue then forced Franklin to release Peter and sat in the table they were next to, offering the chair in front of her to Peter.

Thus starting a conversation about how and when would Peter take care of Sue's son, without Peter ever revealing more than what he has to.

But that didn't matter to Sue. After all, from this point on she has all she needs to get to know the web-head better, and soon enough, he'll trust her and the family.

Just like she trusts him.

But for now, The Invisible Woman is content watching the young Peter's technique to get a giggling baby to eat with a smile on his juvenile face.

All while thinking how nice of a moment this is.
