Chapter 2 - Ch 2

chapter 2

--

Zombies, he whispered.

As he observed the street, he could see many zombies that appeared out of nowhere.

The zombies were slow, and their movement was also unstable.

Some zombies couldn't even walk without falling every few seconds, and some had missing limbs.

It was as if they didn't even know how to walk.

Some zombies were even bumping into each other and falling.

Looking at this scene, Ethan was a little excited.

Unlike most people who would be scared by a scene like this, Ethan always wanted to live in a zombie apocalypse.

Especially after watching the walking dead.

The slow and dumb zombies portrayed in the show made him believe he could easily survive in a world like that.

It would definitely be better than the miserable life he was living if it couldn't even be considered living.

Making just a bit more than his living expenses, constantly getting insulted and scolded by his boss, and being able to say nothing had made Ethan hate his life.

Many times he wanted to punch his boss and tell him that he was quitting.

He wanted to tell everyone that judged him to fuck off.

Tell his relative telling him about how much their children were making to stfu and get out of his house, but he couldn't because of the social norms.

Ethan never spoke up, being introverted from a young age.

He never dared.

But as he grew up, he understood what mattered in the world.

Money!

The so-called equal and peaceful society was just a mask.

People with money and status were treated far better than common people like Ethan.

From a young age, Ethan understood that people were not what they seemed.

Everyone was just pretending to be nice.

The society we live in was just a place the rich could enjoy.

But in an apocalypse, everyone was equal.

Zombies didn't care if you were rich, a politician, a model, or even a commoner.

They will tear you to bits and kill you.

An apocalypse was a world where everyone was truly equal.
