What were humans doing with such things?? He didn't mean to be beast-phobic, or whatever it was even called, but at this point, something fishy was going on.
He would have ignored it if the humans were the ones giving the orders, but from what he was seeing, they looked more like mere puppets—as if being pulled by the horrifying beasts. The creatures were staring at them as if they'd made a mistake they shouldn't have.
"Travis, why did you laugh like that? Are you okay? Did something happen to bring out this side of you?" Derek questioned, ignoring the creepy, dark gazes fixed on them.
"Aren't these the lizard people Maya and Jordan spoke about?" Travis threw back another question, acting as though Derek hadn't just asked him one.
"Oh, you're right, these definitely look like lizard people," Kai chimed in, nodding. Travis could see right through the lie—the dragon was clueless and probably didn't even know what lizards looked like, much less recognize them.
