Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 Who Are You

Minato Namikaze's Chakra had been completely depleted by her, and her half-share of Chakra couldn't possibly stop the seal from opening.

So, she could only reluctantly abandon the good idea of continuing to stay outside using a Shadow Clone.

Unexpectedly, things took a turn.

"Should I give it a try?"

After the initial excitement, Kushina decided to attempt it.

Since she no longer had a physical body, she easily separated a portion of her Chakra, transforming into a spiritual state.

"It worked!"

As soon as she left the seal, she saw Naruto sound asleep. Kushina put her hands on her hips, a wide smile on her face.

Suddenly, her eyes darted around, and she decided to go see what Lin Mo was doing.

She easily sensed his familiar spiritual aura, controlled her spirit to fly out, passing through roofs and walls as if it were a game.

Within seconds, she floated into Lin Mo's apartment and found him sound asleep.

"He really is quite handsome," she murmured with a mischievous smile, leaning in to observe Lin Mo's features closely, then swiftly flew into Lin Mo's body.

The scene shifted, and she arrived in Lin Mo's mental world.

When she clearly saw her surroundings, her smile immediately froze, and her face flushed crimson like an apple: "Why is there another me?"

"Lin Mo, stop this! Don't do anything reckless!!!"

What kind of space was this?

The floor was covered with shiny black marble tiles that reflected like a mirror, and the ceiling was adorned with magnificent crystal chandeliers.

The large bed was made of black fragrant wood, and the armchairs were carved with exquisite patterns. The entire space was so luxurious it was dazzling.

On one side of the room was a large window, through which she could see towering skyscrapers, brilliantly lit. Looking down from the window, the crossroads teemed with traffic, and she heard all sorts of sounds she had never encountered before.

Looking to the other side, she could even see the sea and a beach.

Normally, Kushina would have been incredibly excited and would have thoroughly enjoyed the view.

Whether it was the decoration, the architectural structure, or the living environment of the people, it all far exceeded her imagination.

She had initially felt quite pleased with herself for suddenly intruding into Lin Mo's mental world, thinking she could learn about his world before he transmigrated.

This was supposed to be a marvelous journey to another world.

But now, she regretted it immensely, almost breaking down on the spot.

Because she found Lin Mo doing push-ups to train his abs in the room, with another person doing yoga beside him, performing various stretching exercises.

Both were drenched in sweat but didn't stop, giving their all in a Taijutsu sparring match.

Speaking of Taijutsu, Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, the progenitor of Chakra, must be mentioned.

Initially, there was no concept of "Jutsu" until Kaguya's eldest son, the Six Paths Sage, separated Chakra and taught humans how to use it, thus creating the three types: Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Taijutsu.

However, Taijutsu doesn't necessarily require Chakra; it focuses more on physical strength.

Now, Lin Mo and someone else were practicing Taijutsu, competing against each other.

This kind of competition tests physical strength, stamina, recovery ability, and techniques.

And the person sparring with Lin Mo, Kushina felt she couldn't be more familiar with.

Ah, it turned out that person was Kushina herself.

In that instant, she understood everything that was happening here.

Seeing herself and Lin Mo fighting, she had to intervene and help.

"Behold my Adamantine Sealing Chains!"

Five Chakra-condensed chains shot out from Kushina's back, wrapping around Lin Mo's two wrists, two ankles, and neck.

With the chains pulling, Lin Mo's movements became much more difficult, like running with sandbags tied to his body.

Fortunately, Lin Mo had just finished a set of fat-burning training and was stretching to relax, so this sudden change didn't startle him.

"Heh, this is quite interesting."

Lin Mo raised an eyebrow when he saw another Kushina, whose hair was as red as her face, suddenly appear next to him.

She was indeed a woman of the Uzumaki Clan, having inherited Asura's Yang Release power. Her physical strength and recovery ability were outstanding, making her naturally suited for Taijutsu.

Even in his own world, Kushina's advantages were formidable.

He wondered when she had used the Shadow Clone Jutsu.

"Now this is what I call interesting."

Lin Mo wasn't angry; instead, he was amused.

Even in the space he controlled, he hoped Kushina wouldn't be too restricted by him.

Only a more authentic Kushina would truly be like her real self.

"I'm in charge here."

"Adamantine Sealing Chains? Retreat!"

Lin Mo roared softly.

His mental power surged out, and Kushina immediately felt a force pressing down, trying to make her retract the chains.

"No way!" Kushina increased her Chakra output.

