Chapter 2 - Phase Two

"Uh, I'm the type of girl that everybody type

Double tap, tap, tap, what everybody like

You can check my stats, got everybody's eye

And I run them laps,round everybody's mind

All of these girls on some uppercase shit

That mean they all cap

Being the best at whatever I do

That's sounding on brand....."

Ps. That's 'Typa girl' by Black pink.

I've been listening to that song on repeat for three hours straight. Today is Saturday, and like every other Saturdays I always accompany my dad to work.

Now what does my dad do? My dad has a large supermarket so I assist him only on Saturdays cause we are always short on sales workers so am there to help every Saturday.

Ps. My dads' supermarket is called Essential Supermarket.

On this particular Saturday, I went to buy some prescribed medications for him. On my way back I saw the images of two boys entering our store, I kinda thought they were Jason and George but I felt my mind playing games as distance became a barrier.

I confirmed my suspicions that the two boys were actually Jason and George when I got to the store. I was actually surprised to see them around this area.

Why? Because the area I think they stay in should be a 45 minutes drive to my own area so I was actually wondering why they decided to drive 45 minutes away from their area just to shop in this area when I am 100% sure that they could get whatever they want in theirs.

Anyways they were also surprised to see me and I introduced them to my dad as my very close friends.

After the introduction, Jason started buying what they needed to buy, while George and I sat down to talk.

I needed to know why they were here so I asked George what they were doing here and he said that they came to see his sister-in-law so they decided to buy what they would need around here, I nodded listening carefully,we talked some more until Jason was through.

When he came out I said, "so I will see you guys on..... " expecting them to complete my sentence, which they actually did.

"Monday, in the field,"that was George speaking.

I didn't have any idea that they will have football training on Monday, so I hurt because Erin is supposed to be my informant and he decided not to do a good job.

Ps. Erin is our departmental Director of sports{DOS}.

As the only girl on the team I ain't in their WhatsApp group so it's Erin's job to inform me about anything; training, meetings and match and he didn't do it so I wasn't happy cause if not for Jason and George seriously I would have missed training, but thank God I was informed beforehand.

Hence, I felt I needed to change my informant to someone else and George fitted the description.

> Someone who's on the team. √√

>Someone who's friends with me. √

>Someone who's always on the phone. √√

>Someone who's line is always reachable. √√

>Someone who's a star player. √√

Now don't get me wrong, Jason fits the description bu...t the second and third is a no, cause Jason and I don't even talk to each other but then he raised his hand back then and I still see myself wondering how he is a friend to me, anyways I also know that his phone is always on >Do Not Disturb< cause I know what I know.

But I really hope George does his job as my informant properly, as I escorted them to the bus stop,we said our goodbyes and I went back to the store.

Now another Saturday, basically the one after the previous one.

I and my dad were done for the day and we were about closing in fact we had already closed, when "they" came to buy something ,again!!.

By "they" I mean Jason and George, my dad had to reopen the store cause they were his daughter "friends" and he did just that.

Payment became a problem cause our palmpay pos has already been shut down.

Other options« First bank and Gtbank but these two bank have terms and conditions attached to them.

So I asked Jason to transfer the money to my account cause it will be easier to access and plus I know them so they can't run if that's what my dad is scared of and he did just that. Anyway we parted ways after goodbyes where being said .

When I and my dad got home I had to transfer the money to his own account, total amount was fifty thousand naira which I transferred but the problem was, my balance wasn't the same; there was added money.

I checked my balance and my history and saw that sixty thousand naira was transferred instead of fifty thousand naira.

First thought« he made a mistake.

So I thought on Monday I'd tell him.

Yayyyy!!! It's Monday, who am I kidding Mondays are always stressful and I don't know if I will be able to get passed it but anyways I am so looking forward to training. Oh! Training, yeah I need to talk to Jason.

It's training time and as always am always the first to get there, seriously i ain't kidding am actually always there before everyone else.

When everyone arrived they started running laps and exercising.

I went to stand with our coach who was yelling out orders to the members, looking forward I saw Jason.

Ps. Jason had a severe leg injury so he can't train or play until they heal properly.

I walked up to him

"Hi"

"Hi"

"You sent sixty thousand instead of fifty

thousand "

"Yh I know "

"So y the added money"

" ...."

"Wait!!! please don't tell me you sent me sixty thousand naira,of which you are aware of and you have no fucking idea whyyyyy"

One thing I am not a fan of is pity. If you wanna pity someone trust me I ain't the best candidate.

"I...I"

"I what!!!!"

Trust me at that point I was already angry cause

>>>first you pretend you don't know who I am although we see each other almost every day

>>>and then you send me money I never asked for.

Seriously that's a good one, and I give him credit for it.

Anyways I understood everything that happened and why he did it though he seemed sincere and besides I was once in his shoes. After he apologized, I told him I understood him and we just stood there watching the other members run and play around in the field.

After the training ended our the coach gathered us and we had a little improvement meeting and then everybody went home pending our next meeting.
