Chapter 6 - Spending Contribution Points Can Make

Li Zhifeng didn't look back as he ran. There were many women in the corridor wearing the same uniform as Yang Yulan. Li Zhifeng felt like they were ghosts, dodging them left and right.

He ran all the way to the eighth-floor rooftop. Li Zhifeng leaned against the railing, looking at the endless streams of vehicles and pedestrians in the city, and only then did he feel like he had finally returned to the real world, gasping for breath.

"Hey, buddy, what's up? You want a cigarette?"

Li Zhifeng turned his head.

It was a gaunt man in a beige casual outfit. He wore a pair of old-fashioned gold-rimmed glasses, which weren't very popular anymore. He wasn't particularly handsome, but he looked refined and gentle, giving off the impression that he was a highly educated and cultured intellectual.

"Me? Yeah, sure, I'll take one. Thanks." Li Zhifeng took the cigarette, and the man with glasses lit it for him.

"Judging by your accent, are you from Capital City?"

"Oh? No, no. I'm actually a native of Lingdong. I studied in Capital City for many years, so my Mandarin inevitably has a bit of that accent."

"That's a coincidence," the man said, pushing up his glasses. "I'm also from Lingdong and went to school in Capital City. May I ask which university you attended?"

Li Zhifeng told the man, who was wearing glasses, his university and major.