As a result, the Taijutsu duel turned into a battle of mental power.

Kushina possessed the Spiritualization Technique, allowing her to unleash her full power, making her quite formidable.

However, Lin Mo held the home-field advantage and was not much inferior.

Kushina still felt his mental power was incredibly strong.

"This is getting interesting."

The two were at a stalemate for a moment, and Lin Mo decided to add more to the mix.

"Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes Jutsu!"

Lin Mo's dark eyes suddenly turned blood-red, and Three Tomoe appeared in his pupils.

Kushina's heart trembled when she saw it, and she exclaimed, "Sharingan? How do you have a Sharingan!"

Lin Mo had written in his diary that the Sharingan was a Bloodline Limit of the Uchiha Clan, descendants of Indra, the Six Paths Sage's eldest son, and belonged to the Yin Release system of Ninjutsu.

So how did he, an outsider, get it?

"Huh?" Lin Mo was momentarily stunned.

Kushina's reaction was too realistic, leaving him a bit bewildered.

Was he dreaming?

He secretly pinched himself, but it didn't hurt at all.

Looking around, it was still those modern buildings.

Yes, it was indeed his territory.

"What is thought during the day is dreamed at night."

"Kushina's temper, she actually came into my dream!"

Lin Mo thought this, but something still felt off.

If it was truly a dream, why didn't it start from the beginning, but only halfway through?

Did she compromise at first because of what he said: "Wife, you wouldn't want Naruto to suffer, would you?"

That was probably it. Dreams always have some loopholes; it's good enough if they can be self-consistent.

With that thought, Lin Mo had no more doubts. He grinned at Kushina and said, "Why can't I have a Sharingan?"

His Three-Tomoe Sharingan was actually a reward from the diary, but it was a simplified version.

Today's reward wasn't the Sharingan itself, but the "Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes Jutsu." This Jutsu could only be used with an activated Three-Tomoe Sharingan and was as famous as "Sage Art: Frog Song," both being extremely special Genjutsu, also known as paralysis Jutsu.

Those caught in it would clearly realize it was a Genjutsu, but their bodies would be unable to move, like being paralyzed by a ghost.

Back then, Uchiha Itachi used this technique against Orochimaru.

"Whoosh!"

This dream space, constructed by mental power, instantly transformed into a Genjutsu space under the influence of the Sharingan.

Kushina felt immense pressure and horrifyingly discovered she couldn't move.

Immediately after, Lin Mo's figure instantly appeared before her, flipped her over, pressed her against the large window, and then lifted and bound her hands together.

With the enhancement of the Sharingan, three iron nails condensed from Yin Release power appeared out of thin air: one pinned her hand, and the other two pinned her feet.

"Lin Mo, let go of me!"

"If you dare to lay a hand on me, I will never forgive you!"

"Please, please!"

Kushina's voice was tearful.

She was originally skilled in the Spiritualization Technique and had intended to do as she pleased in Lin Mo's world, but she hadn't expected him to possess Genjutsu.

When a person is controlled by Genjutsu, they need to disrupt the Chakra flow within their body to release it.

If it was a non-Dōjutsu type Genjutsu, she could handle it herself.

But if it was a Dōjutsu type Genjutsu like "Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes Jutsu," then she could only rely on the help of a companion.

In other words, she was completely unable to resist now!

"What are you afraid of?"

Lin Mo smiled and shook his head, gesturing for her to look out the window.

"Don't be scared, look at this scenery."

"This is a beautiful sight you would absolutely never see in the Ninja World."

Vehicles constantly moved on the streets, the city was bustling, and colorful lights scattered like stars in the sky.

Standing at the top of a tall building and looking down, the entire world seemed to be within view, grand and magnificent.

In the distance, the moonlight enveloped the sea, and the round moon shimmered on the water, with gentle waves lapping the shore.

Suddenly, dark clouds obscured the moon, a strong wind picked up at sea, and the waves became turbulent.

The waves turned into giant swells, rolling across the sea with the strong wind, as if thousands of troops were galloping, roaring towards the shore. The rocks on the shore were pounded with deafening thuds.

As Lin Mo said, Uzumaki Kushina had never seen such a sight in Konoha or the Ninja World.

For a moment, she even forgot where she was, completely immersed in the beauty of this otherworldly scenery... Meanwhile, in Kusagakure (Village Hidden in the Grass) in the Land of Grass.

Lin Mo was showing Uzumaki Kushina the scenery of his hometown.

