The bedroom door clicked shut behind Cole, and I finally let myself collapse.
Pain.
That was the first thing I registered. Not just between my thighs where he'd been too rough, but everywhere. My jaw ached from being forced open too wide, my joints throbbing with the kind of deep, bone-tired pain that meant I'd strained something.
My throat burned, raw and tender, like I'd been screaming for hours instead of choking on him.
I swallowed reflexively and immediately regretted it. The motion sent a sharp spike of pain down my throat, making me wince. It felt swollen. Bruised on the inside where he'd thrust too deep, held my head in place with that punishing grip on my hair, and used my mouth like it was nothing more than a convenient hole.
