Chapter 22 - New Panel

Bella clicked on the new skill, Elemental Breath, on the system panel.

Elemental Breath: Perform an Elemental Breath in the corresponding form (Note: This skill can only be used in Dragon Form).

Alright, so it's a skill exclusive to my Dragon Form.

Of course, if she could use a breath attack in human form...

Bella imagined herself spewing a pillar of fire from her mouth.

Would it be like Godzilla? Or a cute version of the evil dragon's roar?

She quickly shook her head to remove the image from her mind; the scene was too explosive, it was better to forget it.

Moreover, since she had chosen to stay now, she should continue to live in human form.

Although Himeko and the others might have guessed her identity, her true form was, after all, humanity's mortal enemy.

Therefore, it was better not to expose her true identity, so as to avoid bringing trouble to St. Freya and Himeko.

Bella nodded. Then this skill would remain sealed.

Apart from that skill whose name she still didn't know, there was only...

She turned her gaze to the special skill, Magic Dragon Transformation.

Bella vaguely remembered that during the test, under Himeko's guidance, she seemed to have subconsciously used this skill, which even caused her appearance to change.

Clicking on the skill description, sure enough, the skill's description had changed.

Skill: Magic Dragon Transformation

Skill Description: Can transform into four forms: Magic Dragon, Ice, Lightning, and Fire. After transformation, corresponding elemental resistance is greatly increased, and the corresponding elemental abilities are possessed in that form (Note: The regular form is the Lightning Element Form).

Skill Details:

Fire Form: Fire Meteor (condenses fireballs to strike enemies), Fire Assault (forms multiple pillars of magma fire erupting from underground), Fire Tornado (summons a tornado formed by fire elements).

Ice Form: Sky Meteor (attracts ice elements to form a giant ice ball that smashes into the ground, freezing everything around), Ice Sprout (forms an Ice Sprout on the ground to attack enemies), Ice Tornado (summons a tornado formed by ice elements).

Lightning Form: Lightning Bolt (forms a high-voltage plasma ball that can linger and paralyze enemies), Lightning Wave (forms a circular electromagnetic shockwave centered on herself), Lightning Strike (summons a controllable high-voltage lightning bolt).

Magic Dragon Form: Can use mixed breath (Dragon Form) and can use all form abilities. Each attack comes with three elements, but all elemental resistances are greatly reduced, and Honkai energy consumption is intensified.

(Note: After using this skill, control over the corresponding element is greatly increased, and resistance to the corresponding element is greatly increased. The form will change with the element's attribute.)

Looking at the skill's description, Bella clicked her tongue.

One could only say that Magic Dragon Transformation was worthy of being classified as a special skill.

Four forms: Fire Form focuses on offense, Lightning Form on control, and Ice Form combines both characteristics.

The Magic Dragon Form, on the other hand, completely abandoned defense, gathering the offensive advantages of the first three forms.

The downside was that the Honkai energy consumption would likely be very high.

Bella estimated that with the current Honkai energy content in her body, she could support this form for a maximum of three minutes of combat.

But, wouldn't she have to transform every time she used her abilities from now on?

She imagined every time she fought an enemy in the future.

Both sides would be in a standoff, and then she would activate her abilities, performing a magnificent transformation in front of the enemy.

Hiss, that actually doesn't sound bad.

Bella thought happily.

Then she turned her gaze to the glowing task section on the system panel; she hadn't forgotten that she still had an unclaimed unknown task reward.

Opening the system panel, the system task showed a completed status.

She chose to claim the reward.

Ding!

Task: Trust

Status: Completed

Issuing Reward...

Congratulations to the Host for receiving the reward: Clues to finding the Herrscher of the Void.

Bella's eyes lit up; this reward was good.

Now she no longer had to worry about escaping, as she had chosen to stay at St. Freya.

Therefore, for Bella, the top priority was to resolve the matter of the Herrscher of the Void.

After all, the existence of the Herrscher of the Void hung over Bella's head like a great sword, unsure when it would fall.

It would naturally be best to resolve it as soon as possible.

What? You ask why not just ask Himeko and the others directly?

Please, although Himeko and the others have accepted her now...

In Himeko's eyes, I am a subordinate of the Herrscher of the Void.

A Herrscher's subordinate asking about the whereabouts of the Herrscher who created herself...

Although Bella's purpose in seeking the Herrscher of the Void might not be what Himeko and the others imagined, Bella also couldn't explain it clearly to Himeko and the others.

She couldn't possibly say that she was a transmigrator and now wanted to find the Herrscher of the Void to escape her control, could she?

Uh, Bella felt that if something like that happened to her, she would probably send that person directly to the hospital to see if they had a mental problem.

So Bella's search for the Herrscher of the Void still had to be done in secret.

But now the system had directly given her information.

"If only it could directly give me the Herrscher of the Void's location, whether she's alive or dead, that would be fine too."

Bella rubbed her hands expectantly and clicked on the reward.

Four sentences appeared before Bella's eyes.

Paimon, equally curious, flew to the system panel, as all information about the Herrschers of this world was blocked from her.

So, regarding the Herrschers of this world, she and Bella were equally clueless.

What appeared before Paimon were four sentences, which Paimon read out word by word:

"The storm of desire, the lightning of conquest, the plague of raging flames, the stillness of death. Eh, what do these mean?"

Not to mention Paimon, Bella was equally bewildered.

These were the clues the system provided to find the Herrscher of the Void?

It seemed to have given them, but also not.

Sigh, no choice. She would have to secretly investigate these four sentences later.

After all, Bella had no other direction or information now; she might as well treat a dead horse as if it were alive.

Moreover, no matter what, it was a clue given by the system.

It should, probably, possibly be useful.

Putting away the system panel, Bella lay back down on the infirmary bed.

Seeing Bella lie down, Paimon also descended from the air and found a comfortable spot in Bella's embrace to lie down.

The pure white moonlight streamed through the window into the school infirmary, illuminating the room.

Bella held Paimon in her arms, ensuring the little one wouldn't fall, then slightly turned her body to look at the sky outside the window.

The sky in this world was no different from her previous life.

Similarly, there was a full moon, and similarly, the night sky was filled with stars as numerous as grains of sand.

But what was different was that in her previous life, the only person she cared about was Mother.

Uh, her heir in her previous life probably counted too.

In her previous life, her dream was to one day put down the burden of being clan leader, find a place, and live a happy, leisurely life with the people she cared about.

But she never realized her dream until she died.

This life, however, was different. Although there were some twists and turns, she found the people she cared about and wanted to protect.

Bella found her home in this world, and they were willing to accept her.

Although Bella didn't know how long this life could last.

But Bella believed.

Her time at St. Freya would definitely become the most beautiful memory of her life in this world.

A slight smile touched her lips, and Bella slowly closed her eyes.

The night, once again, fell silent.