And one of his Shadow Clones was looking bewildered at another red-haired Uzumaki Clan girl.

"Hey, who are you? How did you find me here?" Lin Mo asked, confused, pulling out a kunai and striking a pose.

"Hi, my name is Karin Uzumaki, you can just call me Karin." The little girl stared intently at Lin Mo, as if to engrave his appearance into her mind.

"I came to find you because I want you to take my mom and me out of here, okay?"

What?

Lin Mo's Shadow Clone was momentarily stunned.

Shadow Clones don't share memories with the original body, so he knew nothing about what happened in Konoha Village, or about the diary, or the original body's conjectures about the diary.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have been so surprised by Karin's arrival.

However, the Shadow Clone's thought process was the same as the original body's. Lin Mo quickly pondered: "How did you find me? Why do you think I'll take you?"

"Kagura Mind's Eye, of course!" Karin said with a smile, "I can sense Chakra within dozens of kilometers around me, and I can distinguish truth from falsehood, good from evil, just by Chakra."

"Most people in this village treat me with hostility, and some are even cold-blooded. Only you have a good heart towards me. My mom is also getting worse, that's why I came to you."

Karin spoke flawlessly.

Lin Mo couldn't find any fault, he was just puzzled as to how Karin, at such a young age, could use Kagura Mind's Eye so skillfully. Her talent was simply amazing.

What he didn't know was that Karin had received the magical blessing "Goddess of Light's Protection" from the diary tonight. Her physical strength, recovery ability, bloodline power, and so on, had all increased a hundredfold, lasting for twenty-four hours.

After the blessing, a tenfold effect would remain for seven days, and finally, a threefold effect.

Currently, Karin's strength was several times stronger than her original self three years later.

"I want to help you too, but I really can't right now."

Lin Mo didn't waste words and stated it directly.

"Why not?" Karin grew anxious.

Her and her mother's identities were sensitive; people in Kusagakure were always secretly watching them.

Her ability to sneak out tonight was entirely due to her increased strength and her mother's cover.

If they couldn't leave today, their chances would be even slimmer in the future.

Moreover, if her mother's current condition were discovered by Kusagakure, she would surely suffer.

"I'm just a Shadow Clone; every bit of Chakra I use is less I have," Lin Mo explained. "Taking just you would be fine, but taking your mom too would be difficult."

He had been keeping an eye on Karin and her mother since arriving in Kusagakure.

Mikana's Chakra was almost gone. A few days of rest might allow her to last a bit longer, but leaving now, she couldn't even walk.

And his Shadow Clone didn't have much Chakra; whether running with two people or using the Flying Thunder God Technique, they wouldn't get far.

Once caught by Kusagakure, it would be disastrous.

Although Kusagakure couldn't compare to the Five Great Hidden Villages, it was still an old and established village, not easy to deal with.

"Oh, so you're worried about her, then that's fine..." Karin immediately sighed in relief and smiled when she heard that.

Lin Mo was stunned.

Did Karin plan to escape by herself, abandoning her mother?

"Um, if my mom can move by herself now, can you take us?" Karin continued to ask.

"Your mom? Moving by herself?" Lin Mo found that quite amusing.

After all, he had checked on her an hour ago, and Uzumaki Mikana's condition wasn't good at all.

"Yes." Karin nodded quickly, "Can you?"

"That depends on how well she's recovered." Lin Mo didn't immediately refuse.

"Then hurry and come back with me to see." Karin immediately turned and left.

Lin Mo had no choice but to release his Sensing Technique and followed her.

Soon, the two arrived at Karin's home and slipped in through a small window on the side.

"This..."

"Is the Uzumaki Clan's recovery ability this incredible?"

When he saw Uzumaki Mikana again, Lin Mo was astonished.

The Mikana before him, aside from being a little pale, had completely shed her exhaustion and deathly aura.

Her hair, which had been mostly white, had actually all turned red again, though the color wasn't very vibrant, appearing a bit dry.

The most exaggerated part was her Chakra volume; it felt like several Kakashi combined couldn't compare. Lin Mo even suspected his Sensing Technique was malfunctioning.

"Hello, sir." Mikana bowed deeply to Lin Mo, her eyes full of anticipation as she asked, "Please, can you take Karin and me?"

Over the years, she had met many people, but Lin Mo was the kindest to her and Karin, and he was powerful and mysterious.

If even he wasn't willing to help them, she wouldn't know what to do next.
