Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Suspicious Person

As the sun dipped low, casting long shadows across the city, Luna gathered her things, ready to leave her office after a long day. But just as she reached the door, her phone buzzed urgently. It was Emily, asking her to come to a secluded café right away.

When Luna arrived at the café, she spotted Emily sitting in a corner, her expression grave. Without preamble, Emily leaned in and whispered, "Almost everyone knows about Max's defeat Luna."

Luna stiffened, her eyes narrowing. "How close is he?"

"Close enough. You need to be careful, Luna," Emily warned. "Your peaceful days are numbered. If Max uncovers who you really are, it won't be long before everyone, including your enemies, knows as well."

Luna nodded, absorbing the gravity of the situation. As Luna left the café, a man seated at a nearby table watched her intently. Once she was out of sight, he rose, walking briskly to a sleek black car parked discreetly nearby. He knocked on the window, which lowered to reveal the stern face of Max.

"Emily knows the identity of Luna," the man reported. Max's lips curled into a sly smile. "So, I've been defeated by such a small girl," he murmured to himself, a mix of amusement and surprise in his tone.

Later that evening, Luna parked her car outside the gym, her thoughts swirling. But as she approached, she noticed something was wrong—the gym was closed. Panic gripped her as she rushed inside, searching for Arthur. She checked the house upstairs, the gym downstairs, but he was nowhere to be found.

Desperation set in. Luna hurriedly sent a message to all the gym customers, informing them of its closure for the day. Her anxiety growing by the second, she sped towards Arthur's school, her heart pounding.

She burst into his classroom, her voice trembling as she called his name. The students turned to stare, bewildered by the sudden interruption. Arthur, equally shocked, quickly excused himself from the class and rushed to her side.

"What's going on, Luna?" he asked, his voice a mix of concern and irritation.

"I was worried," she confessed, her voice faltering. "You weren't home, and I couldn't find you." Arthur sighed, his expression softening. "I have special classes today. I texted you, but I guess you didn't see it."

Luna nodded, feeling a wave of relief mixed with embarrassment. "I'm sorry," she whispered. "I'll wait outside until you're done."

As Arthur returned to his class, Luna leaned against the wall, trying to steady her racing heart. When the class finally ended, Arthur emerged with his friends, and they all gathered around Luna. The students whispered among themselves, admiring how cool and beautiful Arthur's sister looked in her business attire.

As they walked out together, Arthur spotted Nora at the school gate. He introduced her to Luna, who observed the girl with quiet curiosity. A black car pulled up, and Nora climbed in, leaving the siblings alone.

Walking side by side, Arthur and Luna made their way home. Arthur broke the silence, sensing his sister's unease. "Why were you so panicked earlier?"

Luna hesitated before answering, "Because in a few days, everyone might know who I really am. Our peaceful life... it might be over soon."

Arthur frowned, his protective instincts flaring. "We don't have to leave, Luna. This is our home, where Mom lived. We'll figure something out." Luna nodded, but her mind was still racing. "Is Nora from a wealthy family? She left in a fancy car." "Yeah, she is," Arthur confirmed. "Then why is she at this school? She could easily attend a prestigious one." Arthur shrugged. "I don't know."

When they arrived home, Luna informed Arthur that she had closed the gym for the day. He headed off to study while Luna prepared dinner. After eating, with the evening free, Luna suggested they play some games to unwind. They laughed and competed until it was time to sleep.

But as they lay in the dark, Luna couldn't shake her unease. "Arthur," she began tentatively, "I find something suspicious about Nora. Why would a girl from a rich family transfer to your shabby school? There must be a reason—maybe a family conflict or some other issue."

Arthur turned to face her, his voice gentle but firm. "You're letting your fear of being found out make you paranoid, Luna. Nora's not a bad person. Don't worry so much."

Luna sighed, knowing he was right but still unable to dismiss her concerns. "The rich... they can be ruthless, Arthur. Just be careful around her, okay? Don't get involved with her family."

Arthur chuckled softly. "You're overthinking it. Let's just get some sleep." As the siblings drifted off, a figure stood outside their house, hidden in the shadows. The person watched intently before making a phone call. "I've found her house," the figure reported. On the other end of the line, Max listened with a satisfied grin. "Good. Stop following her. I'll handle it from here."
