Chapter 12 - 12

The team advanced cautiously into the inner corridors, where the icy walls dimly reflected the light, and the air was thick with a chill that penetrated every layer of clothing. Every step was measured, every sound echoing in the long corridor.

> Neros: Watch every movement… The corridors here are riddled with traps.

> Ranor (nervously and excitedly): I sense we're close to something big… Everything here points to the heart of the island.

> Lantos: That's right… and nothing on this island happens without a reason. The symbols on the walls indicate an ancient mechanical trap ahead.

They approached a carefully engraved floor, dotted with interlocking symbols and raised and lowered stones.

> Silver: This floor… Every wrong step could lead to a trap. We have to solve the symbols first.

> Petros: Don't worry… I'm ready for anything!

The team started cautiously, Neros leading, Silver watching the floor with a keen eye, Lantos analyzing the symbols, Ranor testing each step carefully, and Petros protecting the back line.

Suddenly, some stones shifted, and the ceiling of the corridor appeared to gradually lower, like a pressure trap.

> Neros (focusing): Quick! Every step is calculated... No one moves before I calculate the path!

> Lantos: The symbols on the wall indicate a specific pattern... Follow it precisely!

The team began moving according to plan: calculated steps, each stone carefully pressed, each step leading safely to the next.

> Ranor (whispering): This is like dancing on ice... but with everyone's lives on the line!

> Silver: Focus... There's no room for error.

After minutes of intense tension and concentration, the team safely passed the old trap, and the floor gradually rose again, leaving the team gasping with concentration.

> Neros (smiling slightly despite his fatigue): This was just the beginning… The island is constantly testing us.

Petrus: Good… Every step we take makes us stronger and more confident.

Lantos: Remember, intelligence and coordination are more important than strength alone… The island tests our minds before our bodies.

Ranor (with a smile): I'm certain we're on the right track… The adventure has just begun!

After overcoming the trap, the team continued to advance deeper into the island, each one aware that the dangers were increasing, that the island had yet to reveal its true secrets, and that the challenges ahead would require all their skills and coordination as a team.
